Rory was awesome! He was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining! Rory took his time to share some really interesting and spooky stories and history of the witch trials. The next time we come back to the town of Salem we will definitely be booking another tour with Salem On Foot! Thank you!

Rory is a super interesting and informative guide. Kept our crew engaged and entertained! We scheduled on a Sunday in October which made it a bit more challenging with the crowds and noise level but we all walked away satisfied from the experience and definitely feel it was time and money well spent.

The presenter was very well informed and enjoyable. He started with the first English settlement and ended with the fire in the early 1900's that destroyed the cotton mills and tanneries and more.

It was a good tour. We enjoyed our time, and learned more than we expected too! We would do it again.

We were very happy with our walking tour. The main reason was our tour guide Rory. He made the tour come alive. You could tell he had a lot of reasearch of what went on in Salem in the 1600's. The tour was an easy walk and took about 90 minutes. There were other tours going on while we walked the streets of Salem, but we feel Rory's account was really Authentic.

A wonderful way to experience Salem, with a knowledgeable, engaging guide. Definitely learned more than we would have wandering around by ourselves, I highly recommend!

I cannot express enough how wonderful this tour was with Rory! We learned so much in the 90 minute tour. I could hear other tour guides as we went along and I am so glad that we chose this one. Rory’s personality and knowledge was top notch, but what stuck out even more was his love of what he does (because it sure does show).

Rory did a great job providing an informative, historically-accurate tour of the overall history of Salem, not just the witch trials. While he does cover the witch trials, it is done in a respectful manner and is well-suited. Overall great tour without the B.S. that we witnessed from some of the other tours going on.

Going to the memorial from the witch trials was very interesting! The history and in depth detail was wonderful. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable.

We initially chose this tour because it advertised that it was a history tour and we thought it wouldn’t be gimmicky like some of the others we found while we were searching. We were right and we’re so happy we booked with Rory! He’s a great storyteller and is serious about history. Rory is experienced and has been conducting tours long enough to be able to be speculative about the “facts” and urges those on his tour to do the same. He spends a lot of time talking about the early history of Salem as well as the infamous witch trials. I would highly recommend going on this tour if you are visiting Salem! I only wish the tour would have been longer than 90 minutes!

We came to Salem to do all of the typical touristy stuff. We wanted to do a scary tour but waited too long to book. We are so happy we booked with Rory! My partner and I minored in history and we’re both attorneys. We learned so much about Salem in those 90 minutes, including what counted as “evidence” in 1692 that got people hanged. Rory kept us captivated the entire time. It’s not much actual walking but you are on your feet for 90 minutes so wear comfy shoes. I’ll recommend this tour to anyone who comes to Salem.
