A truly incredible experience. Joe is a great tour guide - his humour, relationship with the vineyards, and overall friendly and relaxed nature made for a very lovely day. He took the time to learn everyone’s name and engage with them in conversation. The wine tours were great however the highlight was Joe sharing his knowledge of Māori culture with us. Would definitely recommend this experience.

Was fortunate enough that our tour was just us so it provided for more time to get to know our guide Joe and really learn a lot about the area. The wineries we visited were excellent and tastings were generous. Joe does an excellent job and makes for a great day out. Highly recommend.

My friend and I were the only 2 people on the tour that day and it was indeed a great express experience of Maori culture and the local wineries! Joe was passionate and funny, always cracking a joke or two along the way, and shared a lot about local history and culture as well as insight into the 2 wineries we went to (Aitken's Folly and Rippon). The staff/owners we met at the wineries were nice and explained the different wines / the region well too. Would love to try the longer wine tour if there's a next time as Joe told us that he would drive out to further regions for more varieties of wine experiences! Would recommend to anyone coming to the region :)

Joe is an exceptional guide who is warm and genuine, and has managed to blend the perfect amount of Maori history with wine tasting. My partner and I immediately felt comfortable with him from the start and his popularity is plainly evident in all 3 of the wineries we were brought to (and were given special treatment on account of Joe). We had a great time learning about Maori culture on this very personal tour that included a traditional welcome greeting and creating our own pepehas while sipping wine and eating cheese. Joe was also happy to answer any questions we had and we couldn't recommend him more for a chance to learn more about NZ's history accompanied by good wine. All the best to you, Joe!

Everything on this tour was sensational! Great local knowledge, fantastic Maori culture, amazing knowledge of the area and a real Maori Experience! So passionate and welcoming yet very humble and sharing. You can see why he is an asset to the tourist industry in the area and it really made us feel like locals. All of the wineries he chose were local family owned so this also supported the local economy. I thought I knew my wines but Joe knew how they were made, the differences between the grapes, and how the locals make their products stand out. A beautiful part of the country shared with us by a real Local!

Joe is incredible! Not only did we learn about Māori history and culture, but he also is very knowledgeable about the wine and vineyards in the region. My husband, mother in law and I thoroughly enjoyed Joe’s company. He is one of the most genuine people I’ve ever met, and he gave us an unforgettable experience during our first time in NZ. The tour was amazing and should definitely be on everyone's itenerary when they visit Wanaka. Joe was extremely knowledgeable about both Maori culture and the wineries and was fantastic at teaching and explaining everything. I couldn't recommend this tour enough.

Joe was absolutely great helping us set up a wine tour for our group with a lot of seniors. He was patient and also spoke the right amount and with enthusiasm about the Maori culture and the wines in the region. Would definitely book another trip with him next time

Superb wine tour with Joe as our host. The warm Māori greeting was charming and he was filled with knowledge of the culture. When we arrived at each of the three wineries, it was apparent that the wineries knew him well and I felt like we received special treatment because we were with him. The charcuterie board he ordered for us at the second winery was so delicious. I highly recommend this tour.

We had a fantastic day with our guide Joe. Not only did we visit 4 premium wine producers from the Otago region (Pinot Noir & Chardonnay specialists) but also learned so much about the Māori Culture from Joe. His traditional Māori welcome was a very cool way to start the day. Highly recommended!

From the start , Joe was welcoming. We felt really comfortable and as we journeyed through Wanaka wine district we learnt a lot about the region and Mori culture.

This was an amazing tour! If we could have given 10 stars we would! We would 100% recommend this tour if you want to sample some amazing wineries, with not only spectacular views but further exploring the Māori culture. Joe made this tour for us, he is so friendly, knowledgeable and his passion for sharing the Māori culture was amazing! We loved the e-bikes too, what a great way to explore and see more of Wanaka!
