About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Patty F0 contributionsBeautiful waterfallIt was a beautiful waterfall after a little hike. It was muddy and slippery, but many people did the hike with small children. Hikers must be able to climb over trees in the pathway, which the waterfall spills into. There is a small pool and plenty of space to take pictures.Written September 22, 2024
- rickmU8039QG0 contributionsGood excursion.Captain Crash was a great host and his deckhands were not only knowledgeable but beautiful! The real hot was the ships' dog "Sushi". Captain Crash got us to our sight with the added bonus of seeing dolphins and sea turtles along the way. Once were at the sight, there were several other boats so the area was crowded but we still enjoyed our time in the water.Written September 13, 2024
- UCLABruin84-870 contributionsRiding through the RainforestThis is an easy way to see part of the island from a different perspective. We got picked up on time at our hotel by our guide, Daniel. It was a quick trip to the starting point. Daniel was cheerful, friendly, informative, and extremely professional. We ended up having a private ride for the three of us. My niece had not been on a bike in a long time and had never been a strong rider. When we did the trial run at a park, she couldn’t get the hang of riding a bike again. Daniel was great with her. He held the bike like you would teach a young kid how to ride and tried to get her comfortable on the bike. After a couple tries, they decided my niece would follow us in the van with Daniel, and my sister and I would ride in front of them. Daniel was great in finding a way to make the trip a success for everyone. The e-bike gives you the boost to make this ride enjoyable for those who are not typically uphill bikers. The views from the look out points and the greenery were a sight to behold. You would think that with the name of the trip including the word rainforest, I would think to bring a towel in case it rained. But I did not think that and ended up pretty wet. Daniel did offer us rain ponchos before we started, but we figured we would get too sweaty. Instead we had a rain shower with soft Hawaii water. Daniel told us that it was that rainy about 40% of the time. But only one of our bikes had a mud guard on the rear wheel. My sister ended up with a mud stripe up the back of her clothes. If the tour company cared about its customers, I think that all of their bikes would be outfitted with mudguards. With a 40% chance of rain, bikes without mud guards happens more than it should. Having said that, it was still a great ride and I would do it again.Written August 29, 2024
- 286hanniev0 contributionsWaterfall hikeThe hike itself was beautiful, the guide (he did not tell us his name) was not very good. He seemed very distracted. On the way down I fell and he stood at a distance watching my grandson of 16, helping me up. He did not lift a finger. He could ask you something and when you answered, he just lost interest and walked away. Very disappointing. We were supposed to get snacks, but we did not see any. For the money we paid for it, I expected more.Written July 6, 2024
- Daydream5961470 contributionsChallenging Yet Worth ItVery beautiful scenery. However, the climb up was tough, so unless you have biked or are in decent shape it may too difficult. Our guide was full of knowledge and helpful. The bikes were in excellent shape and VERY helpful. Without the electric assist we would not have been able to the top.Written June 4, 2024
- karwalkers0 contributionsRainforest is fascinating! We just had the best time! Our tour guide Terii was knowledgeable about the plants, animals, geography/geology, and Hawaiian history. We are hikers, not bikers, and we came prepared with proper hiking shoes and our trekking poles. What we couldn’t have predicted was the sudden rain (but hey, it’s a rainforest!), but Terii had ponchos! It was advertised as pickup at 9, 4 hours, and we had booked Iolani Palace for 2:45, so Terii made sure we were back by 1. Too bad, though, because he was prepared with snacks and was willing to go farther. The terrain was moderate and we (in our 70s) had no problems. Gorgeous views. Definitely recommend it!Written April 12, 2024
- 929cecek0 contributionsGreat tour and amazing Tour guide (Terry)!!We were booked for the West O'ahu Combo - Palehua Hike, Sail and Snorkel but due to the windy weather our snorkel and sail got cancelled. The company offered to reschedule but unfortunately it was our last night there so we were issued our refund quickly. We ended up just doing the 1.5 mile hike called Palehua Ridge with Terry and it was still great! We were the only ones on the tour so Terry answered all of our questions and gave us a TON of wonderful history and background about Hawaii and the culture. We ended up having a great tour despite the bad weather disrupting the snorkel/sailing! Thanks so much Terry! Highly recommend any tour with Terry!Written February 12, 2024
- martincG3437KE0 contributionsWalk to a Scenic WaterfallThe guide was knowledgeable and knew a lot about the history and geology of the region. The hike is a bit steep in places and also slippery but the view at the end is worth it. Wear sturdy footwear.Written February 5, 2024
- dave b0 contributionsExpensive but worth the experienceAlways wanted to go to Hawaii to see the fantastic islands We flew to Honolulu an it was just like an American city 😩our hotel near the beach was expensive, there is a sting when you check out .you have to pay a resort fee $50 An on top thy charge $50 for parking a night . I would advise not to stay in Honolulu stag outside use your hire car We then flew to Kono the big island more laid back an the people are nicer also the food was better, the scenery is fantastic Recommend a helicopter ride an whale watching also the best place to see the universeWritten January 29, 2024
- R98YNconniec0 contributionsThe crew knows where the turtles are.The weather was amazing. The Turtle Canyon area was quite crowded with a lot of other boats and swimmers. Despite that, a young turtle swam right over to me- made my day! Our crew was very friendly and accommodating. I chatted with some of the crew and other guests. Awesome experience sailing the coastline.Written January 26, 2024
- tg5020 contributionsEBike Rainforest TourOn our last full day in Hawaii, we wanted to do something active, but not on the water. We discovered Bike Hawaii Tours and booked the morning eBike Tour Honolulu Rainforest. So happy with our choice! We met our guide, Mike, at the base of Archie Baker Park, although hotel pickup was available. Mike set a relaxed pace, and, with the eBikes, we didn't have to work strenuously to make it up the mountains. (But, of course, you could choose less electric assistance if you want to intensify your workout.) The path through the rainforest was fully paved and easy to navigate. We stopped at some truly spectacular vistas with views of the city as well as the rainforest. Mike was informative and personable. He had a lot of local knowledge to share. My husband and I, along with our two teenagers, thoroughly enjoyed our morning bike ride through the lush landscape of a tropical rainforest so close to Waikiki.Written January 10, 2024
- J S0 contributionsGreat experience and easy for novice riders!Amazing e bike ride up and down the mountain with Mike! Can’t recommend it enough. We loved every minute of it. It was super easy with the electric bikes and very easy to change the intensity of how much the electric motor contributes. As someone with not the best fitness, it was a breeze up the hill. Amazing views and learning of the wildlife up the mountain. 100% a must!!Written October 10, 2023
- jaykX1526XJ0 contributionsSnorkels and turtles and so much more! From beginning to end Crash, The Captain and his knowledgeable crew led us on a colorful cruise off the coast of beautiful Honolulu. From onboard instructions and throughout the trip Crash was organized, friendly and humorous! As promised we had feeding frenzies with tons of local fish and multiple cries of TURTLE brought us close to other local inhabitants. The views were terrific ... even rescued a small floatie from a surely distraught beach roamer! And not to forget Sushi the turtle, dolphin, whale spotting dog! Highly recommended trip!Written September 15, 2023
- 980tracir0 contributionsJust book this tourI would highly recommend this tour. Our guide Daniel was excellent. Personable and well informed about history of the islands, he provided a great experience. Early for the pick up and responsive to any question, he made the experience memorable. Gave us some much information about the area in the hike and took so many great pictures of us. We could halve done the tour by ourselves but Daniel enhanced the experience by ten fold.Written August 24, 2023
- isaacmO8494XZ0 contributionsFun Bike and Waterfall Tour!Daniel was awesome! Super knowledgable and fun. The bike ride was super scenic and easy and the waterfall was beautiful. Even the rides to and from the locations were great. Highly recommend.Written July 6, 2023

This is a fantastic tour that offers so many add ons. We only participated in the bike and hike portions, however you can go on to do sailing and snorkelling as well, and all in one day! Our guide Terii was very passionate about his work and his focus was clearly on his guests having a great time in Oahu. The scenery was beautiful, the bike ride was downhill, and the view from the top spanned half of Oahu. Just breath-taking! I wish I’d done the sailing and snorkelling, I could’ve toured all week with the Bike Hawaii crew.

This was the highlight of our family vacation. I instantly liked our guides, Teri & Rodolph. They prioritized safety (so mommy was completely at ease) without taking away any of the fun. And had the best stories to boot! The ride through the rainforest was gorgeous. The water was perfect. Just a great day all around.

Awesome day! Well paced and the guides were fabulous!!! Lunch was delicious and the view from our lunch spot was spectacular! Great value for your money and see and do a lot in one day:). Always bring your rain jacket...it rained off and on but that is the way it goes on this island it seems...just rolled with it!! Would definitely recommend!!!

This excursion was the highlight of our trip. The hike into the rainforest was beautiful and our guide was very knowledgeable of the flora and fauna. (Wear old shoes-- a bit muddy-- but a great hike.) The downhill bike ride is a bit challenging (switchbacks) and lots of fun. The ride through a state forest has gorgeous views. Finally, turtle bay had crystal clear waters, and we saw lots of fish and a sea turtle. Our guide dove down and was able to bring up a sea anemone to show to all. (The seas were a bit choppy, so if you are prone to sea sickness you may want to take dramamine.)
A full day of activities-- tons of fun!

100% recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see Oahu in a different way. You get to see stunning sights and areas you would not normally get to visit. The sail/snorkel hosted by Captain Krash and his team (not forgetting sushi the dog) was brilliant and so was Roldolph with his knowledge and insight of the marine marine life. Total bonus was swimming and close to 4 wild turtles and an array of fish. If you are outgoing and want to experience Hawaii awSy from the journal tourist hotspots you must book this tour!!

A++ This excursion was excellent! Terri and Rodolph did an amazing job! The knowledge and the tour of the island would have been great to have the first few days, plus they take you to Turtle Canyon saving you from another excursion and more time out of your vacation. We ended up doing Turtle Canyon before this so we went to the same spot. Wasting time and money with the other company they were not nearly as good!

Rodolph and crew were fabulous hosts and made sure everyone was having a great time. Everything was at a leisurely pace, little ones in our group had no problems keeping up. Rodolph made sure everyone had great photos at each stop, and shared his knowledge of the area. I would recommended for most everyone.

We did the full day hike, bike, snorkel tour with our family of 6. We were in Hawaii for our son’s Make A Wish, and he raced mountain bikes before his brain cancer diagnosis. His wish was to bike the mountains of Hawaii, and Bike Hawaii helped make that happen! Everyone involved was absolutely amazing! HIGHLY recommended!!!

The 3 activities happen in different places so quite some time is driving from one place to another. This makes the activities themselves quite short.
The guide (Daniel) was very nice and shared a lot of info about the island during the rides.
IMPORTANT: this tour includes a downhill bike ride. Respect other participants and don't book this tour if you are learning how to ride a bike. Our ride was painfully slow because there was a family like this

We will arrive on the Oceania Insignia on June 6. How would we get to your starting point if we choose to join you?
