- Jedda10 contributionsTour, history and great wineWe opted for the 6 tasting experience and it was great. Brief tour of the winery, sellers and the company history then into the wine! When we visited they were bottling the 2019 Reserva Chianti, so that was cool to see.Written September 21, 2022
- ErickHayes0 contributionsTastingThe wine tasting was fun and tastes great if you like dry red wines. The som was very informative and my wife and I had a great time and bought 2 bottles. We also had a little buzz after the tasting. Great fast and attentiveWritten October 26, 2019
- CTTraveler2030 contributionsA very pleasant surprise! While driving through Tuscany we saw the sign for wine and olive oil tasting so we stopped. Our guide was very knowledgeable and informative. The wines that we tasted were superb! We especially liked the Rose and the Chianti Classico Gran Selezione was absolutely amazing. Great little find. Glad we stopped.Written September 30, 2019
- beth c0 contributionsGreat local wineryWe were very happy to be able to visit this local winery after touring the commercial Barone Ricasoli. We were able to stop by for a tasting without reservations. Good wine at an affordable price. Short but informative tour of the wine making process. Also some areas for nice photos.Written June 16, 2019
- DameCristina0 contributionsLovely experience in the Tuscan hillsGreat wine tasting experience in the heart of the Chianti region. The tour includes a short overview of the wine making process, a visit to the cellar and a tasting at the end. We tried 4 different wines, vinsanto and the olive oil. Our guide (I think her name was Eleonora) was very nice and gave us a lot of very useful information on the wine types, the history of the winery and of the area. Highly recommended.Written May 3, 2019
- Christina S0 contributionsHighly recommendedThe place was excellent and (the football champion :-) ) Eleonora as well. She answered all our questions and made the wine tasting a very enjoyable experience. We liked most of the wines, but it was interesting to try all of them and see the differences between them. We also bought 2 bottles, the baruffo reserva and the rose petali. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommended!Written March 12, 2019
- angelamarie180 contributionsWine tasting and TourToday we ran into this winery on our way through the countryside. Eleonora showed us around and made us feel right at home. She was very knowledgeable and made it a great time. Great wine and beautiful views!!! Thank you!!Written March 3, 2019
- Buckeyebart0 contributionsBeautiful Super Fun and Informative A ++Camilla was a terrific sommelier. Very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the Chianti wine making process. By far the most beautiful setting and intimate tasting we did. You must take in all the ambiance of this special little place. Wild boar hunting dogs, real black roosters cockadoddleadooing a true sign of the best wine DOCG in the Chianti region! Beautiful little veggie and flower gardens surround the wine tasting villa which just added to the whole experience. Camilla referred us to a small "hole in the wall" Osteria called Il Bandito just down the road that was outstanding and the views from their balcony were stunning. BTW they serve some of the regional wild boar and it was one of my favorite meals in all of Italy! Salute' Scott and Dannette BWritten October 26, 2018
- Will D0 contributionsA great vineyard to visitThis is a family winery run by the Cantalici brothers. The hosts are extremely welcoming, and it was very simple to set up a private tour. Our guide spoke English very well. This was the first vineyard we visited in the area, and our guide did a wonderful job of explaining the process of making the Chianti Classico. The hills around the vineyard are so beautiful that you feel like you’re looking at a painting. The vineyard is generally challenged for space, and some of their fermentation tanks are outside. Their wines are still developing and don’t have the following of some of the larger vineyards as they’re a smaller vineyard. But they still produce a decent Chianti and the wine tasting couldn’t have been a nicer more fun process. I highly recommend coming here for a visit and picking up a few bottles.Written September 13, 2018
- Rodney C0 contributionsWine visit after lunchHad lunch in Castagnoli as the cellars were closed for lunch. Visited Cantalici as an Italian sommelier said that it was good value for money. The vineyard is situated in a beautiful part of Chianti. The cellar is on the road and quite obvious. We went to reception and organised a quick look at their wines. The staff spoke English. Bought two bottles of awesome wine for a great price. Loved them. Recommended.Written September 11, 2018
- Manfred V0 contributionsNice "new" winery with very friendly staffWe did a tour around the winery where the very friendly lady showed us around and explained us a lot and answered a out questions patiently. After that we did a wine tasting of all the six red wines the winery produces. The wines were very good and the information was very good. Of is really a nice place to visit. The lady also didn't push us to buy wines etc. but of course we did. It is good to see the passion that is needed to produce these Nice products.Written August 13, 2018

- JCouchie0 contributionsWonderful tour and tastingsWe visited Cantalici with family and had a wonderful time on the tour around the cellars. Our host was very friendly and informative about the vineyard, and each wine. The setting is stunning and we were treated to delicious tastings of the wine and olive oil at the end. It was a lovely visit and we even took some of the Chianti Classico for home!Written June 20, 2018
- travelingjoe520 contributionsLovely Vineyard & Wine TourQuaint & lovely. The tour was very informal ( which is what we were looking for), and done extremely well! Wines were very nice!Written June 18, 2018
- Wanderwoman190 contributionsBeautiful setting for a great tasting! What a pretty place! Neatly kept flowers and genuine black cockerels in the yard. We'd received a voucher from our host at the place we were staying and as we had a free afternoon we booked and spent a very pleasant time here. We were warmly welcomed to our tour for two - yes, a personal tour by our very knowledgeable guide, who showed us around the winery (it is a small winery so the tour will be short). We saw the fermentation tanks, the cellar where the wines are aged in French Oak and the brick kiln from the 1500's which has been beautifully restored as part of the main building. Then the tasting - a very generous one to boot! All in all we tasted 7 wines, a rosato, an unusual white made from the Malvasia Bianco grape, four Chianti Classico including two riserva and a vin santo a sweet wine all dried fruit and honey (and there were still two we didn't try!) We tried their cantuccini made from spelt flour with the vin santo and also tasted their olive oil which had the flavour of freshly mown grass. All that tasting and the good value prices for the wines led to a purchase (or two); one for shipping and one for holiday drinking. The personal service was greatly appreciated and made this one of the most memorable tasting experiences of our holiday. Thank you!Written June 8, 2018

We did a last minute booking but the staff were really helpful in getting us in at a time that suited us.
Great wines, lovely people and a beautiful location. The Vin Santo and olive, in addition to the good quality Chianti are well worth a mention.

We had a wonderful tour and tasting from Elena. Loved the history of the vineyard and also the fact it’s now eco friendly in its processes.
We ended the day with plenty of wine to enjoy at home. Something for every taste.

Authentic organic family run vineyard. We did the tour and tasted 6 wines & their wonderful extra virgin olive oil. Ina, our guide, was very efficient and friendly and took us through the wines with ease. A must for amateurs of Chianti. Beautifully crafted wines! Highly recommend.

Amazing experience! The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. We were able to try 6 wines, plus a bonus vin santo / olive oil, all of which were delicious. We walked around to amazing views of the vineyards after the tasting, too!

Spectacular place, the visit is very beautiful and interesting. The wine is really good and excellent value for money, in my opinion it's worth it. We bought some cases of wine and will definitely order online, since it is not yet physically available throughout Italy, I highly recommend stopping by.
