About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Spreadeagle20140 contributionsExcellent Charleston private tourAn excellent 7 hour private tour. Jon was very knowledgeable and great company. We packed a lot into the 7 hours. Jon was really knowledgeable on the historic houses with plenty of background knowledge. The visit to a plantation was the highlight. We went to Boone Hall but you can choose. Being a private tour you can do as little or as much as you want. Thoroughly recommend.Written October 2, 2024
- Spreadeagle20140 contributionsExcellent Savanna private tourWe did the 7 hour Savannah tour with Bill. He is very knowledgeable , friendly and helpful, leaving us with tips on where to go and eat etc for future days on our trip. We saw a lot, best was Tybee lighthouse. As a private tour he will gear it to what you want to do and see. Would recommendWritten October 2, 2024
- stacylW9780PY0 contributionsGreat Overview of SavannahGreat tour that gave us a nice overview of the city, its most beautiful highlights, and its history--we learned a lot! When Bonaventure was closed due to Hurricane Helene, our guide pivoted to show us more of the coastal areas of Savannah, which was great to see.Written October 2, 2024
- Dee Anna M0 contributionsWonderful visits with a wonderful guide!Wonderful tour with Andy. He showed us a ton of places by and we enjoyed the history of all of them. Lunch was amazing. - Dsmergs890 contributionsWe were the ones who livedGreg was an absolute joy to spend the day with. My wife and I are huge TWD fans and this trip was a big bucket list item. Senoia was having a big annual car show, so the regular route was limited. However, Greg still made sure we were able to see everything and more! If you are a fan and want to see more of ATL and the surrounding areas, this is a must! Thanks Greg!Written September 22, 2024

- Odyssey485529037310 contributionsA must do tour!!One of the best experiences we had while visiting this historic city. The Atlanta tour is a must do. We had a wonderful tour guide in Francesca who knew all the best sightseeing spots. Plus, she was very knowledgeable regarding the "movie business" that is an integral pert of Atlanta (think Walking Dead). Great job, Francesca! Thank you for making our stay even better!!Written September 14, 2024
- Getaway334638230890 contributionsFantastic ExperienceI had a great time on this tour. I learned so much about the locations where the MCU movies were filmed. I also had lots of fun. Our your guide was very knowledgeable and thoughtful.Written September 10, 2024
- 789loryb0 contributionsHad a wonderful time! This Savannah private full day tour with Andy was wonderful. Andy made Savannah's past come alive and merge with the present. The tour was fun, informative, intriguing, fascinating, moving. Seeing the Bonaventure Cemetery was a poignant journey. It was also a treat to venture to the Fort Pulaski National Monument and Tybee Island light house and ocean pier. The sites and stories and the history and the art and the architectural and natural beauty shine as Andy weaves you through time in a knowledgeable and meaningful tribute. It was so relaxing as everything was taken care of and you can just soak in the experience. Andy makes you feel comfortable from the beginning. A marvelous and memorable day that I highly recommend!Written September 9, 2024

Chris was my tour guide for this 3-hour tour, "From the Civil War to Civil Rights" (it was not on the list to choose from, just the VIP tour, which I did NOT do.)
I've lived in Metro Atlanta for 28 years and, other than for some events, have rarely been downtown. Some of the things that Chris showed me had been there prior to that, but I wasn't even aware of them (like Ansley Park right behind Peachtree Street.)
I was also not aware of Cabbage Town, Inman Park, and the Krog Street Tunnel, nor had I been to Little Five Points before. In fact, I didn't even know there was a regular Five Points and a Little Five Points!
There were many new buildings and areas I had not realized had changed so significantly. A lot of new structures were present. There were many areas I had previously visited, and the new construction amazed me.
Because of the weather (cold and rainy), we stayed in the car, and Chris drove to extra locations including Atlanta Station and he explained about its history. Since I live here, I can always revisit places that interested me.
Altogether a great way to discover more of the local area I live in.

I planned a last-minute tour while on a business and my guide was great. She listened to what I was interested in seeing on my 1 afternoon in Atlanta and arranged everything around that perfectly. We walked several of the greenways, saw the Martin Luther King memorial, local street art, and she explained a lot of Atlanta history while visiting gravesites of those that contributed.

Our experience with DTours was a very average tour experience at best. Our expectations were to actually go inside and view facilities during the tour instead of only driving past them. The tour guide was very knowledgeable however our expectations for a more engaging tour experience was not a take away from our trip.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry the tour did not meet your expectations. Our custom tours are designed to be exactly what the customer requests so I'm sorry if we fell short. I'm not sure which facilities you are referring to (again since the tour was custom) but with the exception of World of Coca-Coca, Georgia Aquarium, and CNN Center we are usually able to arrange entrance with most tours. Please feel free to contact us directly so we can better serve you and our other customers in the future.

Melinda did a terrific job of customizing the tour to our exact interests. We saw so many different neighborhoods of Atlanta and she explained the history, architecture, and culture of each one. Obviously, we drove from area to area, but we were able to park and walk around quite a bit also, as we like to do. It was so informative, and fun. Although I had done a number of the museums on my own this tour really enriched our visit. It was a definite highlight.

Dan was a great guide. We were taken on a tour of the city and able to stop off and visit the places of interest we chose. We were never rushed.
Dan's knowledge of the city, civil war, civil rights and right up to the present day was outstanding. He made it so interesting we could feel and smell the situation.
I would recommend this tour to everyone.

We only had the one day in Atlanta so we wanted to see as much as we could in that time period. Derrick was right on time and took off to show us places where movie and TV shows had been filmed. When we expressed an interest in history he took us to places that had some historical significance including the Martin Luther King center. He also took us to the art district right in the middle of a section of Victorian homes where there is over a mile of wall art. When we expressed a desire to go back to Olympic Park for some pictures he obliged and we got the perfect selfie. I would highly recommend this tour if you have limited time in the city.

Atlanta was a great get-a-way during the Thanksgiving holiday. If you grew up during the Civil Rights era or just want an undiluted education on what really happened during that time, go to the National Center for Civil and Human Rights. They showed a great film. Now, the film was in terrible condition and I have written several letters/emails to the appropriate people shaming them on the poor audio quality of the film (horrendous buzzing) but the film was powerful and moving as was the museum. It was cool to see Ebenezer Baptist church and the surrounding neighborhood. This was ground zero for a lot of important civil rights events and leaders. I learned so much more than I did from my public education. MLK and his wife are also buried across from the museum. We chose not to take a formal tour and did our own thing. There are many great restaurants in Atlanta some historically tied to the civil rights movement while others are more indicative of Atlanta's growth and maturity. The Aquarium was a great experience. Definitely select a down time to go in order to enjoy the full experience. The Coca Cola museum was fun. We really enjoyed the High Museum of Art. It is worth a 2-3 hour visit. The Jimmy Carter Presidential Library was also worth the visit. You see the context of his presidency within American history, what he accomplished and his lingering impact. in terms of hotels, I would encourage boutique hotels and stay away from the Hilton and Marriott. Consider taking the Marta train from the airport to your hotel - it's fast, very affordable, convenient, and much more interesting than an expensive taxi ride. The Botanical Gardens were still experiencing some Fall foliage and strolling through the park was very relaxing and a beautiful experience. If you do a Spring visit, this is a must! The CNN building was disappointing as it has not re-opened its stores/operations since COVID. On a future visit, I would probably do the zoo, Stone Mountain (during a down time), and the Capitol building downtown. There are many cool parks- Centennial is the easiest because there is so much around the site but, there are many others to choose from. Mary Mac's Tea Room was very good and represents true southern cuisine. The service and food quality were excellent during Thanksgiving week.

Hi, Is it possible to do the tour if its just one person? I will be traveling for business and would like to tour Atlanta.
Written October 10, 2018
How long is this tour for? Just 2-3 hours? or can we do say a 5 hour option so that we can see as much as possible within one day in Atlanta?
