Do not visit Honolulu without visiting Pearl Harbor. This historical site is not to be missed. There is so much history and relevance to visiting Pearl Harbor, you will not be disappointed. I knew when planning our visit that I wanted a tour, something to really give me an inclusive experience. Unfortunately, the Pearl Harbor site itself does not allow guided tours. Not sure why, but that is what lead me to Pearl Harbor Tours. With quick Google Search, I was able to navigate to their website and learn of all the tours they offered. We settled on the USS Arizona Memorial and Battleship Missouri Tour. The description of this tour perfectly describes the day.
Our tour guide texted me the evening before our tour with their name, contact information, pick up time and location as well as some useful information to note. (TIP: purchase a small clear bag for this tour as you are not allowed to bring a purse or backpack into the tour areas). Our tour guide was Cousin Shaq, and he was fantastic! He was prompt for all picks up, charismatic, and provided plenty of "tour" information without actually being able to guide us along on our tour.
At the USS Arizona Memorial, we were able to move through the exhibits at our own pace which was nice. And our tour provided a ticket for the boat to the Arizona itself. An excellent site, words cannot describe this historical memorial. The USS Missouri was my favorite because it was more interactive. First off, the battleship is huge! The battleship has been repurposed as a museum, but in a way that requires you to walk throughout the ship. It takes about 2 hours to get through the whole ship. There are also food trucks and snack bars located at this site for a lunch break or snack. (TIP: Try the Dole Whip if you haven't already!) After visiting the main historical sites, on the drive back to Waikiki, our tour guide drove us through the National Cemetery as well as by the Iolani Palace. We were able to stop at the King Kamehameha Statue for pictures as well as play around under a 160 year old Banyan Tree. Very neat!
Overall, I would highly recommend booking a tour with Pearl Harbor Tours, they truly take care of you! Thank you Cousin Shaq for an incredible day of touring.

YES - you should visit this amazing site!! Our tour guide was great with picking us up and organizing our tickets and even took the time to drive by historical landmarks on the way back to our hotel.
Just note that this is NOT a guided tour of the actual site. This tour package is essentially paying for a bus driver and tickets. Our guide dropped us off and told us a meeting time of when to return to the bus.
My only complaint is probably that we could have spent more time - you think 5 hours is a lot of time and it's really not because the place is MASSIVE. We had to skip over some museum stuff to make it to the bus ontime so if you like to read anything, this isn't enough time. For most people, this is plenty of time to do the Arizona and Missouri but we also stopped at the USS Bowfin and we were really packed for time
My husband and I felt at the end that it would have made more sense for us to just take ourselves to the memorial. Many hotels have suggestions for transportation to the memorial and then you can spend as much time as you want. We wish we would have done that.

Our tour guide, Sam (Samson) really made the tour for us. How fortunate that you have a high school history teacher as part of your team! And how fortunate were we to have him as our guide! Sam added so much by way of deeper historical significance and relevance surrounding Pearl Harbor and Hawaiian historical events. He also took time to have one on one conversations with each of the tour participants… and even paid some extra special attention to our two young teen boys.

First, they really did a good job in communication including changing from small private group to 25 people 24 hrs before, please make sure you check your text or TripAdvisors message. The group was nice people and very clear on COVID standard (wearing mask, enough distance).
Devin is our tour guide, and he is awesome! Very kind, informative, and clear in communication with the whole group.
This is our second day in Oahu, and just like our first day... so far this trip is really fun!

This was our first visit to Oahu and wanted to be sure we were able to see Pearl Harbor. Although we could try to get our own tickets, due to social distancing and reduced entry we wanted to be sure we had tickets and less stress on our vacation. We also did not want to drive ourselves. We booked by phone and received detailed instructions on what to expect. We were picked up at the hotel and one other family was on the shuttle. Our non-essential belongings were safe and monitored while we were at the park. Our trip included the audio tour of the submarine museum and Bowfin and tickets for the boat to the ISS Arizona. Our trip was on Monday when the USS Missouri was closed but we knew that at booking. We had plenty of time to walk the grounds through both museums, and Bowfin. On the way back to town we drove through the Punchbowl, by the queen’s palace, Capitol and other landmarks. Ozzie our driver was knowledgeable and attentive. The bus was equipped with a sound system so we could understand all the scenery as our driver spoke. We would definitely book with this group again.
We had booked an island tour through our hotel earlier in our trip and it was not enjoyable.

Less than expected!! Pearl Harbor was amazing!! Wishing we could say that for the tour operators as their confusion, missed info, and lack of basic explanation accounts for this poor review. It starts off by you booking a tour that states they will pic you up at the airport…….longest 6-7 hours spent on a trip ever!! Much better option we now know is a private or smaller group. Your given 2 1/2 hours at USS Arizona and another 1 1/2 hours at USS Missouri. No narration. No time to really see and hear the info about either site. Most of your time (over 3 hours) is spent riding on the bus to pick people up. Oh well !!

Waited in the standby line for three and a half hours to see the USS Arizona - although I understand Covid rules and reservations it turns out that we were told by most people in line they had gotten their tickets that day from a tour they purchased from a tour company that had them all booked … this doesn’t seem like it’s turned out the way it was intended.
The staff was very friendly although nothing was very informative. All the guide recordings were sold out so we had to do our own research and none of the staff gave any history for you. Sorta feel like we missed lots of the history.

Outstanding tour and one of the best tour guides I’ve ever met. Our tour guide Eli, was fun, knowledgeable, respectful, and made everyone in the van feel like family (Ohana). This company is definitely one I’d highly recommend as they use small vans for a more personal touch plus they can access areas that large busses can’t get into.
If you visit Oahu, this tour would win hands down as one of my favorites.

Our driver Malcolm was very good and very informational. He shared things about Honolulu and Hawaii, we probably wouldn’t have otherwise learned.
The tour itself, was a little disappointing because of the shortness of time at both locations. Could’ve used 30 minutes/45 minutes more at each place. A suggestion would be to advise people when they book, not to bring bags unless they are clear, so you don’t have to spend 30 minutes at the visitor center checking in bags, i’m spending more time at the memorials.

Winnie was cheerful, informative, and glad to be with us on our adventure. We hadn’t made reservations to see the Arizona Memorial and this was the only way to make sure my bucket list for Ford Island was complete. So glad we went with your company. It was a great way to see the sites of Pearl Harbor which has long been a part of my memory. The Missouri is a beautiful ship, seeing the Swamp Ghost, and who does the brass polishing on the Bowfin is to be commended. I have already recommended you to others planning a trip to Oahu.

Do we need proof of COVID vaccination at the time of our tour which is scheduled for June 2022.

No, you do not need proof of vaccination, and the mask requirement has been lifted as well. The only restrictions have to do with bags… absolutely no bags allowed.

Hi,
Is the boat ticket to USS Arizona Memorial included here given that it has to be pre-reserved in time now?
Charles T

with this tour the boat ticket and time is all set - it worked very well. you dont have to wait in that crazy line. You just go to the front when it is your time.
Are the COVIC-19 restrictions any different this year?

Take a tour, don't show up. The walk-in lines were insane, those poor people spent more time in line than it took us to do most of our ticketed tour. Make sure to get a tour with the boat to the memorial and the ship! COVID restrictions had been removed for everything except ALL ride share options, bus tours, UBER, Lift etc.
We have 7 in our group of 9 that are not vaccinated, what are the limitations as far as the tour

That may be a problem but check with the venue.
I would like to request an early tour rather than later in the day...is that possible?
Also, we will be coming from the Courtyard Marriott North Shore in a rental car. Where do we either meet you, park, get picked up or whatever???
Appreciate your assistance and really looking forward to this wonderful tour!!
