About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 63katie0 contributionsFantastic food & tour! This was an excellent food tour, and Anne was a wonderful tour guide! The selection of stops and the food choices were great - after starting with an interesting & informative orientation to Findlay Market as well as the history and culture of Cincinnati, we then enjoyed flavorful soup at the charming French Crust Cafe & Bistro, a delicious burger in the stylish Street City Urban Gourmet, a refreshing coffee from Urbana Cafe while enjoying the sights of downtown & Fountain Square, a fantastic taco & guacamole at Mazunte, and we finished with a rich waffle from Taste of Belgium for dessert!Written June 15, 2024
- stephaniesE5499IO0 contributionsFun around Over the RhineWe had a great time taking in the sights and tastes around over the rhine. Our tour guide Heidi was wonderful to follow and chat with. We learned a lot about the area. Would do again.Written June 9, 2024
- gkleinx40 contributionsExceptional Saturday with Cincinnati Food ToursBarb/Cincinnati Food Tours arranged a special tour for a group of friends. We were extremely impressed with all the locations, history, and food. She is thoughtful and organized when planning all her tours. I love that Barb takes and shares photos from the day. It was as if we were spending the day with a friend. We even visited some of the locations the next day. We are from out of town but travel specifically for Cincinnati Food Tours. We will be joining more of the tours in the future. If you have been on one of the tours, go back and tour again or schedule a new adventure. Cincinnati and the surrounding area has so much to offer.Written November 29, 2023
- Cincytravellers0 contributionsBarb did an excellent job connecting us with the owners of unique food establishments in the Findlay market area.Barb did an excellent job coordinating a visit to four Findlay market small business food sources. We went to places we would never have gone without this tour. We met the owners which provided an interesting insight and history into their unique businesses. All the foods we sampled were delicious! Highly recommended. Will do it again.Written October 1, 2023

- Rambler3910 contributionsTaste of Hyde Park SquareGreat food tour in Hyde Park Square in Cincinnati. Five establishments in close proximity to one another, all with fine offerings. Relaxed pace and discussions with owners in each. I’d return to any of them for a meal (or cup of tea).Written July 11, 2022
- DaveGfromMD0 contributionsOutstanding city tour!We did a customized tour of Cincinnati with Barb - what a fantastic way to get the lay of the land, learn the history of the area (all different parts of the city), figure out other places to go see, understand how best to get around and generally just have a very enjoyable couple of hours taking in the sights of the city. Barb is very knowledgeable, adjusted the stops and the pace to us and is without a doubt someone we will recommend to friends who visit Cincinnati in the future (including when many of our friends come for a wedding next year)!Written July 10, 2022

We recently moved back to Cincinnati after being away for 10 years and this was the best reintroduction to the city I could have ever imaged. - Mary N0 contributionsEscape your self imposed lockdown and enjoy lifeMy son and I loved the Signature Over-the-Rhine Tour. We are frequent flyer of Barb Cooper's great commentary and advanced prepared food stops. We enjoy the comradery she has with us tourist and the business owners. I have to admit I am a native of Cincinnati and the tours are generally 20 minutes from my home. This is a perfect get away from Covid lockdown and a chance to take a walk and talk with friendly people.Written February 13, 2022
- PayItForward47190 contributionsPerfectly enjoyable! We enjoyed doing the Self-Guided Tour of Findlay Market. Received a small informational packet with booklet and map to find our own way around. I purchased extra tokens for more food samples, and our day there was a sunny January day during a weekday, so we had access to all vendors and shops with it not being busy. We were very pleasantly surprised at the amount of a food sample each vendor provided with just a single token!Written January 26, 2022

- sherrysU3209EL0 contributionsI would not recommendI was so disappointed by these tours. The impression we got in all the descriptions of the "Food Tours" in Cincinnati is that we would get some history of Cincinnati and try some cuisine to try. My daughter loves to cook and loves learning the culture of food and different ways that food is prepared so for her birthday she wanted to go on a Cincinnati Food Tour. We waited to eat because the tour started at 2pm. Some of the history was told on the streetcar but we were spaced too far to hear any information or the tour guide pointed behind us so we couldn't see anything. We didn't get to taste any food at all. Even the history was more like reading a text book other than learning interesting stories about Cincinnati. We were starving by the end and so disappointed. I felt bad that my daughter's birthday didn't turn out very nice. I would not recommend. Very expensive and definitely not worth it.Written December 2, 2021
- A5896JTanthonym0 contributionsThe Cincinnati Streetcar Food Tour is an awesome experience for new Cincy visitors! My husband and I planned a spur-of-the-moment road trip to several Ohio cities for our 10th wedding anniversary, including Cincinnati. We found the listing for Cincinnati Food Tours through a Google search. Since I contacted Barb regarding availability for our August date, she was quickly responsive and accommodating with all aspects of planning for our Food Tour experience. She provided clear information on the parking situation and where to find our tour guide, Amy. Now there's Amy: she was a dynamo and absolute pleasure! Amy was one of the best tour guides we have ever experienced! She was knowledgeable, dynamic, and kept us engaged from the moment we met up with her at Findlay market to when she left us at the last stop. We were fortunate enough to have her to ourselves, and she was attentive to our touristy interests related to the city. The food stops were excellent: French Crust (the LA FCC salad was delicious!); Taft Ale House (for an alehouse, their sauvignon blanc was perfect, along with the awesome beef slider in a rich jus); great tacos at a beautiful Mexican restaurant Mazunte Centro; and the perfect dessert at Aladdin's. Amy went above and beyond to show us the city and describe vital elements of its rich culture and history and provide us with rich information regarding each restaurant. We are so grateful to have experienced the Cincinnati Streetcar Food Tour (oh, and the streetcar itself was fun!). We look forward to joining again the next time we're in town.Written October 16, 2021

We enjoyed learning about historic Findlay Market and the small businesses there. The tour was fun and informative and loaded with great food! Hearing the stories of each individual business on the tour was a highlight. Our tour host, Linnea, was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Heidi, our tour guide, did an excellent job of sharing the rich history of OTR and her love of the community. There was plenty of time for questions and conversation. The tour lasted 3 hours and the sit-down tastes at the restaurants were outstanding. Bravo Cincinnati Food Tours!

Barb was engaging, knowledgeable, and made an effort to learn something about everyone! The tour stops were varied and all delicious. Barb told us that her goal is to connect people with the people who make the food and that was definitely successful! We also learned a lot of great history about the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed this Walnut Hills food tour. Barb was very knowledgeable about the area and was very interesting to talk to. The food and beer was very tasty. We were introduced to the staff and or manager to every restaurant that we went to. They did a great job of talking about the history of the restaurant. We definitely got enough food to eat. It was a great variety. This unique experience gave us a new appreciation for the beautiful city of Cincinnati. Thumbs up 👍🏼 to this food tour. I am an HR Manager at P&G and brought a group of prospective P&Gers on the Findlay Market Tour. The tour was 90 minutes and included 5 stops with samples - the perfect length to taste and see a Cincinnati gem! Barb was easy to work with and customized the tour for our group of 6. This tour helped "sell" Cincinnati to 4 college students who have never been to our city. It was a great way to introduce some Cincinnati charm with snacks along the way.

We were not sure what to expect, but pleasantly pleased. Not all places open yet but signs showing for places coming. Lots of fresh meats, cheeses, seafood, pastries, breads... quick eat restaurants, authentic specialty stores. We had a great time just walking around.

Hi, how much walking is involved? Are there some gluten free food options on the tour?
Written February 5, 2019
You walk what is equivalent to a few city blocks. All tasting is on your feet. You might have 2-3 gluten free samples, but samples vary.
