Tour consigliatissimo.

I would really reccomend this tour. Our guide, Mark, was very well prepared and very kind. He gave us a lot of information about the glacier and explained many things to us. Our group was made by 6 people and this was a big plus.
I would definitely recommend the 5hours tour as the hike is not very hard and does not require particular skills and in 5 hours you can reach a good altitude.
This glacier for sure is something to see if you are in an Iceland trip

We absolutely loved the Glacier Explorer experience. Lots of time on the glacier itself and we heard the glacier cracking while we were there, a really unique experience! Kate, our guide, was brilliant, so informative and chatty. Thanks for teaching us the “angry cowboy” walk on the ice 😜 would definitely recommend to others and make sure to be curious and ask lots of questions. One of our favourite parts of our trip!

This is something that you need to live once. We had a great experience hiking the glacier. However, I didn’t like that we had to hire hiking boots for an extra cost because ours weren’t hard enough. Also, I would have appreciated more interesting facts about the glacier during the hike.

Dear Torralboaslaj, Thank you for taking the time out and posting us a good review. We are happy that you have enjoyed hiking the glacier and had a great experience. Proper hiking boots are very important. You need to have proper hiking shoes with ankle support so you could put on crampons (metal spikes that we attach to the soles of your hiking shoes) These enable you to walk on the glacier ice without slipping. That's why you must have proper hiking boots. It's for your own safety. Once again thank you so much for your review and we hope to see you soon again so we could explore more of Iceland together! Warm wishes from Iceland.

My husband and I did the glacier explorer hike with Ollie and Alex as our guides. Wow!! What a phenomenal experience. Ollie and Alex were the most amazing guides, they were funny, educational and extremely friendly. This was a once in lifetime experience that I would highly recommend if you’re looking for something fun and exciting to do.

Did this tour with a group of 4 of us, and it was fantastic! Got fully set up by the Arctic Adventures team after meeting at Skaftafell. Social distancing and mask policies were appropriately followed indoors. I felt fully equipped and safe before starting the experience.

Our guide, Claudia, was awesome! So incredibly knowledgeable about the glaciers in Iceland, how to navigate, and all of the fun stuff to explore along the way as well. So incredibly happy to have had Claudia as our guide for the adventure!

The glacier itself was stunning as it climbed up toward the mountain tops. Quite unlike anything I have seen before, and it's really striking and illuminating to see how far the glacier has receded in the past 10-15 years as our climate further warms. One of the most visible evidences of climate change I've seen yet.

This tour was incredible and has ignited a greater desire to get out, explore,

My boyfriend and I booked this guided glacier tour and it was an amazing experience. Our tour guide, Ollie, was phenomenal. He was very informative and knowledgable about glaciers and the geological history of Iceland. We learned so much from him! Ollie knew the landscape of the glacier so well and was always educating us on the safety of glacier hiking. We could not have been more pleased with our experience and Ollie definitely made an impact on how our tour turned out! Thank you!!

We went for the Volcano hike in Iceland and had an amazing time. We didn’t know what to expect but our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us all the info we needed. His name is Vjeran, if you go for this hike you have to go with him. I was a little scared to come down the mountain but he helped me coming down and was very compassionate. Really funny guy too so he is a must on any Icelandic adventure.

Our tour was cancelled due to storms, which is completely understandable. However, it has been weeks and we still have not received our promised refund. This is highly unprofessional and disappointing, especially for a valued tour company.

This was a really amazing experience! I was initially worried it would be too hard as it is 5 hours long, but actually a lot of that is preparing and it was fine. I definitely wouldn't do the 3 hour hike unless you have a health/ timing reason. Our guide (Christian) was awesome, and was really invested in finding us cool stuff so we had a good time. The ice changes every day so there is no set trail and the experience differs. It wasn't very cold on the ice when we were moving (but it's summer and was 9.5C at the base) so I wouldn't recommend overdoing the layers. I didn't wear waterproof clothes and I was fine but it barely rained.

This would have been a 5 star review, but the fun was dampened somewhat by a few older ladies that were slow moving and wanted to go back before the end. Therefore, we didn’t get to go as far as the other groups we rode the bus with. Other than that, the hike was great offering amazing views and the guide had great information about the glacier and was friendly and answered all our questions. You have to wear crampons so definitely make sure to wear at least over ankle boots, and you’ll also want waterproof coat and pants!
