This tour company and its staff are amazing! I wanted to experience certain areas of Arizona but as a senior, travelling solo, it was difficult finding existing tours that covered the areas I wanted to go without going over areas that I had already been, and I didn't want to self drive. I needed someone to customise my trip. My first contact at All Star was with Ivy, almost 18mths prior to my intended travel date. Ivy was more than helpful, she was polite, friendly, knowledgeable, professional and very patient. She responded promptly to my every email (and there were lots of them) and anything I asked for, she could organise without a problem! Nothing detered her from helping me put my bucket list holiday together! It was expensive given the foreign exchange rate and the fact that I was travelling solo however, what I got far outweighed the cost. Over 4 days I had my own 'private' car with my own 'private' driver, all transfers, pick-ups drop offs, two 'private' picnic lunches inclusive of wine (if I so desired), two restaurant meals, all snacks, and bottled water. Ivy introduced me to my driver Dave about a month before I arrived into the US. Dave was the perfect tour guide. A local, he was most knowledgeable, and an absolute gentleman, so easy going and amiable. He picked me up from Phoenix Airport in a wonderfully, clean and comfortable vehicle and we stopped for dinner at El Encanto Dos, a popular Mexican restaurant on the way to Flagstaff. He helped me with my luggage at every stop and ensured everything was in order at my hotels before he left me. The main purpose of my trip was to visit Monument Valley, I'd organised to stay at The View Hotel for 2nts under my own steam and Dave got me there and back safely! We stopped in all the places I wanted to stop along the way including Forrest Gump Hill but Dave also made time to stop at other places of interest that I hadn’t thought of. At Cameron Trading Post, Dave set up the perfect picnic lunch that had been prepacked by Ivy according to my food preferences that we had discussed weeks earlier via email. Dave returned to pick me up two days later and we did some similar stops and another picnic lunch on the way back to Flagstaff. Over the next day or two, Dave escorted me to Montezuma Castle, Sunset Crater, Sedona and Airport Lookout, lunch at Dellepiane restaurant in Sedona, Tlaquepaque Village and the Chapel of the Holy Cross. I was also really pleased to have loads of time for gift shopping and plenty of photo stops, and then an unexpected bonus stop for cheese and wine before I had to say goodbye. Before leaving Flagstaff, I then had the pleasure of meeting Ivy which was an absolute delight after all the time we had spent communicating via email. Thank you Ivy. I simply cannot give All Star Grand Canyon Tours enough credit for the most awesome experience I have ever had, I felt really special and I am so glad I found you! Ivy and Dave, you both deserve 10 stars!!

Tremendous day with All Star in the Grand Canyon. Dave was our guide and could not have provided us with a better day. Its clear that Dave is passionate about the Canyon and showing groups around. We learned a great deal. I would highly recommend this guide, tour outfit, tour. First rate.

We had a wonderful day with John! He picked us up at the Grand Canyon Under Canvas property and he was so nice and helpful as we hiked the Hermit Trail. We learned a lot about the Grand Canyon and John was so attentive to our needs and skill level. The lunch was yummy and it was lovely eating overlooking the Grand Canyon. My only constructive feedback is that I didn’t appreciate that we paid a 10% booking fee booking thru under canvas directly. I would book directly with All Star Tours next time. Thanks for a magical experience!

Treat yourself and your family and friends to a tour with All Star. This was my 6th tour with the company, each time we go I wonder how All Star can top their last tour but they always do. Jeff our guide for the last 3 or 4 tours is the best! He makes each person in your party feel connected to, he shares so much knowledge and customizes the day to fit the people in your party. We have taken friends, elderly relatives, and couples. The sunset in the park with wine and charcuterie was the cherry on top.

It is a great way to see the Grand Canyon if you are not planning to hike down to the bottom. We saw amazing viewpoints, wildlife and trekked a portion of the rim walk. Very good and abundant lunch. Our guide, Dave, was nice, very good with kids and very knowledgeable about the Canyon and the area.

Beautiful hike, customized for our family. Our guide was very experienced & knowledgeable about the trails, hiking, ecology, & wildlife. Lunch was very good. My kids & I really had a wonderful experience.

David Spies was an EXCELLENT guide! This was our first Grand Canyon hike and we chose to do the Bright Angel Trail. David is a highly experienced hiker himself and knows how to ensure a wonderful experience! He can judge ability of hikers and adjust accordingly. He even prepares a delicious lunch and escorts you off the beaten path to have a private little break. We will be back to hike the GC again — but definitely want to do it with David!

This was one of the best guided trips we have ever taken. We booked a private 10:45-sundown tour of the Grand Canyon and we were promised a tailored, luxury experience and the tour lived up to the promise and then some. Our guide David met us early at Under Canvas in a comfortable van that was stocked with a fantastic variety of cold drinks, fresh fruit, and snacks that started the trip off right. It was exceptionally hot the day we scheduled our tour and we were concerned that we would have a difficult time with the heat. Our tour included our nine year old son and we were also worried he would be bored. David really made the trip enjoyable despite the heat. We were able to really get a sense of the majesty of the Grand Canyon through its wondrous beauty, its history, the danger it can present to the unprepared, as well as his relationship to the park. Highlights are many but included: * David made sure our first view of the park was breathtaking * We avoided the crowds (big win!) * Lunch was on a tablecloth, was delicious and included all the accoutrement * Sunset wine toast with charcuterie and cheese * Mindfulness moment to pause and reflect on the grandeur of the Grand Canyon The biggest highlight though was that our nine year thought David was the coolest guy which meant he was totally into the experience. We are looking forward to having All Star handle our next tour.

Outstanding. Very informative and John was a tremendous hiking guide. We received a solid historical overview on the way to the canyon and then a first rate experience along and below the rim at Bright Angel. Good time!

We experienced a private tour to the Grand Tour and the whole thing was amazing! We were picked up at our hotel which was a bonus and the van was very comfortable, roomy and had usb ports so we could charge our phones. We had snacks and drinks readily available. Our guide was Patrick Boyd and I can’t say enough good things about him. He was friendly and very knowledgeable. He drove us to different spots to view the canyon and had a great telescope so we could see things all over the canyon. When it came time for lunch he set up a picnic table with a table cloth, laid out some delicious food and drinks. We enjoyed that the tour was just our family. Patrick took great care of us and we would happily do it again and highly highly recommend Patrick.

Jeff was our guide for a great day of hiking! He was full of information about the canyon and surrounding area. Jeff was patient when we needed extra support. After our hike, we had a wonderful lunch canyon side! I would recommend All Star. 😀

We had a fantastic time. Jon was our guide and was very knowledgeable about the area. He did a great job with our group. For our short hike down the canyon, we had varying levels of fitness, and Jon made sure all of us were well taken care of. I highly recommend this option for anyone visiting the Grand Canyon with limited time and wanting to make the most of their experience. I can't wait to do it again!

We had an incredible experience with Ben and the All-Star Grand Canyon Team! Despite early morning snow, Ben did everything possible to preserve our all-day hike reservation. During the actual hike, Ben explained how the canyon was formed, talked about its history, and pointed out the many details you'd otherwise miss. He supplied all the necessary hiking gear and provided a great lunch. Every detail exceeded expectations! Our family highly recommends Ben and his team!
