The tour operator has provided the following answers to customers’ questions.
How does the Atlanta Indoor Skydiving Experience work?
A vertical wind tunnel has fans at the top to draw air through the flight chamber and then push it back down the sides. The air is then compressed & sped up before it reenters the flight chamber causing a smooth column of air that enables you to fly.
    Answered May 2021
How safe is the Atlanta Indoor Skydiving Experience?
The unique design of the wind tunnel, with its wall-to-wall air column, along with certified and highly-trained instructors, allows you to safely enjoy your flight. Your instructor is with you the entire time regardless of your level of experience.
    Answered May 2021
    What is a Wind Tunnel?
Very simply, a wind tunnel is a machine that moves a lot of air. A vertical wind tunnel moves air in a vertical column at speeds high enough to keep a person safely floating.
    Answered May 2021
How early should I arrive for the Atlanta Indoor Skydiving Experience?
It is important that you arrive on time for your scheduled session. Your experience will begin promptly upon your arrival so please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early for your reservation so you have time to check in.

      Fun for the whole experience
This was just so much fun. My son ,10, and I flew 5xs with an added high-flying experience. I would absolutely recommend this add on. So cool. Our instructor was named Corbin and he was awesome. He was easy to understand and had a great personality

      Never again!
Arrived 17 minutes early and was turned away. Apparently you need to be 20 minutes or more on arrival. But the facility does a poor job of making that known. We went back and looked and sure enough that was written but not obvious. There have been so many people who have had this issue too. And…. They run over 45 minutes late for every appointment. Not a fan at all. Our waivers were done online as well. The people at the desk were rude. Customer service is 0! Terrible experience! They can keep the 150. I think that’s what they count on.

      Taking flight
Fun experience for people who are in shape with no physical impairments. Must be under 260 lb. You will only get two to four times in the Wind Tunnel but it is worth it. Daughter did it. I watched.

Fantastic Flight at iFly Atlanta! It is a great choice for someone who doesn’t want to outdoor skydive but wants to try something like it. Sham was a great instructor! Best advised if you do two flights and include the High Flight package for a great deal. The first flight will give you a chance to get a hang of flying and the second will let you test out what you learned the first time. Definitely a must if you have an iFly facility near you or if you are visiting Atlanta.

      Great Fun
Kids just loved it, Very safe for both COVID-19 and for the people who want to try and fly. Make sure you call and make reservations. Even though is short , the kids enjoyed every second of it.

      iFly is a YES!
Went to iFly with my nephew, we had an excellent time. Lots of discounted rates available, however, beware they will try to up-sell you when you get there. That said, I suggest that you add video/ pictures (you wont regret it). Instructions were clear and after the first time it was easier. Therefore, i would suggest getting a package that allows at least 4 flights...the usual deals only provide 2 flights. Great time !

      Great Experience
I went with my son to iFly Atlanta thinking there is no way I’m doing this. My son talks me in to jumping too the whole time I was terrified. When it was my turn I went in I almost changed my mind last minute, but the guy was there guiding me. I was so busy following the hand signals and trying to do it right that I forgot to be scared. When I finished I had a feeling of accomplishment because I did something I feared and it was so much fun!!! This was a great experience my son loves iFly. The activity is a little pricey so I won’t be participating everytime. Appointment are required. Warning: Adults if you have back problems or shoulder/neck issues I do not recommend this activity.

      Much fun, but be prepared
We took our daughter and two friends yesterday. They had a blast and the staff is great. Facilities are awesome as well. Only reason I say beware is because when we bought the tickets to do this, we bought them for a 6pm reservation. We were told to arrive early which we did. Once there we were told to hang out and wait until 6:30 at which time we would be called to begin the process. Was kind of a buzz kill to have three teenagers just sitting for what turned out to be about an hour. We also purchased the picture package for all of them. Thinking we would get a picture of them flying. Nope. You get a voucher number to go home and download a picture. I can take and download my own pictures. Their pictures were not even that good to be honest. To overall a great experience. Just maybe take some tailgate snacks and hangout with your family in the parking lot while you wait and take your own pictures. No need for the picture package.

      Fun, Fun, Fun
This event was family time, not something I looked forward to, but it turned out to be lots of fun. The guide gave good directions and made it easy to do. Knowing that I was never far from the floor helped. A couple people in our group took the high fly option and enjoyed that too. Very much a fun family excursion.

If you ever have a chance to go, then go. So much fun and my teenager had a blast. I don't know why we waited so long. I may have to go back when my hubby goes.

      EVEN FUN FOR SENIORS
My wife and I are in our 70’s and late 60’s and are planning on skydiving next month in California with our children .... IFly was a great first step... not the real thing but a great simulator... Our instructor, Hector, was wonderful, caring and very reassuring for our whole class.. Only one small issue, our start time was delayed by over 45 minutes due to a large number of folks scheduled ahead of us... No big deal, but time slots allocation process may need a review.... thanks so much to entire staff

      Awesome!!!!
I went here 3-15-19 with my daughter and I didn’t know what to expect. Just knew wanted to try it. Our instructor was very knowledgeable , but also a lot of fun and a cool dude. He was able to relax my daughter and she was able to overcome her fear. When I left purchased additional minutes because enjoyed that much. Great experience and my next is jumping out the plane.

Something you just cant do anywhere - time with family on a new experience that none of us had tried before - celebrated 3 birthdays with time together instead of a bunch of presents. Highly recommend, friendly staff!

My son has wanted to do this for a while, so our family went to celebrate his birthday. We called 2 weeks before and had our pick of reservations on a Saturday. We had a party of 6. We wore masks the entire time, but when you go in the waiting area immediately before flying you tuck them under your chin strap. When we first walked in we signed in and got weighed. We then waited for our instructor. He gave us our suits, helmets, goggles, and earplugs. I also couldn't get one of my rings off, so I had to wear a gardening type glove on my hand as to not scrape the glass. He brought us in a room and gave us a quick run down of how to hold our heads, arms, and legs. He also showed us a few symbols that he might show us in the tunnel to change our positioning for which I immediately forgot most of. He has worked hi for a few years, and he seemed very seasoned. Our group had a fairly easy time during the short time ( about a minute and 30 seconds each flight). He was able to let go of us a lot. We bought the 2 flights apiece with the high add-on for the second flight. We watched a group before us who seemed to have a lot of trouble, and their flight instructor never let go. We got video and one picture included. We followed the instructions on a paper they have us. I wish all media was included instead of having to choose only one of each. Following our flight, our instructor went in to show us his really impressive moves. He was definitely an expert. He had many smooth tricks and stood on the ceiling effortlessly. After that we got our certificates. This was a fun experience, but it was kind of pricey for short amount of time. I am very glad we tried it.

Overall, we had a great experience. We came here to celebrate my Daughter's 16th Birthday. The anticipation was worse than the actual flight itself. I enjoyed it but guess I was expecting more of a thrill. Our instructor (Rafi) was great and showed us all a good time. I'd come back again for a more personalized experience and more flight time.

My son and I recently tried out iFly for the first time. My son is 10 and absolutely loved it. I am 51, so while it was enjoyable, it did leave a slight body ache. The instructors are really incredible and very much help you to relax. I probably would not do it again, but I'm quite sure my son will ask to go back. If you are looking for something "thrilling" to do without committing and entire day, this is it!

The customer services was terrible! My 12 year old son got left out right before his team was going to enter the cylinder. I had to go ask one of the team leaders if he was going to fly. The gentleman's attitude was far from inviting and cordial. They basically overlooked my son and put him in the front of the line so he could be the first to fly. Then, after I received my credit card bill I was billed twice for the flights. Apparently when I booked on their website, I was booked for 2 reservations instead of one. I was not asked when checking in with my son to confirm the reservations for 2, when they saw I only had 1 child. I called and left a message and never received a return call. I had to call once again and finally spoke to 3 or 4 different individuals. I was basically told I booked 2 reservations and I would not get a refund for 1 of the reservations. I would not recommend this event due to poor customer service and the unwillingness to help a customer. I am in the customer service business and have ALWAYS presumed the customer is right no matter what if you want the business! There are always exceptions to every rule!

This sounds like a frustrating experience. We pride ourselves on our world class customer service and we're genuinely sorry you feel you didn't receive that. Oftentimes our customers book multiple packages to get more Flight time, or sometimes one person in a group backs out and the other uses their Flights, so a person flying on a reservation meant for 2 is not abnormal for us. Unfortunately you noticed the issue quite far after the experience where the service had already been provided. We have put multiple measures in place to ensure our guests know what they're purchasing and how much they're paying including showing the quantity and total amount to be charged multiple times during the checkout process and sending confirmation emails with the quantity purchased and total charged. Even though the experience cost you a bit more than you were expecting, we hope the smile on your son's face while flying made it a little bit better.

Misrepresented experience which is only 3-4 ft. Must pay more to fly higher. Front desk rep was rude and manger not helpful. One rep name Cameela was professional. We were essentially forced to fly bc they refused giving us our money back ($225)

Misleading on the whole experience and initial pricing. Looking at the pics, you may think they fly you at some decent height. No where it says that the initial pricing covers hovering at like 5 feet for 2 minutes. Then they upsell you to go to 15 feet.

Hello, we pride ourselves in providing world class customer service, and we're so sorry you feel that way! Indoor skydiving is a unique experience and difficult to compare to other activities. We do have to keep flyers within a safe range or distance from your instructor as you are learning to fly for all of our flyer's safety. This would allow you to fly within arm's reach on your instructor about chest level to them. Our goal is to teach you how to fly on your own. We do offer our high flight feature as an add on, as some of our guests do not wish to fly higher. We do so in order to allow everyone to curate their flying experience. We're sorry if this had an adverse effect on your experience. Thank you for flying with us and providing us feedback!

My niece and I happened to have a coupon for 2 people for 4 minutes each and a high flight. However, we were told the coupon was only for 2 minutes each. No high flying. The people were super nice and it was a marvelous experience. Very exciting and fun. However, they kept trying to upsell us. At one point we said no to the high flying experience due to cost, then after our individual minute flight, our guy Raffy ? Sp said this time we’ll go up high ok? What do we know, we said yes. After we were charged $42 for the high experience. Yes it was fun but felt it was kind of deceptive. The experience sells itself, cut out the pressure sales

Had a great time. Our instructor Hunter was cool. Unfortunately they had a couple of power outages that day so we were not able to do the high fly but still the experience was a lot of fun. My wife was like a kid and laughed the whole time flying. I did make the mistake of finding IFly on TripAdvisor and figured I was getting a good deal through them only to find out I over payed by $40. Go directly to they're site to book your visit ! Thanks for nothing TripAdvisor ! I wont be booking anything through you again! IFly even offers a bigger discount on another visit, but you have to buy it that day. We got ours and will be catching more air in 2020.

I have done this 2 times. First about a year ago and it was fantastic. We paid the extra amount for the really high flying experience. The flight instructor in the tunnel with me was a strong athletic man who got me in the grabbed hold and off we went really high several times. It was great. My second visit a few weeks ago was terrible. We paid the extra amount for the really high flying experience, all good. The flight instructor was this little petite woman half my size. Didn't think anything of it. I weight 250 lbs. Went into the tunnel 2 times and just floated about 4 feet off the screen floor. After my second flight the little petite flight instructor women said "I do not feel comfortable taking you up high sorry" I was in shock. Basically this was an un-qualified flight instructor who really wasted my time and money. Very disappointed. Especially since we pre registered on line and I entered my weight. This is a real problem because we drove an hour to get there. I was not the only 250 lb guy there that day and they were denied high flight too. I find it totally rotten to have flight instructors not qualified to handle the big boys. So make sure you ask about this before you book your flights. They did voluntarily refund my money for the high fly option, that was good I did not have to ask for it. But it was not about the money, I have lots of money it was the lack of qualified flight instructors.
