      creating lasting relationships
Paweł Ciupa was a GREAT tour guide. Made us all feel comfortable driving a snow mobile for the first time. Creating lasting relationships is something that is very important to me & Paweł did just that. We connected and realized he is from a city so close to where my parents live. Pawel, thank you so much for this awesome tour. My husband and I truly enjoyed it.

      Exhilarating
Amazing views and tour in general! tour guide Magni was fantastic along with the rest of the team. They provide almost everything from helmets and thermal suits to small things like rain boots, gloves etc. The snowmobiles looked brand new and very well maintained. It didn’t feel like we were going slow you will definitely get an adrenaline rush. 10/10

      It was amazing
We did the hike and climbing. It was amazing! Thomas found us a beautiful spot to climb with a big hole we could walk through to go out, sun shining through it. Clear explanations about what we needed to do, we learned a bit about the glacier and just had a great time. You can climb more if your fingers/forearms are strong.

Highly recommend- wonderful guides! (Thomas G./Antone)
Amazing tour with Thomas Gousset and Antone. We started with a larger group and went into 2 smaller groups. Antone was very descriptive and helped us get ready to hike, Thomas led my group during the excursion. I'm best described as a tentative hiker (I've never used crampons, generally hike in terrain where I can wear trainers), and I was very pleased with the options and tips Thomas gave during the hike to make it easier. The experience was amazing, the views are incredible, and I highly recommend the tour, even if you're not a hiking enthusiast.

      Took Us An Adventure
Our tour guide, Thomas, started with a nice tour of the glacier, which already was super cool, but he knew we were a capable group so he took us off the beaten path. He went ahead of picking away paths for us to go, and he even screwed in a rope for us to view straight down a hole. Unforgettable tour.

Obviously being on the glacier was incredibly cool and a wonderful experience but our guide, August, totally added to the fantastic experience. August was an absolutely amazing guide! He was knowledgeable, fun and made the experience so enjoyable too. He brought us through crevasses, into ice tunnels, and let us climb up and abseil down the ice. I would definitely recommend the 5hrs as I would have been disappointed to be leaving after 3hrs like the other tour.
Couldn’t recommend the experience, guide, or company more. The best experience!

This hike with our excellent guide Hanka has truly been one of the most outstanding parts of our time in Iceland. She was extremely knowledgeable, helpful to us first-time glacier trekkers and engaging with our teenage son -- which he told us he really appreciated. The scenery is magnificent and the smell of the air and sound of the rushing water is unforgettable. 5 stars.

Iceland is the most beautiful country we have ever visited. To get the opportunity to get onto the Vatnajokull Glacier in light of how they are changing, is an experience that if you can, you should take.
August was our guide. A true Icelandic man who lives and breathes his vocation in life. He was clearly passionate and was constantly modifying, kicking stones scraping ice out of the way to keep our paths clear and safe. He explained in understandable detail how glaciers evolved and how dangerous they can be if you are not experienced.
The hike we took was called for only the brave. A trek to a magnificent ice cave. We had lessons on how to fit crampons correctly, how to use an ice axe, how to walk, how to move downwards and upwards and how to look around and spot dangers. He would NOT allow us to wander. He was hyper aware of us at all times. This was super reassuring.
If you are reading this August. Thank you for a great day. It was MINT

To our guide Andrea and the entire staff, this is a must-do! It's an experience we won't forget thanks to the Icelandic Adventures team. From the gear, professionalism, safety, and overall experience we were treated to some of the best views of Iceland. The early wake up call to be the first ones on the glacier was beyond worth it. We hiked further than I expected but it makes for an unforgettable experience. This was our second trip to Iceland and second time with Icelandic Mountain Guides and each time their excursions were the highlights of our trip, thank you! If you want to make the most of your time in Iceland, book an excursion with them ASAP.

Our guide, Soffia, gave us an incredible experience hiking the glacier that’ll last a lifetime. The 5.5 hour hike was on the unbeaten path compared to what other tour groups do on this glacier. The ice cave she led us to was secluded and just an incredible natural scene. Most of the tours in this area don’t go here because it’s a slightly more difficult trek. But, we took several breaks and kept a steady pace and it was so worth it. Soffia can also tell you just about everything when it comes to the glacier movements, history, and fun facts about anything in Iceland. It was an unforgettable experience experience and the coolest thing i’ve ever done.

Mountain guide Soffia was amazing. Communicative, experienced and the right amount of control of seven people , six who'd never worn crampons. Excellent instructions on how to walk in crampons on different slopes, whilst navigating our way across the glaciers.
I'm glad I didn't listen to the on-site booking person who said you don't need lunch / snacks for a 5 hour walk, just a big breakfast. This was mentioned to Soffia at the short lunch break, after the ice cave and I have confidence that this was promptly addressed.
Soffia's priority was our safety, this didn't stop her from being friendly sharing information and fully answering any question.

We absolutely loved our glacier hike! Our tour guide Mikhail was amazing, we loved that he put safety first and explained as much as we wanted to know about the glacier and it's history. We got to explore the ice cave, and because we were such a small group he let us decide what we wanted to do and when. We even got to climb some at the end which was a fun experience. He was also super helpful during the climb and offering to take pictures for all of us plenty of times. Some of my most favorite memories of the trip were on this hike. We got amazing pictures and I just still can't believe myself that we hiked it. If you are thinking about going, do it. It was not super hard if you are in ok shape, we had to climb in a couple areas but most everything else was just leg work (may not be good for someone with bad knees); like going on a long walk up hill haha! We did stop multiple times along the way so it didn't seem strenuous at all to us, and we could have even kept going.

My boyfriend and I booked Glacier Adventure tour and it was absolutely amazing!! The hike was more than worth the money and left us with gorgeous memories and photos! Our guide, Michal was even kind enough to come pick us up from our close by camp site when our car broke down, and even helped us fix our car after the tour. He was a very energetic, kind, and safe guide- I felt comfortable the whole time, and we went high up the glacier to see small ice caves/ arches and drank from glacier water. 10/10 recommend!!

Hiking on a glacier...it does not get any cooler than that! I select this tour for my wife and I because of the small group size (8) and really glad I did because we got personal attention from our guide Clement. He was outstanding. Very professional, safety oriented and generous with his knowledge of what a glacier is and the various techniques used to safely walk it. You can tell Clement is really passionate about guiding. He made sure to learn all our names, often requested feedback about whether we needed breaks or not and if we were ready to resume our walk after a break. We even had the time to setup a line to allow each and everyone in the group to safely get close and looked down into a crevasse.

According to Clement our group was fast paced so we easily got to the highest section that's safely possible to get to and had a lot of time to pause for glacier related discussions. Part of guiding is to adapt to the abilities of the guided so your experience may be a little different than ours.
