In February 2020, we booked this wine tour as part of a Valentine's Day weekend trip to Alsace. We had a through tour of the cellar and learned more about the history of the winery. We learned (and tried) the different Alsatian wines and what makes them different. The tasting included the entire range of wines - from the dry to very sweet. Overall, I found the wines to be more smooth then white wines in the US. Prices are extremely reasonable. We purchased a few bottles to enjoy for the rest of our trip and to take home for our family to try. The staff was so warm and friendly and was happy to give us itinerary suggestions for the rest of our trip. The education we received on Alsatian wines gave us a lot more confidence to order wine in restaurants throughout our trip in the region, too.
Fast forward to 2021 - after 17 months of trying the Alsatian wines in the US and finding few that compare to the Schwach wines we enjoyed (they do not export to US), we were able to book a trip to Paris. We contacted Schwach to place an order and have it sent to our Paris hotel. The package arrived within 2 days, packed perfectly, and ready to take home to the US. The entire transaction was seamless.
We are looking forward to returning to this winery to taste more, but in the meantime, they have found a way to make enjoying Alsatian wines at home a little easier!
