About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- beccavz0 contributionsExcellent for Children of All Ages!We loved our tour with Alicia! We were travelling with our 3 kids (6, 3, and under 1) and wanted to give them a little background on Salem. I was worried about how to talk about the witch trials with my kids, as they are young, but Alicia did a flawless job. They had a better understanding of the area and all of us enjoyed our entire trip more as a result. Highly recommend this tour if you are travelling with young kids, especially if you can go early in your trip so your kids have some background!Written October 22, 2024
- mirandamE1965YB0 contributionsFun kid-friendly tourLovely energy from the tour guide that was able to keep the attention of all the young children. Very informational. Good amount of historical info all about Salem, not just the witch trials.Written October 19, 2024
- S854QRbrooked0 contributionsBest hour spent in Salem with young familyMy family of four went on the slightly spooky tour today and I can't say enough good things about it! The whole town of Salem was extremely crowded yet the tour guide made this tour feel personalized and special. The sights were easy to navigate and very interesting to learn about. This is a great way to spend an hour with young kids!Written October 13, 2024
- loras9380 contributionsWonderful Slightly Spooky experienceWe had a great time hearing all the history and spooky stories told by Alicia our guide. She was very pleasant and well spoken. She kept the kids engaged the whole time without being too scary. My Mom, Husband, Daughters (7 & 16) and myself thoroughly enjoyed it. 🪦👻Written October 13, 2024
- Ehuntsch0 contributionsTourWe went on the kids spooky kids tour. It lasted about 45 minutes and went to some of the main sites. We had a hard time hearing the tour guide.Written October 9, 2024

- andreaeH9897JX0 contributionsVery Delightful Slightly Spooky TourAlicia was a charming, funny, informative, and delightful tour guide. My family and I absolutely loved the tour. Alicia is wonderful with kids — she is a teacher and it sure shows! I wish I I had had her as a teacher when I was a kid!Written September 23, 2024
- 710julianned0 contributionsPhenomenal tourThis tour was amazing. The tour guide was amazing to the kids and shared lots of details with us about each place we stopped. The tour guide knew every question we asked and was very funny too. I would go on this tour again and again if I could. And for the spots we visit the price was a steal.Written September 6, 2024
- lindsaymI2161BD0 contributionsPerfect way to start Salem with kids!Wow! This was a great way to start our trip to Salem. Not only did it help us see a lot of Salem and figure out the layout of the town, it also kept our kids entertained and got them very excited for our trip to Salem. Five kids, ages 6-13, all loved it!Written August 23, 2024
- USGirlinUK590 contributionsPerfect tour for kids (and adults)Fantastic tour - great intro to Salem’s interesting history and perfect facts and length for kids. Would definitely recommend.Written August 22, 2024
- 937lexj0 contributionsAMAZING!!!We did the Spooky Tour with Alicia and our two kids agreed that it was the best thing we did in Salem. Our kids are ages 10 and 12, so they are getting to that age where they declare everything "boring". We were so happy that this tour caught and kept their attention. Alicia is fun and energetic, and she also has an enormous wealth of knowledge about Salem history. She stayed for a bit after the tour answering questions, which we really appreciated. We are so glad we found this tour; highly recommended!Written August 8, 2024
- lumettakn0 contributionsMust do family tour of Salem!Highly recommend for families and really anyone wanting an amazing, engaging tour of Salem! This tour was absolutely the best way as a family to learn and see some of the interesting history of Salem, the witch trials, and historical sights. My 7 and 10 year old daughters loved Alicia and the information she shared. But let’s be honest, mom and dad were just as thrilled to take such an engaging tour of the city too! Thanks Alicia!Written August 7, 2024
- 792marybethc0 contributionsA full Salem experienceWow! Loved our tour guide and loved the experience. A must do when you're with your kiddos in Salem! I wish it would've been longer!Written July 3, 2024
- 368jennf0 contributionsFun for the whole family.Went with my kiddos, parents, and nephews for a spring break trip and this tour was a blast. Our guide was knowledgeable and personable. She really made the tour interesting to kids and adults alike. Would definitely recommend!Written April 17, 2024
- 311suzieb0 contributionsSpooktacular!!!I would give this tour more stars if I could! The Salem Kids Slightly Spooky Tour was beyond my family's expectations. Alicia is an amazing tour guide as she delivered an engaging, interactive, fun history lesson for kids and adults alike. Her gifts as a teacher and in-depth knowledge as a Salem resident were on display. My 7 yo was so engaged she didn't want to be interrupted by photo opportunities, and neither she nor my 5yo was overspooked at any time. We took an early tour, just before Halloween, and we were able to avoid the crowds and experience the Halloween excitement and beauty of Salem. I can't recommend this family-friendly tour more, and look forward to future tours (at all times of the year) with Salem Kids Tours.Written October 30, 2023

My husband and I took our 6 year old son and 7 year old daughter on the tour and all 4 of us enjoyed it very much. Alicia is animated and engaging, and she knows how to talk so that all the children and adults stay interested. We learned a lot about the history of Salem and enjoyed learning about the various landmarks in town. Alicia is warm and friendly and has a good sense of humor. Definitely recommend it!

This was such a great tour! My husband and I took our two daughters, 11 and 14. It was perfect for us. The guide was exceptional—engaging, patient, and well informed. (Because she is a middle school history teacher, she knows how to grab and hold everyone’s attention.) It was the perfect way to get a brief overview of Salem. Even though it is billed as a kids tour, it was nonetheless great for adults, too, and I learned a lot. Although the guide works well with kids of all ages, because it is a walking tour and lasts an hour, it seems best for children ages 8 and older. The little ones in our group started to get “itchy” after about a half hour. While she touches on all aspects of Salem, the content is kept “G rated” and upbeat (which is quite a feat). If you have kids or are a kid at heart who wants a user friendly intro to Salem, take this tour!

Time well spent. With many tours available, this one by far was the best. The kids loved it and the adults did too! Our guide, Alicia, took the time to greet the children in the group and answered all their questions with patience and age appropriate answers. The hour interactive tour flew by as there was laughter with information that we were still talking about hours later. We did other tours while in Salem and this one was by far the best! Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.

We participated in a kids history tour on Halloween this year. Our guide John was an excellent guide who made sure to include everyone in the experience. He was great with the kids and made all of their input feel valued. Our 8 and 10 year old learned so much about Salem and its rich history. Even with the massive amounts of people there on Halloween, Jon kept the group together and made sure we were able to see and hear everything we needed too.

Some kids are interested in history and would eagerly partake in a historical walking tour of a city like Salem. And then are my kids lol. They're good kids but rarely express interest in activities that include any of the words, walking, tour, and/or history. They had a good time, asked questions, and learned a few fun facts about Salem. The tour was balanced (i.e. not entirely focused on the witch trials) and went along well with our visit to Wynott's Wands (the main attraction).

We had an amazing time on the Salem Kid tour! The entire experience was not only outstanding but also incredibly informative. Booking the tour was a breeze, making the process stress-free from the start.
Our guide, Alicia, was absolutely fantastic. She was engaging, knowledgeable, and made the history of Salem come alive for both adults and kids. Alicia was especially great with our kids' questions, answering them with patience and enthusiasm. It's clear she has a passion for what she does, and it made the tour even more enjoyable.
If you're looking for a family-friendly and educational tour in Salem, I highly recommend this one. It was a highlight of our trip! Jay K

My middle school daughter is learning about Salem in school right now, so this was the perfect tour to build on her learning. Alicia is very energetic/ fun/ good with kids and told us facts about Salem none of us had heard before. The amount of walking was perfect for our two kids. Highly recommended!

We took a kids tour with Salem kids. The tour guide was a high school history teacher. We loved how he explained the history of the area without cheesy jokes. He ropes the kids in by asking lots questions and allowed them visuals with pictures he brought along to help understand the time period. It was a nice educational and historical tour and not a kitschy ghost tour. We appreciated this type of tour.

We took our two daughters (ages 6 & 9) and they both had a really good time. The tour was exciting for them and us and the guide was very energetic and made the tour go by really quick. She answered any questions we had and we really knowledgeable about the area. The kids said the best past was learning about the spooky cemetery.
If you book this wonderful experience plan enough time to find parking, we had to run so we wouldn’t be late.
