About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- P V0 contributionsGood tourGood tour for first timers or for the people trying to avoid driving. Guide Milton very friendly and good narrative throughout the tour.Written September 3, 2024
- 111pallavik0 contributionsLot of trading post and commercial stops -The tour was very average. Had multiple stops just for shopping which took away from the trips sight seeing time. Felt very commercial. Lunch was picnic style , just a sandwich ( which they called in advance and took the order). The guide was ok,, just kept kept repeating the facts. Overall - would not recommend if you already have a car. Felt the day was lost visiting trading posts.Written September 3, 2024
- dackley2220230 contributionsGreat tour for familiesWe had three generations on a five day Sedona trip. Chose Grand Canyon Adventures from the reviews. I cannot say enough about how great everyone is with this organization. Spoke to Sara in the office to make the reservations. Was sent detailed emails two days before the trips regarding pick up details and what to bring. Lunches, snacks and drinks were all provided in abundance and delicious. Tour guide Molly on the Grand Canyon tour and Lynn on the Antelope Canyon were both rockstars. The van was comfortable and both tour guides were full of history and stories to keep the drive interesting. We considered doing these trips on our own, but we all were so glad we went with Grand Canyon Adventures so we could all enjoy the sites together with more information than we could have imagined.Written August 13, 2024
- Climber539252629110 contributionsBrutal heat and fantastic viewsOur guide, Darby, was very informative and entertaining. She kept us abreast of everything to expect and assured us every step of the way. I would recommend this tour to anyone but beware of excessive heat also make sure you have good stamina.Written August 6, 2024
- Travelgal60000 contributionsTop Notch Tour to Beautiful LocationsThis tour was top notch. Our guide, Cory, was great. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. The trip out to the sites from Flagstaff is very long - 2 hours plus. We made plenty of bathroom stops - something that can be lacking on other tours. Cory provided great commentary during the trip. The sites were beautiful - although it was extremely hot. Cory provided plenty of cold water, wet towels to put around our necks, and umbrellas. The tour was arranged so we visited Horseshoe Bend first, earlier in the day since the hike out was longer and unshaded. We were given plenty of time to enjoy the view and take pictures. We visited the Glen Canyon Dam after Horseshoe Bend and had lunch. Lunch was very good and plenty of food: large sandwiches, chips, fresh fruit and pasta salad and soft drinks, served on nice plates - not paper! We then headed to Antelope Valley which was the highlight of the trip. It was during the hottest part of the day but once we were down in the slot canyon, it was quite pleasant. Our Navajo guide did a great job and took great pictures for us. There is a lot of climbing up and down stairs/ladders so I wouldn’t recommend for those who cannot navigate steeps stairs. There are also some very tight places you need to navigate. This tour was one of the best I’ve ever done and I highly recommend it! Bravo!Written August 3, 2024
- douglasvH5046GL0 contributionsAan exceptional experience from start to finish.Grand Canyon Adventures offers an exceptional experience from start to finish. Sara, the office support person, flawlessly handled all our requests, ensuring every detail was perfect. Scott, our guide, driver, storyteller, and all-around professional travel expert, provided us with everything we needed throughout the trip. While they couldn't deliver the 70-degree weather I had hoped for, they made sure all of us had everything necessary to cope with the hot desert summer heat while I enjoyed a day to remember.Written July 19, 2024
- 985milesl0 contributionsGreat Day of seeing new things!Garrett was awesome. He made the long ride go fast. Great tours and views of Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon. This tour was just great!Written July 8, 2024
- H9716OGingridg0 contributionsGood times!Very well organized from the moment we booked. Two days before the trip, they called and checked in with us, asking about our lunch preferences. Will, the guide and driver, was a wonderful storyteller who blended biology, geology, astronomy, history and storytelling. A fabulous raconteur! He was happy to answer all of our questions. When we booked, we knew we were taking a bit of a risk because of monsoon season. And when it rained, the hike into antelope canyon got canceled. so they refunded 50% of our trip. We are definitely coming back and booking with this outfit.Written June 21, 2024
- Culture228999408730 contributionsAbove beyond! Do it with Grand Canyon Adventures! This was wonderful and very well organized trip in every aspect! The biggest thanks to the best guide Milton! Wonderful ture guide! Amazing spirit and beautiful stories of Navajo land and culture. This was spectacular addition to meet him with all those beautiful views of Horseshoe bend and Antylope Canyon and many more. Lunch on the side of Colorado River Dam brilliant idea! Trip worth of every penny spent. If you go on your own you will not save much money. And the knowledge of your guide is very important and it matters if you want to know where to look and what is the history of it. Thank You Milton Tso!Written June 19, 2024

- Tinanite540 contributionsDo it!!!Horseshoe bend and Antelope Canyon are a must see when in Arizona! Horseshoe Bend is a beautiful site to see with places you can look over a guard rail to a 1000 foot drop to a beautiful river. There are many locations without guard rails as well. Our tour guide Danya was incredible, knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. She is an Arizona native, avid hiker, and able, and willing to answer all of the questions we had about the area. Well viewing the Glen Canyon Dam Danya set up a wonderful lunch that was made fresh daily by a local café. At antelope Canyon, our tour guide Jose was also incredible. He was able to explain to us many of the Navajo cultural significance to the canyon as well as the geology and hydrology associated with the creation of the absolutely beautiful red rocks. There is a quick stop at a gift shop where there are native Navajo creating beautiful tapestries for purchase. Highly recommend this trip!Written June 9, 2024
- X586AAhollyc0 contributionsAntelope Canyon was life changing!!The tour guide was amazing. The actual navigation within the lower canyon requires strong legs and arms. The exit was very narrow be prepared to squeeze out. Loved it!!!Written June 4, 2024
- 855kh0 contributionsAmazing tour, highly recommend! The tour guide kept us entertained with stories and history. The sites chosen and time allocated were excellent! Horseshoe Bend was more dramatic in person than appreciated in photos. Our Navajo guide was very informative and friendly. Spectacular photos were a bonus at Antelope Canyon! - reneew826a0 contributionsFantastic Tour!!This tour was wonderful. Very friendly and informative guides, safe driving, adequate stops for breaks, good food for lunch. Good amount of time at Horseshoe Bend and the dam. And the tour of Antelope Canyon was more than I could have asked for. Lots of time in the canyon. This is the way to go and Grand Canyon Tours is the one to choose. 1st tour was to Grand Canyon East and South. Milton was the most informative tour guide I have ever met. He was amazing. The next tour was Antelope Canyon and again Grand Canyon Tours was our #1 choice. And no letdown!! This is an amazing company. Everyone is so nice and friendly. Our tour guide was Lynn. She was so much fun. We had to take a detour on a so called road in the middle of nowhere in the desert and she handled it like a pro and we had so much fun. Choose Grand Canyon Tours. You won’t regret it!

On 15July24 we used Grand Canyon Adventures for a Grand Canyon tour. Two days prior to trip, we were called to confirm trip and was also asked what type of sandwich we would like (we were provided lunch consisting of a sandwich, fruit, pasta and soda and/or water.
Our tour guide/driver was Jason. I cannot give Jason enough praise for what a FANTASTIC job he did. He was VERY knowledgeable about Flagstaff area and the drive to the Grand Canyon. He even set up a scope/telescope for us to see bottom of canyon.
We would absolutely use this company again for Canyon tour.
Thank you so very much for a wonderful day!

Awesome! Highly recommend! Well worth the money to sit back, relax, and have someone else do the driving and navigating to the best viewing spots. Tony, our tour guide, was great!

My brother and I arrived at the offices early (0830). We met our driver/guide Tony and boarded the bus to make a brief hotel circuit to pick up our 6 remaining tourists. Tony was obviously professionally well-versed in geology and several sciences. He drove and commanded his microphone all day with facts from departure to return. Questions were invited. We did stop at several restrooms, Indian shops, and lookout points around the South Rim. Snacks, various beverages, and water were provided as well as lunch at one of our stops. We ended our tour at 5-530pm. It was a full day with ample opportunities to answer nature's call, stretch our legs, and walk about. The bus was quite comfortable. This is the way to see the rim of the canyon unless you prefer driving, losing your way, and waiting in line to enter the park; plus, you get to be enlightened with a wealth of knowledge about the formation of, and life in, the Grand Canyon. I highly recommend this guided tour.

Our trip was amazing! Molly, our tour guide was remarkably knowledgeable! We learned so much about the history of the canyon, the Indians and their lifestyle, animals, meteorology and geological information. She is qualified to teach a college course about the canyon and we had a wonderful time! Food was great and she was so accommodating to any of our needs. If you go try to arrange a trip with Molly! It is by far one of the most memorable vacation events of our lifetime! Thank you Molly for making our 45 th anniversary even more special!

Without a doubt, one of my favorite tours of the Grand Canyon – South Rim.
Upon picking us up at our motel, we were warmly welcomed by Grand Canyon Adventures Guide Darby. She introduced us to the 5 other participants in the tour van and we felt welcomed. With such a friendly atmosphere we had a fantastic day! Darby and the tour schedule was extremely informative, yet very flexible and for that she deserves special thanks. We had a great day seeing the South Rim and stopping at five locations throughout the day, which obviously also added to the experience.
Darby has a warm personality and is a highly motivated guide (recommendable!). She truly enjoyed guiding the eight of us through the tour. The scenery was beautiful, and it was a relief to walk in such a peaceful environment.
The atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to all of us. All respect for Darby who did a great job; a true sample of excellent tour guide!
Many thanks again and I recommend Darby and Grand Canyon Adventures tours to everyone!

Had two great day trips with Grand Canyon Adventures! I booked the tours to Grand Canyon and to lower Antelope Canyon/Horseshoe Bend.
The tours are very well organised, delicious sandwiches are served for lunch and snacks/drinks are offered throughout the whole day trip. The guides (Mark and Garret) were very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas/spots/history and shared so many interesting story’s.
Group sizes were between 8-12 people and it was very pleasant to chat with the other participants.
In my opinion we were given enough time to explore the different spots on the tour, my highlight was the 2 mile walk along the South Rim at Grand Canyon. That was awesome!
I can highly recommend Grand Canyon Adventures, it’s worth it!

My husband and I both have mobility issues, and we are not young either. (66 and 70) We did tire out; we did find some paths too dangerous-looking for us. But we were with a great group of people. The young family of four did all of the walking; my husband and I happily sat some things out. There were two other people on our tour; like us, they were not young but not quite as decrepit as us. They sat out a thing or two; not as many things as we did but a couple of things.

How much walking is required and how difficult are the walking paths. I am elderly and have arthritis.
Written June 28, 2021
There really aren't any trails. The bus tends to park fairly close to the lookouts. Also, the company is very accommodating, so I would bet that they would be comfortable with you staying in the van at one lookout or another. But, I wouldn't call it super handicapped friendly - the paths are uneven and you do need to get in and out of the bus regularly.
