          Stunning views
We really enjoyed our hiking and driving experience. The views were stunning, Waikīkī pick up was so convenient isn’t, and our driver was fun and told us great stories and history.

Diamond Head bucket list item crossed off.
This was a bucket list item for me and was excited to take this hike. Wear good tennis shoes and bring water cause those stairs are serious. Mathew was our handsome driver and was fun and helpful. The only problem I had was that I used the Google Map to give me directions to the hotel and they were for the wrong Hilton Hotel. Make sure your going to the Hilton closest to the Duke’s statue.

Always a pleasure to have the opportunity to swim with fish although one female employee was unhelpful, very very angry and rude!

Early morning entrance and shuttle to Diamond Head made easy
This was the perfect way to have the Diamond Head early morning entrance and shuttle coordinated if you don’t want to do it yourself. My meeting spot was at the sister hotel to mine directly across the street. D our driver had interesting information on the area, tips for the hike and walked us through the entrance.

Great trip for a reasonable price! The price pays for the ride and entrance fee. Our driver Matthew was great! He was on time, friendly and funny. He also gave history about the island along the way.

          Fun tour and fantastic guide!
Great Tour! Our guide was fun, entertaining, and knowledgeable of the island. Matt Kenny, our guide, certainly added to our experience and made the experience so much more enjoyable! Highly recommend this tour! Also, would give Matt Kenny 10 stars - not just 5!

Difficult hike at my age but well worth it with plenty of time to complete
The driver Mathew was interesting and enjoyable on the ride to the crater. He provided water if needed which was nice have cold water once completed. The view from on top was very beautiful and worth the hike. It was a nice hike but a little difficult. The military history was nice but the national parks don’t go into the original name given to the area by the indigenous people and should have more than the mistaken concept that there was diamonds in them there hills.

Picked up early in Waikiki and saw beautiful sunrise then to the Bay. Driver was great!
Great driver and experience. They have it well planned! I would have struggled without the expert advice and guidance as this is a highly attended park.

Beautiful sunset catamaran cruise of the Waikiki bay
My wife and I had a wonderful time on the sunset cruise. Well worth the upgrade and the bar guys were very polite and friendly!!! The captain was a delight and she even poured me a drink on the way out when the tour was over.

Make sure to book your reservations in advance online
For entrance to the park and to hike it you need to have booked reservations in advance which could be made online. We made reservations about 2 weeks in advance and there was still some availability. We hiked the last time slot of 4-6pm. The sun was setting so the hike was as hot as it would have been during the middle of the day. The “hike” up was mostly on a paved path. Some people did it in sandals which I can see doable but we did it in sneakers. Towards the top of the hike you have the option to turn left and walk up a gradual but easier hike or turn right and walk up a couple flights of steep stairs. We chose to walk up the stairs and down the gradual path and believe this was the best experience. Up the stairs you enter into the bunker and can crawl up and out of it and are welcomed by the beautiful view diamond head has to offer. We did this towards the end of our stay in Oahu which I liked as I was able to identify landmarks like Koko Head and the Punchbowl from a distance. I would say this is an easy/moderate hike. We completed the hike in a total of an hour. Parking was easy and they had some facts about the crater and the creation of it which I enjoyed reading.

Make sure to book your reservations in advance
Try and make your reservations for this in advance. Pre reservations are available 48 hours prior to your desired visit day and you can choose from a variety of times to enter the park. If you are unlucky and are not able to get a reservation your are not out of opportunities to come. You can come as a stand by and hope they have availability for you but its difficult to tell and they suggest you arrive at 6am which is super early. Just be ready to make that reservation when they open at 7am HST. Parking here is $3 CASH only if parking fills up, which they say usually happens by 10 am you can park on the street and walk the half mile down to the entrance or wait for parking. We booked our timeslot for entrance early (8:30 am) so we had no issues parking. Before entry you’re brought into orientation which talked about the history and preservation of the bay. Be sure to make sure your sunscreen is reef safe prior to your arrival. It would be nice if they had a list of what popular brands of sunscreen are and aren’t reef safe, I think its something quick and easy to do instead of having guests guess and assume their sunscreen is appropriate or not. We brought our own snorkel gear but they had gear and lockers to rent. Restrooms and outdoor showers are available and a small café at the visitor center. Lifeguards are there too. They have a shuttle to bring you up/down the hill to the bay or you can walk which we did. We saw plenty of fish and love that they had a board of all the fish that live in the reef so we can compare and see what we saw. Best snorkeling experience I have done so far.

          Fabulous beach and views
This is a gorgeous place to view, colorful, fish, underwater, and I highly recommend going early in the morning before it is very crowded. The sand literally sparkles, it is like being in a dreamworld for a couple of hours. It is one of my favorite things that we did in Honolulu.

I've got a call 2 hours before the trip that they are moving the meeting time to 30' earlier. I wasn't home at the time and called right when I got back. The person I spoke to was mean and kept repeating that it's 'my problem I can't make it on time. No matter what I said (I asked for 20 more minutes, offered to move the trip to a different day, etc) all I heard was "it's your problem you can't make it" (quote). Not even one apology.

I used GoCity for it, so there was no issue with a refund. I'm sure they would not return me money for this trip though, they repeated it's my fault I haven't answered the phone 2 HOURS before the start of the trip.

Aloha, and we’re really sorry about your bad experience, the person that spoke with you is no longer with us. We reached out with all the customers on that day, to change it to 20 minutes earlier because the heavy rain was approaching and we didn’t want to cancel the tour. We didn’t charge your go cards for that Tour. If you’re still on the island you can call us and we can offer a free tour there for you. Happy New Year!

We didn't get any one picked us up nor did we receive any email or text message or phone calls to remind us that we need to enter the right city pass number.

On top of that, the phone lady was super passive aggressive, calling us "Not Smart" enough. She kept gaslighting us. We didn't receive any emails but she said they did. We didn't receive any phone calls but she said they did.

This is the worst customer experience I have ever received. We just want an apology but the phone lady was so self righteous

Aloha and sorry for your bad experience with our customer service. But she was trying to explain that we sent the email right after cancelling the reservation. We sent the email right after your booking was made and explaining why it was cancelled , one week before. When you booked the tour online it says clearly that you need enter the 12 digits. If you had called us by 8:00 am, or send email or leave a message, we could be able to reschedule or call when our office was open we still had a chance to reschedule you for the 9:00 am tour. Once again we apologize for the inconvenience. You did request the screenshot for our email and we resent to you on your email. We don’t want to send here to don’t expose your email .

I hate to give bad review , but this trail deserves it. In my opinion it was to dangerous for elderly or someone with mobility issues . The trail is narrow and ankle deep in mud and very steep, The tour guide gave us a "pep talk" about the trail and gave out poles, for stability and welcomed bug spray. The problem was , there was just too many people on the narrow slippery trail going up and coming down . The waterfall was worth the trip, but I wonder what the result would be if there was an emergency , as there isn't any communication to get helpfrom below .
I know there is ongoing maintenance and the trail is only open on weekends . If there was a rope to hold onto going up it might help, I personally didn't get to look around at the fantastic rain forest and steams, as you have to concentrate on the uneven footing
.Down at the bottom there is some huge trees worth taking a picture beside and under growth leaves that would make great umbrella's , very interesting !!!!

Aloha and thanks for your feedback. But unfortunately we are just the tour company and not the actual hike. Personally, we don’t recommend this hike for elderly customers and people with mobility issues ( was stated on our website) and about the conditions it is under our control but we are truly sorry. We do offer a free walking stick that normally helps others have a better grip and complete the hike. The hike on the weekends are very crowded, but we can never anticipate any of that. You are more than welcome to try the trail again with us on a sunnier day! Mahalo.

Very pretty! I don't recognize any of the places movies were shot but I also have a bad memory. I enjoyed the jungle views a lot but got bug bites - try to wear pants if possible. The bus driver was pretty much on time and had water and bug spray for us to use, as well as walking sticks (not needed but could have been helpful for many people).

Tour guide was really nice. Pick up and drop off was a breeze. Vans were air conditioned and the tour provided much needed walking sticks, water and bug spray. Hike was not paved so the walking sticks really came in handy. The tour allotted for the perfect amount of time to get up and back and grab a refreshing drink at the food truck. The hike itself is free but this tour was convenient to get up and back
Without having to worry about parking.

It's no secret that there is a lot of options when it comes to tours on this Island, but one thing is, Diogo as a tour guide. This guy is awesome! He was prompt, thorough, and real easy to listen to because of his awesome laid-back Hawaiian nature( 🤙). He really offers a very friendly and informative tour, all while throwing in the jokes to make everyone have a good time. He also was great at handling all the questions thrown at him.

If you were to visit Honolulu/Waikiki, I would highly suggest booking a tour with Kaimana Tours and request DIOGO, you won't be disappointed.

Took this tour on my honeymoon. The hike itself is the perfect challenge for the casual hiker, with a really beautiful payoff at the end! Our tour driver Diogo was super prepared, knowledgeable, and dynamic. He had great customer service as well. Even took a photo with him (attached). Loved the hike and would do it again.

The views were amazing and the hike was challenging for us. Parts were a moderate hike and other parts were easier. You definitely need to make use of the walking poles as they really helped. Wear hiking or running shoes as the trail is rocky and slippery in sections due to the rain. Crocs and sandals are a bad idea but there were many people who wore them. All in all, it was a great experience.

Our tour guide, while nice, was rather quiet and his driving was very aggressive at times. He ran a few amber lights and was busy texting on his phone while stopped and a few time while the coach was in motion. His heart wasn’t really in it and it showed.
We discussed a tip for our guide, and decided not to because he did not seem engaged and the experience did not meet our expectations. The real kicker was when our guide reached out to us and as about a tip we chatted about.

It is a great destination if you like hiking and nature. Otherwise I don't recommend to go. The driver, D, was great giving information. It is a drop off and pickup tour only, so this means the driver will not go hiking with you. Also it is consider expensive for just transportation and some guidance. If you have traveling companions, it is better off taking Uber/Lyft there instead. It is free entry except vehicle parking fee. Google "Mānoa Falls Trail".

I would not recommend the hike at all- slippery rocky trail, smallest stream of a waterfall, and there is no apparently movie scene sites while hiking. Our driver- D was 10min late to pick up while we were in the heat after the hike, did not offer us water even though it was included, and did not remember which hotel he picked us up at all. Just go to Kuala ranch for Jurassic park.
