Southern Beer Tour was the perfect activity for our bachelorette trip! We wanted to have a set activity, but wanted to still be able to socialize with each other and relax. The bus picked us up from our brunch location, drove us to three different wonderful breweries, and then dropped us back off. Everything was so easy and organized. The company was easy to get in touch with. We even had one person drop out of our group a week before, and she was refunded her amount with no issue! Highly recommend this activity!

I bid on 4 tickets at a charity benefit so took 3 of my friend’s for a fun day. We traveled to various breweries on a comfortable bus. We were given goodie bags that included water and some crackers and a few other treats. We had A great timesampling local brews. The sampling’s were generous...by the end of the trip I was giving tickets away. Well organized and fun!

Southern Beer Tours did a great job at organizing a very fun day! It was easy to park at the Taco Mac lot and the registration table was visible and we were greeted warmly. We could see right away that our guides had a sense of humor and that it would be a fun tour. The bus was comfortable, but it didn't seem like we were on it for very long. We started at Sweetwater and had a tour there and a pint. There was time to get extra beer for anyone that wanted it. One brewery tour is enough and I give them credit for only doing that part at Sweetwater and not making us take a tour of the other breweries. We then went on to Monday night and Red Brick where we could get a pint (or two) and just relax. The guides were very knowledgable about the breweries and the beer and made good recommendations for all of us. As the tour went on, the people on the bus loosened up and there were some funny moments. I live in Atlanta and would do this tour again and bring people from out of town. It was a very fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon and it felt like the time flew by. Take this tour! It was a great time.

We attended the Beer Tour with Brent as our guide and had a great time. The bus was comfortable and after having a few beers at the stops it was good none was driving! We visited 3 breweries and had ample and generous samples at each place. Each brewery had a number of beers to select from. We got sample glasses as well as a bottle of water and some crackers. A fun way to spen d an afternoon. Brent was cordial and friendly and took great care of us. Well done!

This tour had such potential. But fell short.
We did the Brewery and Braves tour. We understand that some things need to get ironed out because of the I-85 closure and the new ballpark location. But my SO and I felt things went wrong despite these issues.
1. The email updates did not always match what was being expressed on Facebook. They moved the time of our meeting at Taco Mac to 230pm. An hour earlier. Ok. No biggie. We are easy going. And then an email went out about getting there 10 minutes early. However, we see on Facebook they recommend to get there 45 minutes early because buses will leave as soon as they fill. First come first serve. So, we tried to get there as early as we could. We got a spot but both buses didn't leave until well after 245pm. They didn't know how to get to the Brewery through the back roads apparently.
2. No introductions. I didn't know who was in charge. No formal announcement of names. Nothing. Come on guys!! Make this a fun experience!! Tell us your names. Give us some background on the brewery we are going too. Something. Nope. We just got on the buses. Waited to leave. Then we were off to the brewery. We didn't get to know many of the other people on the bus and we LOVE meeting others.
3. Get off at the brewery. They just hand us a glass with tickets and tell us to have fun. Then we are mixed in with everyone else that is there. I thought we would mingle with the folks on the bus. I wanted to make this a tour with a whole big group. Get to know each other. Hard to do that in this setting. So my SO and I just got on line, got our drinks. Never being at this brewery, I wasn't sure where to go. Wasn't sure if they were going to give us a tour. Wasn't sure if we were all going to hang as a group. It was SO disappointing as I have been on other tours that are FAR more interactive than this one.
4. We get back on the bus. I liked their text updates, but why not tell us the plan before we even get to the brewery. Say when we will need to meet back (time and place). We also didn't know we could have gotten one more drink at the brewery and taken it on the bus. So much was left unsaid on this tour!
5. They gave us a sandwich and chips when we walked on the bus. Yum and greatly appreciated! Had we known this though we would have grabbed a drink before getting on! We thought we were getting food at the ballpark (which we eventually did as well!).
6. We get driven to the stadium but are delayed because they aren't sure where to drop us off (where the bus drop off/pick up is). This is inevitable given a new stadium! So, totally understand that. This actually upset a lot of people, but not us. We get it!
7. The baseball game was great. We LOVE baseball. So we have fun regardless. But why not block off a section of GA for the group. We could all sit together and have fun. And even if others want to venture off they can. But there was so much potential here as well. They just dropped us off and told us we could sit anywhere before certain sections. Ummm...ok. So we felt we were doing the "tour" alone. Just so odd!
8. We met the bus back. The whole 30 minutes after the last pitch we will leave without you thing...ya no! But try to be on time. They did a great job getting us back as quickly as possible.
9. Parking!!!! We parked in the garage thinking they would validate our pass. Nope. $14 extra dollars to park because we didn't know and we wouldn't have known where to park otherwise...being unfamiliar with the area.
Regardless of these things, my SO and I had a nice time. But we felt this tour really missed the mark. That of perhaps we just did not understand how this "tour" truly worked and had higher expectations for the price we paid!

Thanks for taking the time to let us know what we need to improve on. I apologize for not hitting the 5 star experience we strive for.
A lot of the issues you described have been addressed by retraining our guides. There should have been an introduction. There should have been more direction. I believe we have taken the steps needed to make sure this does not happen in the future.
Additionally, we have changed bus companies right after this for their lack of preparation for the back roads around I-85 and taking wrong turns into SunTrust park. This was already in the works previously as we want to make sure we are always teamed up with the best in the City!
We have also streamlined our time information. With this tour, we announced we would start check in 45 minutes early, since we had 80 guests. The bridge collapse is less than 2 weeks from being repaired and will alleviate some of the pressure on this as well.
And finally to address the group setting at the stadium and brewery. The brewery and baseball game were both at capacity. We try our best to keep a grouping if possible, but with the crowd sizes this day, it was an impossible feat. The only way around this would be for us to sell reserved seating instead of general admission, but that would be increase in price.

We had family in from out of town that wanted to visit a brewery. I found this tour and thought it would be the perfect way to see more than one brewery in Atlanta. It was absolutely wonderful!! Very informative and a great way to see Sweetwater and other breweries to find your favorite! I would definitely recommend this group to friends and actually we are already planning another trip with them.

Loved everything about this tour. We went to Sweetwater, Red Brick, and Monday Night Brewing (all amazing!). Justin was a very organized, knowledgeable, and fun guide! He made sure everyone was taken care of and having a good time. We had a private room at Sweetwater and no waiting in line at the other two breweries. Definitely recommend for anyone who loves beer and would like to see multiple breweries in one day(safely!!). This tour is great for groups, couples or even going solo. Will definitely be doing this tour multiple times (actually going on the Brewery and Baseball Tour April 15th). You won't regret booking with Justin and Southern Beer Tours!

I've been on a couple of these tours now because they change the breweries and not only does the owner really care about his guests on each tour, but he makes it a priority to talk to every guest. This tour offers behind the scenes, getting in to some breweries before they open. Everyone on the tours end up becoming friends. It's a one of a kind experience without having to worry about anything other than getting the tickets before they sell out and getting on the bus. Definitely recommend it to put it on your list if you're in Atlanta.

They are smart to do the pickup/drop off at Taco Mac at Lindbergh - you can go get some food and give yourself plenty of time after the tour to let the effects wear off!
But the tour itself is really low maintenance. We had probably 40-45 people on ours ranging in age from early 20s to 60s. Everyone on the tour is there to have a good time so it is very upbeat. We went to three breweries - Sweetwater, Wild Heaven and Three Taverns. You can absolutely go to them on your own and save a few bucks, but the incremental $10 that you're paying to be on this tour, on a bus, with someone else worrying about how to get there, where to park, (am I ok to drive?), makes it a lot more relaxed.

We worked with Justin to design a custom brewery tour for our Atlanta office staff that would be fun and safe. We decided to hit two breweries (Sweetwater & Red Brick) and then have a nice dinner. Justin accommodated our request, and picked out the restaurant for us, The Big Ketch, in Buckhead. We also wanted Justin to pick us up and drop us off at our office in Duluth. Our goal was to have a great time and keep it safe - by hitting two breweries (rather than three), then having dinner and the drive back to our office on the bus giving time for the alcohol to work out of our systems so we all would be driving back to our homes safely. We had 11 team members on the tour. We had 5 hours together in the van, at the breweries and at dinner. This was the most downtime together away from work we have had in a long time. We got to know each other more personally and had a fantastic time at all three stops, and even on the van riding to and from. Justin's knowledge of the breweries and his total commitment to our happiness, safety and satisfaction guaranteed the success of this event. I highly recommend Southern Beer Tours-Atlanta to any individual, and especially to any corporate group looking to have a great time building memories together in a safe and relaxing way. Great job Justin. Thank you! Jeff L. Harrington, CEO.
