We had an amazing experience hiking the beautiful and giant glacier. We did the shorter tour but our guide Sofia did an AMAZING job, showing us every detail, telling us stories, information and guiding us through this wonderful experience. Even though she was sick she did her best and we are very grateful for that. This is definitely one of the best experiences in Iceland. Communication with the company was also easy and fast. We highly recommend it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our glacier hike with Local Guide. The scenery was beautiful, and our guide was knowledgeable, informative, and entertaining. She was patient with our slower pace (we are in our 70’s), and as a bonus, took lots of beautiful pictures! The crampons provided by the company were also helpful. I highly recommend this company!

This ice cave tour was an incredible experience that I would happily do again. Our guide identified the best photo spots, helping us capture the cave’s breathtaking beauty from various angles. Additionally, our guide was attentive and accommodating, taking photos for solo travelers as well as group shots. He understood our desire to capture every moment and made sure we never felt rushed or pressured. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Iceland.

Coming from a tropical country, I can say that this experience is a major highlight of my Iceland trip. The hike was filled with memorable moments, including a couple of adrenaline-pumping scares. By the end, we all agreed that this adventure was even better than the ice cave tour we did the day before. It felt much more intimate. Shout out to our incredible guide, Asta! I don't think I have ever encountered such an excellent guide before meeting her. She was patient, technically competent, knowledgeable about the glaciers and Iceland, and passionate about her work. Towards the end she made sure that we see amazing features of the glaciers that even she had never seen before. She always made sure everyone was safe and paid close attention to everyone. This was an amazing hike, with localguide.is the company website was super easy to get the tickets, very efficient web interface and communication. The hike was amazing with the weather cooperating and scenery. one of the highlights was our guide Barbara, amazing great human being, she was extremely knowledgeable, had great conversation during the hike and she is a gem of a person with love for her work and environment. We had our family of 5. Ages 19-55. Went with our guide Sam. She was absolutely amazing. She loves what she does and we felt completely safe with her. Highly recommend asking for her. We are adventurous and wanted to climb. She made the trip a dream come true. There were times when the crampons gave us trouble but Sam was attentive helped us fix them, gave us some pointers and we continued to climb. Would do it again 100% liked the small group size and family feel.

Damien, our hike guide made the glacier hike such a fun. We hiked the glacier, climbed ropes, abseiled a bit. Nothing dangerous or risky but so much fun.

What a great activity, we were pushed out of our comfort zone, but that was what we wanted. The guide (Rocky) was great, he made sure we were all safe and we all enjoyed the trip.

Our Glacier Discovery adventure with guide Barbara was simply incredible. Barbara took great care of us, from outfitting us with crampons, axes, helmets and climbing harnesses, to leading the way through the ice fall and giving us interesting and relevant information along the way. Definitely enjoyed the unique vistas and will likely come back for another visit as the glacier is constantly changing and no two tours are ever the same.

The tour was very exciting. it is a tourist tour, you do not expect extreme sporting activities, but breathtaking views. the fact that there are only a few people is very positive, compared to other tours that host up to 16 people. The guides are all very attentive to people and explain well. the equipment is all quality. the tour does not include visiting ice caves
