At your selected Costa Brava pickup location, you’ll climb aboard a coach destined for magnificent Montserrat. During the drive, you’ll receive an introduction to the history of the rugged mountain and monastery, considered one of Spain’s most important pilgrimage sites.
Board a cogwheel train at the base of the multi-peaked mountain and enjoy spectacular views as you ascend to the summit. Disembark at the renowned Benedictine monastery — home to sacred statue, La Moreneta (The Black Virgin) — and tour the abbey at your own pace. Hear the celestial voices of the children’s choir; see the 12th-century carving that attracts millions of pilgrims each year; and admire the building’s spectacular architecture.
After a traditional lunch (own expense), travel down Montserrat on the cogwheel train and returning to Costa Brava by coach.
