No Tickets, No Cash, No Fun
Expensive Very, Card Only they don't take cash they don't sell tickets here either you have to buy them on line, wait you don't take cash 🤔? You don't actually sell tickets at ticket booth 🤔 ? But you want customers! Why not try making it convenient! I asked one of the 13 year old kids that works at booth how do I buy a ticket, his words were I Don't Know I Just Accepted Tickets 😂!!! I'm a LEGO fan but this place a LEGO knock off joke 😂! Keep Walking!!!

    Don't Go
It was super crowded, very dirty, unorganized, they should have age group areas very (toddler/preschool ish ) my son was very disappointed and so was I. We couldn't even go and stop to play at any stations every thing was crowded, gross, 🤢 unsanitized. I guess I paid to watch other people and kids play the Lines are crazy. So unorganized. We couldn't even get out pic 😒 will never go back....I wish I could have a refund.

No kids, no entry - Birthday Miss
My wife and I bought tickets through “ticketsatwork” (a partner of Legoland and my job) and flew from Nashville to San Antonio for my birthday (I am huge Lego Fan).Upon arrival and to our surprise, we were told that “we can’t go in because we aren’t accompanied by a child.” *We did confirm this is mentioned as you go to checkout on the Legoland website but not their partners.* I know this isn’t necessarily Legoland’s fault that it isn’t listed on their partners site (although they could make sure), but they offered no explanation as to why this was the case or offered us the opportunity to enter without doing any of the rides or activities that are for kids (which I would’ve accepted just for the opportunity to see what it was all about). Additionally, I was unable to get a refund on the ticket through ticketsatwork, so all in all, not a good place to go unless you have kids.

kids had fun but poor customer service
If you buy any small lego bags, there are coupon for kids free entry. Bring that bag, because if you took a picture and show it the staff, they almost did not want to honor it. When we presented it, they basically just handed us their iPad and made me purchase my ticket online instead of assisting us. Kids have fun, so it's ok. There's a DOTS room, where kids create a small square and at the end, they take home a bracelet. Indoor play structure is fun, of course the building the car race. The 4D movie does get you wet but the AIR is strong in there, so look out. Lastly, the Lego Store doesn't have a lot of stock, and they barely gave me my discount from being a Lego VIP member. Make sure you ask, they are not very helpful.

    Not for real Lego fans
Not a real Lego Retail store. This store does not give Lego VIP points and does not have the free gift with purchase. I was extremely disappointed and I would not have spent money at this fake lego store had they disclosed this to customers. Skip the fake "retail experience" and just buy online.

    Rainy day activity
We paid $100 for a family of 4, absolutely bonkers, so we saved it for a rainy day activity. We purchased tickets online and brought our three small kids, it was a great time. We spent two hours and then everyone was ready for a nap, I wish they opened before 10. My husband was a lego fanatic as a kid and was loving mini town and all of the themed interactions. I’m not a big lego fan but I loved seeing my kids so happy and enjoying themselves on the two rides and I loved that they allowed us to bring our toddler on the medieval ride, it was a blast being able to do something with all of us since she was too small for some of the other activities. I don’t think we will be back bc the cost is so prohibitive, I could get a zoo or Witte membership for that price. But I am glad we got the one time experience. We also declined the ridiculous phot package at the end, if they had a digital option for $5 I would have bought it, they must lose a lot of sales bc of the price gouging. Nothing in their store was cheaper than Amazon, I did like that they validated our parking :)

    So much fun
Took my grandchildren the week of Thanksgiving. I hate how Covid has impacted our lives! One upside though, is that places aren’t packed to capacity. We had so much fun. Kids were spaced out on the rides. Legos were sanitized and bagged for each child. Adults were able to get coffee. The class was fun. Parking was convenient. I’d definitely come back.

    Not worth the money
This is not a legoland, if you’ve been to others. It is a small play place for your kids that has legos. The display room is amazing, except half of the moveable parts are “under repair”. The play room is pretty dirty, parts of the equipment are already falling apart, chunks of foam are missing. The movie was not staffed even though it says to wait to be helped, so we walked in and grabbed our own glasses. It also claimed to be 4D, but the only “4” part was some wind. I’m glad there is sanitizer everywhere, it sure felt dirty. The price is just not justified. Maybe if you didn’t have to pay for adults, as there isn’t anything for adults to do. With a lego obsessed 4 yr old, we were barely able to keep him occupied for more than 90 min. I’d say save your money, dump some legos in a bin for your kid’s to play with, and you’d be happier.

Few Hours of Fun (w/ Kids 8 and Under)
This was the perfect stop to spend a few hours in the middle of the day. Our girls are 6 and 8 and really enjoyed discovering (no pun intended) all the fun little activities including: (2) mini rides, jungle gym, 4-D movie theatre (approx 12mins), classroom where they learned to build misc objects, and a room where they had San Antonio built out of legos! I don't know that they would be as entertained on a return trip, but they really enjoyed seeing this for the first time. We were able to get tickets via a bundle with the Hop on Hop Off tour bus, and it was worth it. It was also a nice place to get a taste of what Legoland would be like. So glad we found this!

    Only for under 10 kids
It was a nice visit, it is good for kids under 10 and it is highly overpriced. max 60 to 90mins activities/playtime there for young kids.

Kids younger than 8 will love
We went to Legoland Discovery Center to celebrate my daughter’s 7th birthday. After researching I was able to determine this probably wasn’t an all day activity. We spent about 4 hours there and we did everything (all rides, stations, playground, and 4d movie) including the knight Quest ride twice. I recommend getting the activity pack as well when buying tickets, there is a stamp you can get at all the stations which my daughter loved collecting. We weren’t familiar with the area or mall but park in the parking garage on Alamo street for closest parking.

    REALLY CUTE
Took my daughter here for her 9th birthday. It is smaller than I imagined, but very cute. Everything was clean and the employees were very friendly. I really enjoyed seeing the San Antonio buildings in Legos. I think they did a great job with this and it will be an asset to San Antonio tourism and all those that visit with young children.

    Good For Children
We took our granddaughter here, and she loved it. Plenty of activities for a 9 year old girl. They had 3 rides for her to go on also. One was a 4D movie which was fun for all of us. We did this twice and was happy that we viewed 2 different movies! We didn't know that, and were happy about that. It wasn't that expensive to get in, however, the prices in the gift shop were kind of outrageous. All in all, we all had a good time.

    Awesome place
We came the day after Labor Day and the first thing I noticed was how clean the entire place was especially after a holiday. The staff is super helpful, polite, and very good with kids. There is so much to do in one place and it’s not all jam packed together. It’s a very one of a kind experience that I’m so thankful my son got to have. We will definitely be back.

Way too crowded!!! The lines are LONG. They have a play zone (kids playground), VR simulator, Kingdom quest, merlin ride, and a short movie as activities. The line for merlin's ride wrapped around and past the creative workshop. The VR line wrapped along the wall to the airplane ride. For a family of 4, we paid way too much to wait around and my kids seemed overwhelmed with the number of people around them. You can barely walk without bumping into someone. I had hope for a fun magic family experience but we left without being able to ride anything. They got to play with legos in an open bin and build toy cars. The play zone was packed and the kids had a hard time getting through it so only went around once.

They play a short lego movie every 30 minutes but the line for the movie was long as well. We did walk through the miniland which is a display of the city of San Antonio made from lego blocks.

We tried to grab food but after 25 minutes in line and moving 3 feet we left we decided to leave (to clarify I was in line while my husband and kids attempted to get in on the action). The cafe line was the longest of all the lines and extended to in front of merlins ride (half the length of the entire room).

When exiting the cashier machines were down so we could not buy anything from the Lego store which was bare of inventory. Either people bought them out earlier or they didn't have enough in stock to account for the crowds. I had hoped to compensate for the horrible time at the discovery center and buy some sets but that turned out to be another disappointment. For us, it was a waste of time and money.

We paid for the combo ticket but didn't even try Sea Life afterward. Downtown is a busy area so I'm sure they get plenty of traffic but it's a madhouse inside.

We visited Legoland Discovery San Antonio yesterday with our two young boys (3 and 4).

To be honest it is really ridiculous that everybody had to pay the full price!
The small kids weren't allowed to take part in the workshops, cause they are too young, also not everything was really enjoyable for their age. So they couldn't enjoy everything.

And we accompanied them and also both parents had to pay the full price! Why?! It is for kids and not for me, I was just helping and watching that they do not destroy anything.

You can go on a not really cool ride and watch some 4D movies, where you always get wet. The rest is playing lego.

We paid around $100 for 1.5 hours of more or less fun - unbelievable.

Stay away and do something cool with the money or donate it to the homeless in the streets.

And Legoland should immediately think about more family friendly prices or cheaper tickets for accompaniing adults.

Too expensive for what you get, the 3D movie wasn’t working so it was a plain movie. Merlin’s ride lasts about 60 seconds! The virtual reality experience lasts about 2.5 minutes for $7 - really a rip off. So little to see and do for a big price tag. We will never go back. Once you go, you realize the rip off. I doubt they ever get return business.

This was not worth the price of admission and if I could give this a zero for the Lego portion I would. The only saving grace was the sea life area. For the Lego area be prepared there is zero organization to this place. It is chaos to say the least. Second, I purchased the VR option, and the line was so long we were never able to do it. Next, the additional price I paid for my boys to do the scavenger hunt for a prize was a huge waste. The prize is a sticker sheet. Don't waste your money on this. The biggest issue we had was when we tried to ride the Kingdom Quest ride we were told that my kids were too big, and they needed to split our family up. The lady was extremely rude when I questioned why. We would all easily fit on the cars.
Her response was your kids look older and so they can ride alone. First off, she does not get to judge the age of my children and in a busy place I am not comfortable leaving or splitting up my children. Just because my children are taller does not mean that they are older. Then she tried to get me to put my purse against an open gate area where people were walking in an out. I asked her if she would be responsible for the contents if it were stollen. She said that it wasn't her problem and that the rules are rules, and that I should have used a locker. I asked where the sign was posted that directed me to use a locker and she very rudely told me I could either follow her rules or leave. Once we finally got on the ride the shooters were broken. My family goes to large theme parks, and we have never had to leave bags on the side of the floor, nor told that my children had to be split from me. Both are safety issues. Management needs to train their staff better. For $41 a ticket plus the extras I purchase I expected more and better. Don't waste your time or money on this place.

Always a great time here, it’s always super clean and all employees were wearing masks. Masks are not required but highly recommended, I saw about 50/50 wearing them. So I felt completely safe and it wasn’t too crowded, lots of walking space. The employees are very attentive and even noticed when my son twisted his ankle in the play area, coming over to offer first aid. There’s two rides for the kids, and one virtual reality. They have a ramp for kids to make Lego cars and race them down the ramp. And I love the little café that they have, providing Starbucks coffee and nice treats like sandwiches milk and other snacks for the kids.

The center is very much targeted to younger audiences. I would say younger than 7 or 8. We took our 9 year old grandson and it was too young for him. I think he would have enjoyed the virtual reality ride, but unfortunately, it was out of order on our visit. The lego city was pretty cool, but not worth the admission. We should have purchased the combo ticket and at least gone to see the aquarium.

We drove 5 hours to go to Legoland. We mentioned it to several employees hoping they would help us have a better time but alas that was not the outcome. It was a slow day without many customers yet we were ignored by the staff. The guy who led the building room was nice and helpful but everyone else was sort of annoyed we were there. I really wish we had had a better experience.

Poor all around ! Expensive for large family not much to do 'Card Only No Cash" 🙄! No Cash Anywhere not even at gift shop makes no sense other than a way to scam and get your information! My kids saved there money all year just to spend it at Lego Discovery Center San Antonio and they couldn't due to no cash policy! They don't actually sell any tickets at the ticket desk I'm not real sure what they do there you have to buy tickets online! Don't ask attendant for help about tickets no clue none zero no help ! Military you have to buy tickets at ID Me to get discount! Place had standing water on floor at Lego tables everything felt dirty! Bathroom smelled horrible The only plus was aquarium nice clean! But over all "Hard Pass on Lego Discovery Center San Antonio Texas! Save your Cash for a family activity that appreciates your business!

We bought a ticket for 10:15 but arrived and a field trip of 100+ kids was just arriving. The front desk told us we could come back after lunch which was nice. It was not too crowded when we came back. My kids (7 and 12) enjoyed all of it. We did the VR and the master builder course/demo which was cute and fun. They loved the little rides, too. It was nice to be able to sit in the AC for a bit and let the kids play in the different areas. My 12 yo still enjoys these types of things but older kids/teens may be bored.
