What to expect
  • After a brief 30 minute training session, you begin on the GREEN course where you get comfortable with the equipment and the rhythm of moving through each element. SILVER is next and the cable ladders and tent elements will really start to test you! After defeating the Silver course you will move on to the BLUE course. Suddenly childhood memories of swinging on ropes and climbing trees comes back to you. Your agility and sense of freedom return and away you go! Up further into the trees you head on the RED course. Climbing higher into the trees, try not to let your emotions get the best of you. Balance comes into play when crossing wobbly bridges and swinging surprises. You’re feeling confident now, you have defeated the first three courses and can’t help laughing out loud as you zip through the forest or watch your friend try to walk gracefully across a moving obstacle. Now it’s time for the ultimate in focus and fitness: the BLACK course. Before you set off, your senses take in the natural beauty and harmony of your surroundings. You climb up even further into the tree canopy discovering that your movements are even more fluid than before. As your journey ends at Flagstaff Extreme you leave with a smile, a sense of achievement and memories that live on. The courses are meant to be used progressively and the cost of admission covers one loop or rotation through the Adult courses. At any exit point along the courses, you can descend. Walking paths will take you back to the guest services and welcome center. Flagstaff Extreme (FLG X) provides a safe, fun, physical and unique outdoor experience in the trees. FLG X challenges guests to push their limits and overcome their fears in a supportive environment. Through shared experience FLG X creates an opportunity to build relationships with friends and family and to leave feeling a sense of accomplishment. Safety – Our primary concern is that of safety. We endeavor to create a safe environment by giving guests the knowledge and equipment needed to succeed. Challenge – Families, friends and co-workers are challenged by overcoming fear and experiencing new adventures through shared experience strengthening their bonds and teamwork. Courage- We honor our guests’ willingness to tackle internal obstacles and overcome fears. Trust – Through proper communication between guest and staff, we strive to instill faith in the equipment and staff to keep participants safe. Respect – FLG X promotes sportsmanship among our guests by encouraging them to accept their limits and the limits of others. Environmental Consciousness – We strive to leave a small footprint in all we do. We work to preserve the trees, the forest floor and to eventually leave the forest in a better state than when we started.

Great experience and would recommend!
Oct 2021
This was challenging at times, but a lot of fun. My husband and I (50 years old) had a blast! It took just over 3 hours to complete the course. It might take longer if you are in a large group or if you are waiting on a large group ahead of you to finish. We went in late October; the weather was perfect. The crew was also wonderful!

This is a really fun ropes course that gets progressively more difficult. The safety features initially felt intimidating since you hook yourself into the loops yourself, but quickly becomes second nature. We managed to finish the fifth (black) course and appreciated our guide's encouragement and tips to complete obstacles when we were stuck. Super recommend!

Outstanding fun course in the trees
Oct 2021 • Solo
Flagstaff extreme adventure course is an amazing place. Zach and his outstanding friendly helpful staff will make certain you have a wonderful day. The course is arranged so that you start on lower easy course and each next course is harder and higher. It is all designed in the trees and very beautiful. The harness you wear has the clicket caribiner system which makes it impossible to take both off and safely has clipped onto a cable at all times you are climbing. There is also zip line only course for those not willing or wanting to work for their zip line ride. It is for everyone, young and old, couples, families, company team building etc. Tell them Popeye recommended them. Definitely one of the best things to do while in Flagstaff.

Highly recommend this!
We didn’t know what to expect and my kids (8&10)have not done ropes courses before. We were all so impressed with our time here. Safety equipment was top notch. Guide was patient and friendly. Highly recommend this for a fun held day activity

Great activity for kids or adults
Aug 2021
We took our kids for a reward choice. Be aware that the courses are broken up into youth and adult, with over 12 being considered the adult course. Our 9 and 12 year old had a great time on the kids course for about 90 minutes. They did have to take some pauses for thunder/lightning but were not shut down for rain. We waited nearby at a park bench and enjoyed the weather. My wife has also gone on the adult course as part of a team building exercise and enjoyed it as well.

Not to be missed!!!
Jul 2021 • Couples
Amazing time! So much fun. I highly recommend wearing fingerless gloves to protect your hands and bringing water! In the Arizona heat you’ll need it (if you’re a non-native like me). If you forget yours, there are both for sale at check-in for cheap. I’ve never done such an extensive ropes course with so many different obstacles and stages. Rope ladders, cargo nets, zip lines, swinging boards…. the works! There were 5 stages and I made it through 4, but then thunderstorms rolled in and we had to leave the course. The staff were efficient and helpful. They were always paying attention while we were on the course and responded immediately if someone had trouble/wanted to get down/got injured.

Great Family fun in natural place

Best with a group of family or friends so that each can encourage each other, you need to be little adventurous for all levels 2-5. Level 1 is okay.

Amazing fun for the family
Jul 2021
This is great as a day activity. The sign up was easy and the instruction was well thought out. I was surprised how much fun it was. If you go in the summer like we did, I would suggest sunscreen and super cold water
