It was my nephew and my daughter’s first time on a horse and a dream on my bucket list to go on a group ride like this! We had a blast and would recommend it for anyone looking for an authentic Tucson experience!Written December 30, 2024

Overall this was a great experience. The tour leader (Kaitlin) was knowledgeable and walked us through all the steps to properly ride our horse. You get a lot of time on your own horse too, which was a plus. The only thing that was disappointing was that they allowed 17 people on our ride and it took FOREVER to load everyone up and get going. Then, on the trail we were nose-to-butt with the horse in front of us the entire way so it just felt like a moving line. They should definitely cap the group amount at 10 or less in my opinion. We left an hour late just because they waited for stragglers and got them loaded up despite being half an hour late. The sights are worth it though and I would still recommend the experience despite this.

Amazing experience! The only reason for 4, instead of 5 stars, is that they were running about 1.5 hours behind. There was nobody at the stable to explain why or how long the wait was going to be. However, it was well-worth the wait. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the horses were calm and gently. The ride was awesome with amazing scenery. Highly recommend.

The horses were happy and healthy and a pleasure to ride! We har Rolex and Kermit!
Kaitlyn was our guide for the day and she was friendly and upbeat and gave us lots of info about the area, including a recommendation for a nearby Mexican restaurant that was really good!

Unfortunately the unorganized and unfriendly staff, overshadowed what this trail ride could have been. There is so much potential for a wonderful trail ride here at this beautiful ranch. However, the staff showed 0 interest in the customers. We all showed up, and no one was outside to greet us, or talk to us for 30 min. We all were looking for someone just to find the restroom. We’ve been on dozens of rides through out our travels, and sadly this was the most disappointing experience. The views were incredible, the horses were healthy and well cared for. The staff/wranglers acted like the customers were a burden just by showing up. They didn’t ask us our names, and they didn’t speak to anyone unless spoken to.

We went horseback riding in Catalina state park at Rancho de los cerros. The park was beautiful! Lucy was our guide and we were im a group of 6 people. I love horses but am not very experienced. The horses were well trained and used to having riders so I felt safe and was able to enjoy the ride and the view! Lucy did a great job of making sure everyone was ok throughout the ride. I would highly recommend!

Just perfect. Wrangler Ari was excellent. She provided clear, pertinent instructions to all and competently led our group on a beautiful two hour ride.
The horses were sure-footed over the terrain and all mellow and well trained.
The scenery was spectacular.
Everyone, from first time riders to life long horse owners in our group loved the whole experience!
Loved every minute of it.

The wrangler made sure we were safe and all the horses knew the way. That said, the trail ride was a little monotonous, as we basically made a loop over a very similar landscape. That said, for where we were in the Sonoran Desert, it was a nice experience.

We booked online and almost immediately received a receipt and request for waivers electronically along with explicit directions which took us right to the ranch. The people we met there were very friendly. The ranch is just off Catalina State Park, in a beautiful setting. Our wrangler Aria was very knowledgeable and friendly. They asked for height and weight prior to our arrival so they could fit us with the right horse. There were two of us plus one person we did not know so three in the group we went out with. All three horses were perfect. We loved the ride and the company and if we return to the area we will be doing this again at this ranch.

Simple horseback ride , no trotting, walk in line only in Catalina foothills, very picturesque. Guides very knowledgeable and helpful. Ranch is almost impossible to find, maps and google no help. Neighbors have removed signs, which makes no sense. Should have detailed instruction on reservation receipt.
