Fantastic multi-day snowshoeing backpacking adventure, my third time with LA. Yosemite in winter is utterly amazing. Thank you to Scott for making it happen, in a narrow window of opportunity given the winter weather of 2023. Kara was an incredible guide - great knowledge and insights on Yosemite, route selection suited to preferences, wonderful food (more cookies, please!), and all-around fun. Highly recommend LA!!

WOW~ Our tour of such an unexpectedly beautiful area was enriched by the daylong conversation and touring with Will. We saw varied areas including a lake, a stream, and a rock dome, some wildlife, and exceptional views (and he could name just about every peak within view).

Even though last-minute health issues prevented our group from taking our tour with Lasting Adventures, they were very communicative throughout our journey. We had an awesome day on Half Dome with our guide, Zach. He was professional, attentive, and gave us great tips on how to climb up and down the cables. The hike was so much better having an expert along, and he made sure we were always well hydrated and nourished. Zach also told us interesting facts about Yosemite, the climbers, and the flora and fauna. He was the perfect guide, and it definitely was a memorable, successful hike because of him. Highly recommend Lasting Adventures for any Yosemite hikes.

What a awesome experience we had with Lasting adventures! Cara, our guide was absolutely fantastic. She ensured at every step the whole group were happy and comfortable. She was incredibly informative with the history of the park, the terrain, plants and animals. She kept us entertained with quizzes and was wonderfully sociable. She is also the most amazing cook! We ate like kings out there in the wilderness, all on 2 small camp Gas burners, that’s a serious skill!!! I can highly recommend this company for a unforgettable hike in the truly stunning Yosemite park. We will be back!

I have booked 2 trips with Lasting Adventures now. One for my son, he did a 2 week teen back packing trip in 2021. And one for me, I completed a 1 week backpacking trip in Yosemite this year. Both trips exceeded my expectations! The guides are amazing. 10 out of 10! Highly recommend! Well worth the cost!

5 stars for our guide Matt who took us on an 8 hour trek from Sunrise Lakes to Clouds Rest. That was 3000feet of vertical ascent, and kept us motivated, entertained and the time flew by.

Our family of 5 (all adults) wanted a two day hiking tour that was a great taste of Yosemite where we could see the amazing beauty and all the high points not to miss. Lasting Adventures gave us exactly that! Our guide Dyson was so friendly, knowledgeable and personable, he immediately seemed like one of the family! First day we hiked Yosemite Valley, seeing Vernal Falls, El Capitan, Half Dome, Sub Dome, and more. Second day was even more beautiful in Tuolumne Meadows and stops at Olmsted Point and a climb to Pothole Dome with a gorgeous 360 view at top. Thank you Lasting Adventures for helping easily navigate such a big park, see the most amazing sites and make many lasting family memories!

We booked a day hike with Lasting Adventures for our trip to Yosemite. Our tour guide Zac was fantastic. He called us the day before to suggest an alternative walk as the one we had booked wouldn't have been so good due to dry weather. He was prompt, polite, knowledgeable and great fun. Can't recommend enough. It was a fantastic day and the scenery is like nothing we had ever experienced.

We thoroughly enjoyed hiking with Zach - we learned so much history about the park, received a tutorial on climbing and climbing equipment, and when he learned that we preferred hiking to sightseeing he quickly switched gears and took us up the Mist Trail instead of touring the hotel and art gallery in the valley. I was surprised that so much sightseeing was otherwise part of an activity described as a “hike” - Zach accommodated our request for a more challenging hike on the fly (I had tried to call the operator the day before but you can only leave a voicemail) but if you have preferences he recommended that you use the email option to let your guide know in advance. Zach also pointed out details about the plants, trees, and wildlife we saw, and gave us recommendations for other hikes and a restaurant (Whoa Nellie Deli, excellent!) Well worth the price of a private guide.

My 17-year-old daughter just finished a two week backpacking trip with lasting adventures through Lassen Volcano national Park. It was her first time away from home and all the way across the country from our home in New York. She had an absolutely wonderful time. Her guides, Jackie, Emily, and Ella, were simply amazing. From small inconveniences like bloody noses and blisters, to challenging weather conditions like hailstorms, they never failed to keep the girls safe and cheery and well cared for. She bonded so well with the other girls and even plans to go backpacking in the future with one of them. As a parent/-Communication with them was always responded to promptly and even last minute changes were made with professionalism and capability. We would highly recommend this outfitter to anyone considering it for their child or themselves!

The views from Half Dome were amazing. The refreshing swim in the Merced river post hike was fabulous. My guide, John was outstanding. He took the time to get to know me and semi-custom molded our trip. I was happily exhausted each day. There was not any downside. 5 Stars !!!!!

Wasn’t sure what to expect especially as we are a family of 5 with kids ages between 9-19 so a difficult group to cater for but we couldn’t have asked for a better day. Zach our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and answered a million and one questions in great detail. He also took us off the beaten track to a few hidden gems we would never have found on our own. We would highly recommend this tour to anybody who’s thinking of travelling to Yosemite especially if it your first time.

My 14-year-old son went on the 6-day High Country Adventure with knowledgeable, kind guides John and Nat. He was a little nervous for his first backpacking trip but truly had a wonderful time and was so glad that he went. The trip was challenging in a good way and the group really gelled and had a great time together. I could not be more grateful for Lasting Adventures and the way they shared their love of spending time in our beautiful national parks!

My almost 14 yo son just returned from the 6-Day youth High Country Adventure. I could tell the moment I picked him up he was more confident than the kid I dropped off. He described the week in his own words as “amazing”. He also said it was “hard” but in a good way and that he learned he was tougher than he thought he was. The lasting adventures team are clearly experts at what they do and it gives the kids the opportunity to bond be independent make decisions learn from each other. My son has been back for 24 hours and has already asked to return next summer. He has already been telling all of his friends who are all now asking me to send information to their parents. So the trip is just that good. I am incredibly grateful to lasting adventures for this experience and can’t wait for more.
