About
Founded in 1951 by the National Football Foundation, the College Football Hall of Fame immortalizes the greatest of the amateur gridiron. 5.1 million people have coached or played the game and less than 1,300 are inductees in the Hall. This makes the College Football Hall of Fame an extremely selective group of individuals. In 2014, the College Football Hall of Fame opened in Atlanta, a major hub of college football activity, a convention and tourist destination, and home of one of the nation’s busiest airports. It’s a $68.5 million, 95,000 square foot, state-of-the-art tribute to 977 players, 211 coaches, and countless fans. Three floors, five themed galleries and over 50 interactive exhibits, including a 47-yard football field and a three-story wall of over 750 college football helmets, awaits visitors.

Worth a Visit for Big Fans
I’m a huge sports fan and I certainly enjoyed my visit. It has quite the grand entrance and a lot of eye-catchers.

As far as hall of fames go, it doesn’t have nearly the substance of the professional ones I’ve been to (Baseball, Basketball, Hockey, NFL) and the actual Hall of Fame is just the list of inductees and a searchable digital display. By the sheer number of members, perhaps it is not practical to do plaques or busts. They do a good job of putting all the trophies and awards close together and explaining what they are given for.

It is a pricey visit, $25 for adults including tax. I went through it in about 90 minutes.

What a joke. Don't buy tickets in advance because you still have to wait in the ticket line. BS 30 minute plus

We apologize for the frustration you experienced upon your arrival to the Hall. Unexpected waits are never fun. Our RFID technology is a big part of what makes our attraction great. In order to get the most out of your experience at the Hall you need the RFID enabled badge from the box office. This badge not only enhances your experience but allows you to relive the fun afterward by enabling you to download and save all of the pictures and videos you make in the building. We appreciate your understanding!

Amazingly Immersive.
Sep 2020 • Couples
The interactive features of the CFHF really let you immerse yourself. There’s all sorts of exhibits, from stepping into the shoes of an announcer and narrating famous plays, to a stationary simulated 40 yard dash, a mock appearance on College Game Day, to watching stats and video clips of your favorite players from your favorite team. When you walk in, they ask for information that allows them to customize your experience to your favorite team, which is then entered into the badge they give you. Dozens of exhibits will scan your badge and tailor your experience. In addition the staff are excellent: they’re knowledgeable, passionate, enthusiastic and ready to help you maximize the experience.
Example:
Guest: “how're you doing?”
Staff: “well, I’m working at the college football hall of fame, so I’m living my dream!”

Finally: there’s plenty of sanitary stations everywhere and all staff and guests wear their masks, with solid spacing for social distancing.

Way Beyond Expectations
I’ve lived 2 hours away from this for 6 years and despite being a big football fan, I’ve been skeptical that this would be anything more than a huge ad for CFHF. And I’m just not usually a big museum guy.

Well this was one of the best experiences I’ve had at something like this. It’s crazy interactive and is personalized to your fan hood. The VR QB Sim may be the coolest thing I’ve ever done and the 1st floor field where you can toss the pigskin into nets is cool.

And beyond that i was inspired. They have several exhibits where HoFers talk about what football did for them after it was over.

I can’t wait to bring my boys back here when they get a little older.

Fun for non-sports fans
Aug 2019
One of the most fun museums I've ever visited. I came here with my sister because we got the Atlanta CityPass, but neither of us are football fans. We are from Ohio though (I eventually went to Ohio State), so seeing some Buckeyes stuff was cool. The highlights for us were all the interactive games and exhibits. It was just fun! I will definitely return if/when I visit Atlanta again. (I haven't visited since January 2016, but the site won't let me pick dates that far back.)

Lots of touch screens, but also lots of employees with cleaners
Mar 2020
The people who worked here were knowledgeable and so very willing to answer questions or just chat. It was fun to hear interviews with famous players. You can limit your primary interest to a particular college. There were a lot of interactive opportunities for all ages.
It’s multilevel and there is an elevator.
They must have closed for this Coronavirus just days after we went through. With so many touch screens, probably a wise decision,

Pretty impressive even if you aren't a sports fan
Mar 2020
I am NOT a sports fan, but went with my husband, who very much IS. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. If you are a sports fan, this is a must do. If you're not, you will likely be wowed by the excellent exhibits, anyway. It would be great fun with kids, as well. Lots of interactive exhibits. It's high praise indeed for someone like me to give it an excellent rating.

Fun for any football enthusiast
Feb 2020
For a football enthusiast like my teenage son, it was a “must-see” place with interactive exhibits and memorabilia from various college football programs and coaches. It can be included as part of the Atlanta CityPass along with the other attractions which will allow visitors to save some money.
