      Lots of History in Sitka
The “Sitka Wildlife Tours” was an excellent choice for us. Yvonne, our guide, was excellent. She provided great commentary as we visited the Sitka National Park where she explained the design and importance of each of the National Historical Park. Admire the historical and cultural treasures of the Tlingit totem poles. It was a treat to watch the salmon spawn upriver. Yvonne shared her knowledge of Sitka’s role in World War II, the importance of fishing to Sitka, and the boarding school offered to students from the remotest areas. We took the scenic route along Silver Bay where we eventually reached the Fortress of the Bear complex. This is where orphaned bears live in a natural setting. Highly recommend Sitka Wild Life Tours when you are in Sitka.

      The Most Amazing trip EVER
This whale watching tour was worth every penny! From the time I booked it till the end. I booked on line a month before we arrived, I was nervous because I did not book this threw the cruise line but they reassured us we would get back to boat in plenty of time, and we did. I wanted a private tour because we wanted the experience to our self’s plus we had our 2 year old grand daughter that fell asleep. Our Guide was Frank Rodgers, and by far was the kindest man was very educational about the animals and their culture. We learnt so much from him! He made sure to take us too see even more then what was included in our tour. We actually witnessed a big whale breaching out the water, then we witnessed twice a mother and baby whale breaching out the water, this was so exciting! And I was able to get it all on camera! We seen the tails come up out the water more then once! And it being different whales in different areas. The sea Otters were some pretty amazing little guys and gals. We will be back and this will definitely be the company we use again and I will request Frank. Thank you for making our experience one of the best!

      Great guide & great stops
We loved our guide Brett Davis- low key but super informative. Helped all of us in & out of the van at every stop. Feel like we hit the highlights in Sitka!

Great tour and best way to see a lot in not too much time!
We did this tour while on a cruise, so we had limited time in Stika. It was a great mix of things and our local tour guide gave lots of local information. The kids on our tour even got to become junior rangers at the park. Highly recommend -- everything was on time and they even gave us a ride back to the pier since we had a short amount of time. Highly recommend this tour and company!

      Great trip
Great Guide, lot of relevant information, very well organised, good stops, it would be the best if we could spend more time at each place except forest of the bears!

A Great Tour with Exciting Stops in Sitka.
This was our third time in Sitka so we wanted to do something a little different. This trip was a perfect choice. Our bus driver was super nice, helpful and very interesting. We loved the stops that the tour incorporates into the experience. It was a perfect day for us.

      Nice excursion for our cruise.
The A Fortress of the Bear and the Alaska Raptor Center were really nice! I would have liked to spend more time there. The city tour was ok, but the driver was really good.

Bruce and Rhonda are always accommodating to Families. Robert set up a little fishing adventure from the shore but the kids caught crabs with their hands. Brent Davis always the best guide goes way out of the way to give you the full view of the Bears, Eagles, Owls and totems poles.Overwhelmingly educational.Great Reasonable tour for the $$.

      Great Experience
Great value, much cheaper than buying the same excursion from the cruise line! Pick up point centrally located and easy to find. Friendly staff and knowledgeable tour guide. Clean transport. Brett our host certainly new his way around and gave an excellent commentary. Could have done with more time at some venues but we were not disappointed. Would highly recommend this excursion

Good option if you can't tour on your own
We would normally try to visit these sites on our own but we decided on a tour since we didn't have a car for the half day we had available. Brett was knowledgeable but you are definitely on a schedule to cover everything in 2.5 hours. The Fortress of the Bear and the Raptor Center are actually pretty small so the 20-30 minutes at those was sufficient. The historical park seemed to get the short shrift. It didn't help that we went on a really crummy weather day but they obviously can't control that (and actually managed the rain just fine).

      Bears Raptors and Totems
We had a great trip in a small group of 10 to see the bears, raptors and totems. Would have liked a little more time with the raptors and totems but it was amazing how much we saw and learnt. Brett Davis was our knowledgeable tour guide.

Brett our tour guide was awesome. We had a great day. The bears were just a beautiful experience, seeing them play, sleep, and catch fish was breathtaking. We saw an eagle with her 3 babies which was amazing. All the sights of the day were great. I would definitely use this company again to see the sights.

Informative guide Yvonne. Very helpful & friendly. A small group tour is the way to go. It was relaxing being transported in a small van & seeing & learning as much as we did because of keeping the group on the smaller side

Tour guide was real nice and informative, Van was very comfy and convenient. Here comes the but, the value that you get for $90 a person with no kids discount is lackluster. The 1st stop bear fortress is a non-profit that charges only $15/person entry for adults and free for kids under $7 and $10 bus shuttle will get anyone there rnd trip. Totem pole park turned out to be a public park 0.7 miles or precisely 10 minute walk from the pickup point. Since the tour guide only did a short stroll with the group that lasted perhaps 1/4 way through it, we had to walk back to totem park by ourselves from pickup point again after the tour ended to do the loop trail again. I suggest that the company figure out a way to add more scenic hikes or closer view of the salmon runs etc into the tour to provide more value for this package.

Our guide was very nice. Took us to the Fortress of the Bear and we were on our own. Local staff were available for any questions. We then drove to see the totem poles, which we didn't get to see. Our guide couldn't go in and we would have had to go in by ourselves and figure out a ride back to the ship. Disappointing.

Hi, I think you may have reviewed the wrong company. All our guides stay with our customers at each stop. Some other companies don't pay the National park fees and their guides can't go in the park like ours. We always guide at all stops. I'm sorry this happened to you! There are at least 3 other venders that sell through Viator.Your guides name would help us figure out what company you went with. I pray the rest of you trip went great

I booked and paid for this tour for two people on Viator. We were on a cruise and this was our port stop. I got the date wrong and the tour company said they usually catch that, but the resold our seats. They would NOT give us a partial refund so we had to pay again for the Fortress of the Bear. I thought this was really unfair, that they got to keep our money and resold the tickets.

I am surprised that you would blame us for you booking the wrong day. On the day you were scheduled for we looked everywhere for you and lost out on selling the two seats as you were a no show! The next day you show up out of the blue after we sold out and now blame us. We wish you would called to let us know about the mistake. We are sorry you booked the wrong day . I pray the rest of your cruise stops where booked properly.

The vans were/are in good shape. The tour guide Wendy was really great. It was her first tour of the season. But the communication as to where to meet was terrible. We had no idea when or where to meet the company. We waited at convention centre to find some indication of what or where to connect with tour operator. No one was there. The phone number on company’s profile was wrong. We walked a half mile up to the address on website and of course no one was there. We phoned the location of where tour operator was to take us (Frontier Bear Center) and they were able to give us a number to call. Left vm and then received a call from Rhonda telling us we were late for our tour when they were so ill prepared in first and we’d walked all over hells half acre looking for them in the first place. Very disorganized.
Tour would’ve been good except for poor communication and initial experience. I’d likely not book with them again for the unprofessional experience. I get that it was the first tour of season but a one minute email to let us know where to meet and that they would be there at such and such time would’ve been helpful.
    Wendy you did good!
