We booked a sunrise kayak tour this morning for our last day in Holbox… We were excited about it... pick up was supposed to be for 6am ... we were ready and waiting by 5:55am... THEY'RE A NO SHOW!!!!!We called and messaged the number given all through the 40 mins .. yes a FORTY MINUTES wait.. 3 texts and 5 calls later.. they finally text to say they can't find the guide that was supposed to pick us up and it's NOT happening. They and to come by the office to get a refund..(at least they refunded our funds). We were told the guide didn't wake up????????? Really????? Wow!!!! So disappointing...

My wife and I did the Tres Islas tour and had an absolutely phenomenal time. When we asked for information about the tours while walking on the beach, we were told what each entailed and there was zero pressure to sign up. It sounded like a fun, unique experience at a reasonable price, and it was. We were in a small group of 8 on our boat which was speedy, comfortable, and expertly piloted by Denilson, who was also very knowledgeable and informative about all the aspects of the tours. The time at each spot was perfect, and lasted just over three hours total so you are easily able to do other things during the day. As someone who isn't big into tours while on vacation, this was a highlight of our trip.

Great experience. They are honest people and give you a clear explanation. The trip to the place where the walesharks where was long but worth it.

We were a group of 5 so we hired a private tour for the whale shark, and for the Bioluminescence the following day. Both jaw dropping tours! Staff was super friendly and helpful. Both tours a MUST if you are ever in Holbox

My experience with the company is very good. In the morning we bought a trip for bioluminescence. Because we arrived in the evening, the day before from Vallalolid, we didn't realize that there was a time delay at Holbox. We arrived an hour late for the trip. Ariel, our salesman, suggested the possibility of going on the next day's trip, which we accepted. It was windy that day, the trip could not take place. Ariel waited for us and refunded our money. We thank him for his serious approach.

Not Correct. They have sold the tour as a snorkell tour with some fishing and visiting some nice beaches. But finally we could not snorkell because the water was too milky..what is ok, as you they can not change the weather,but they should tell it before leaving and ask if I still wanna go ( it is not like a whale watchnig tour where is 50/50 % to see whales..)as I have choosen this tour for 1100 $ instead a cheaper one 700$ without snorkelling. Anyway the tour was nice but did not worth the money. Finally I have asked for some refund but they did not give any and did not offer anything even did not Say sorry also were arogant, not as nice when they sold the tour. Also told me I got it cheaper than the others what is not true as other people on the boat paied 1000$. So THEY ARE NOT CORRECT,DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS.

We had a wonderful time. We went for the 3 hour tour. We caught allot of fish. The guide Thomas and his son were absolutely wonderful A must do when going to Holbox. We caught all manner of fish and got to take them back to the b&b. They made a fish dish onboard that was so yummy. I do not know why we cannot make a review that is better than average. I would say it was excellent.

As we were aimlessly wandering around, we found this place who took care of tours, rides, food and shopping recommendations. We had a blast seeing the bioluminescence, fishing for our fresh cooked ceviche, and jumping in the fresh spring cenote at Yalahau. Cesar is wonderful and went above and beyond for us. We can’t thank him enough! Great prices and never once felt taken advantage of. 10/10 recommend

My wife and I wanted to do a Whale Shark tour and we went to Holbox and we paid 3000 pesos per person plus a camera rental 600 Pesos (About $450 Canadian). I was told that we would definitely see the whale sharks and also be able to swim with stingrays and other fish too. We spend about 3 hours on a very uncomfortable boat going at a very high speed on very rough waters to reach the destination. It was so uncomfortable and many people got seasick and were throwing up and we all had sore backs. After an hour of wandering around, we did not see anything at all. Then we had to go back again for 3 hours. On the way back the captain of the boat let his co-worker lady drive the boat and the boat almost flipped over. After we arrived, I complained that we did not see anything and also wasted my whole day and demanded a full or partial refund. However, the staff members were very rude and unhelpful. This company has multiple booths near each other to give the impression of competition but they are all the same company. I also learned that for Whale Shark tours, it is much closer and cheaper from "Isla Mujeres".

We used Gama Extreme to do a Kayak tour in the mangroves on Holbox island. There were two of us, and our tour guide was Sergio. Sergio was prompt and on time. Sergio is an absolutely gem. Gama Extreme is lucky to have this guy on their staff. We had a bit of a language barrier, but the three of us figured out ways to communicate, laugh, find some wildlife, enjoy the sunset, find nature's bathrooms, and ponder all the deep parts of life. Sergio is the man, and anyone who gets to have him is in luck. Thank you! We will never forget Sergio.

Today we paid the 50% remaining before starting our whale shark tour and they stole $500 pesos in our face, we gave $3,500 pesos and they "lost" $500 pesos note. They argued we only gave $3'000 and not enough with this, on our way back I forgot my diving boots on the boat, I asked for them a couple of hours later they said there was nothing, cheap and unethical company and a bunch of liars! On top of that two people felt bad of seasickenss and threw up because the "captain" was driving way too fast and was in a rush

If you ever have the opportunity to visit Holbox Island, make sure to book a tour with Gama Extreme Tours. My husband and I did two tours with this company. Cesar, the manager there took excellent care of us. Our first tour was a bioluminescent tour. It was such a cool experience. The second tour we did was a private sunrise tour. We went to Isla de la Pasion, Isla Pajaros, Punta Cocos, and Punta Mosquito. We had door to door pick-up service from our hotel to our destination. The best part of the tour for me was going fishing for the first time and swimming in the lagoon. Captain Tomas was so nice and very knowledgeable.

We used Gama Extreme to go to different tours including kayaking on the river, boat tour to Isla de la Pasion, Isla Pajaros, Punta Cocos, and Punta Mosquito, and we can not say enough good things about all this people who made out of this a very positive, refreshing, and memorable experience !
