#11 of 49 Boat Tours & Water Sports in Las Vegas
- BrendaLikes2Travel00Great Kayak trip! Our guide was really knowledgable! We LOVED that we weren't expected to load or unload the boats. Seriously. I have done SO MANY kayak trips where we are expected to load unload, wipe out, etc. I have come to expect it.... so when I learned we could "help carry stuff to the water" but they would handle the boats and all that, I was overjoyed. Would def book with them again!
- BasBannink00The highlight of our trip to Las VegasThis trip was absolutely amazing and it exceeded our expectations! Gabe took us to all the nice spots and he shared so much information during the trip. He really made the difference for us. For people who want a bit more than the average Emerald Cave trip, this is a perfect next step (Emarald Cave is included too btw). Thank you for having us!
- CrayonCards00Stressful and embarrassing ~It all started out okay, but then after a lunch break, they would not allow a break or leisurely paddling. The guides claimed that we had to be back or we would miss the truck! Now I am being rushed and THEN told that I was going too slow. This was supposed to be fun, and got icky. One guide offered to tow me. I declined. The next guide tied my kayak on to his, against my will, saying we have to hurry to not miss the truck! How ridiculous and embarrassing to have to be tethered so this guy could prove how macho he was. I paddled non stop. Horrific. When we got to the truck, there were all kinds of people not back yet, and the truck did not leave for another hour! I could have paddled in leisurely for the last hour of a meet at 6:30am. It did not have to be a sprint at the end, as if it was a race with some kind of bet to come in first and check the time! Nope. My paddle adventure was ruined by this rushing when there was no reason to rush. Nope. Took the fun right out, as these guides had something to prove at my expense. July 10th, 2023.
- patmckee62400June 25th Black Canyon trip with our guide LukeWe had an amazing day. Both my wife and I are novice kayakers and Luke made our day very enjoyable. His knowledge of the area, wildlife and river was amazing. We would recommend him and the rest of the Desert Adventures team to all levels of experience.
- Lilinoe b00Amazing 5 star experience. I took my mom who is 78 and it was by far the highlight of our Vegas trip!Highly recommend the trip from Hoover dam to willow beach! Did a double kayak with my 78 year old mom. Clear, emerald, beautiful water! Tour guide Antonio was genuine and thoughtful and enthusiastic. The whole team from pick up spot at hotel to customer service on the phone was fabulous. Highly recommend! Was highlight of my trip too and I don’t think I could have had this experience with any other company. I saw the competition while there and these guys are the best :)
- davidhC1909FD00Amazing adventure and work out!Venture tours were amazing- nice job EJ ! 12miles of spectacular scenery, couple of waterfall hikes for 70+family were challenging, but the hot springs and views were worth the effort ! Expert friendly knowledge about the area made the trip one we will never forget!
- Alex_Cho_211200Ring Bolt Overnight Kayak/Camping TripIt was an awesome trip kayaking and camping, on the Colorado River from the put in at the base of Hoover Dam to the take out at Willow Beach (2023 JUN 28 - 29). I've used Desert Adventures before and I would ABSOLUTELY use them again. Very professional and friendly. The guide, Sara and the guide in training, Holmes were wonderful!
- ginazupo00So much funThank you for making this a great time. Antonio was informative, friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. This really mad the adventure extra fun for my 76 year old mom. She really enjoyed kayaking.
- EmilyR334200A must-do!My husband and I enjoyed the most amazing full-day kayak with Gabe last week and we haven't stopped talking about it! The scenery was incredible - big canyons walls, clear green water, natural hot springs and Bighorn sightings. Gabe was professional, respectful, patient, caring and extremely knowledgeable. He made our day extra special. We hope to come back and complete a 3-day tour in the future! We highly recommend this tour!
- leilalV9433MT00OutstandingMy husband and I got the couples package. The surroundings and activity itself were truly amazing! All our contact with any of the staff were good. But our guide Gabe, outstanding, he made this adventure even better. He went above and beyond. His knowledge and thoughtfulness made our day even better. I would highly recommend and definitely ask for Gabe!!
- JackSilb00Ask for Gabe! - Awesome - adventure, exploring, great guide / chefOne word "WOW". I have a reasonable amount of experience with 30+ years exploring around the US and abroad. I did not expect a Chef hidden inside the knowledgeable and easy going guide. Gabriel (Gabe) exceeded my exceptions. Memories for every now. I recommended Gabe if you want a "me different" experience with great food when you need the most. Moreover, I can't think of anything he forgot to bring + spare. THANK YOU!
- Pioneer4157467919100Gianni and White Rock Canyon is the best trip on Trip AdvisorWonderful Trip with our gifted guide Gianni to White Rock Canyon and the Hot Springs. Gianni made the trip interesting and memorable for us by his knowledge of the plants and animals of the area as well as the canyon. What a difference it was to have a guide like him to accent the natural wonders of the area. We basically had him to just my wife and myself and it was one of the best trips we've been on in the area. Great communication before the trip and at our pickup. Highly recommend it.
- susankbarrnyc00Great scenery and knowledgeable guide in White Rock CanyonWhite Rock Canyon is a lengthy hike through breathtaking scenery. It is moderate difficulty - most people should be able to do it - but it is long and the last part to get to the hot springs is a little tricky with a few narrow, rocky and some times wet and slippery areas.. Best to bring water shoes to change into so your hiking shoes don't get wet. Plus the hot springs have a gravelly bottom that is painful to walk barefoot on. Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable. The lunch was substantial and tasty.
- Alexander G00Awesome trip!I did the 3 day/2 night trip we me and my 2 teenaged kids. We has a blast! Beautiful scenery! Great scrambling! Amazing hot springs! Our guide Luke was awesome!
- U9137EVbeckyg00Breathtaking views! What a beautiful place to tour!! This is 100% proof of God's great design of nature! This trip was the highlight of our time in Las Vegas. . We thoroughly enjoyed rock scrambling and seeing all the petroglyphs. Our guides Neil and Jacob had so much great information to share about the Valley of Fire. The food provided was very delicious and fresh. We would definitely do this tour again!

Luke and Flip were excellent guides. They made our ride fun. I think they were as excited as we were when we rode over the dam.
Lunch was good also. I really enjoyed eating in the park and seeing the herd of big horn sheep.

I can't believe I forgot to write our review when we returned in Oct from Vegas.....but like they say, better late than never. My husband and I totally enjoyed our day of cycling from Boulder City to Lake Mead & through the tunnels to Hoover Dam. It is a fairly easy ride with only a few hills to climb. The views of Lake Mead were awesome. Hoover Dam is a must if you have never been. Tom was amazing, helpful and informative. Everything about this company we experienced was very professional right from our pick up at hotel in Vegas. A company vehicle was waiting for us at the top of Hoover Dam to drop our bikes off. Then we walked a short distance to Hoover Dam where we enjoyed our lunch that had been waiting for us in a cooler inside the vehicle. When you think sandwiches, nothing that great BUT we have to admit the sandwiches were delicious. There was only one other person on our tour so we had a little more freedom and were able to walk to the new bridge which has amazing views of the dam. Would totally recommend this cycle excursion. One other thing. We have rented bikes on many vacations and these are the best bikes we've rented. They were newer bikes and kept in very good condition.

Had a fantastic easy bike ride to the Hoover dam, only a couple of very easy hills to climb with the majority all down hill, if you want an off the beaten track visit to the hoover dam this is your trip, stopped off in lots of places getting a different view. Seriously worth the money and time.

Our guide, Antonio, was like a real life ‘Sherpa’. And believe me, we needed his skill, knowledge and instinct. We chose the bike ride without ever considering the potential extreme temperatures. We set out at 8:30am on well-equipped bikes. The ride is mostly downhill and flat but there is one incline that will get your attention. I walked it as I needed to ‘pace myself’ with energy exertion. The ride meanders over all kinds of different surfaces, none of which were difficult to negotiate. There are varying gorgeous views of the mountains and Lake Meade from high above. The tunnels we road through were impressive and full of history. Our guide was impressively informative. We learned a lot about the history of Boulder and the process of building the dam. We took plenty of water breaks and we had plenty of extra water thanks to Antonio. On a side note, we arrived at desert adventures with a flat tire on our rental car. I decided not to worry about until after the outing. When we returned to Desert Adventures in the shuttle van, IT WAS FIXED!!!!! Customer service you ask? Outstanding!! Antonio had arranged for it to be fixed for us. When I say he was a good guy, he took GREAT CARE OF US! We enjoyed the ride very much. Next time we might choose spring time instead of summer but, ah what the heck, it made for a better adventure. Oh, and the dam, well that kind of speaks for itself but having a PRIVATE GUIDE TO NARRATE YOUR TOUR AFTER A 15 MILE BIKE RIDE, PRICELESS. The lunch is the real deal. Very delicious sandwiches with a fruit, veggie with dip, and a huge cookie for dessert. No complaints whatsoever. There you have it. We would definitely recommend this adventure as our family of four (57, 52, 17 and 16) enjoyed it very much. Thank you Antonio and Dessert Adventures.

Hi there,
Wowza! What an adventurous day you had with Antonio! Thank you for the amazingly kind words. What can we say, we love our guests and want you all to have a great time. We will share the love with Antonio and Joe, our warehouse manager that changed your tire for you. Both are truly good guys and we are proud to have them on our staff.

At the end of April, myself and my wife went on the mountain bike tour of Lake Mead & Hoover Dam.
Day started off with our tour guide for the day, David, collecting us from our strip hotel and bringing us out to start our tour in Boulder City, about a 35 min drive from the Strip.
We loved the quick little tour of Boulder City, with David providing some really interesting facts about the history of the area, streets and buildings. From there we arrived at the shop, and after a quick stop, left again to travel just 5 minutes up to our starting point. What followed was hours of amazing views, experiences. Majority of the trip is downhill, with some fast sections for those who want a bit of a thrill. Plenty of water and snacks were also provided. We spent time in the Lake Mead visitors centre before heading up the old trail, taking us through tunnels with crazy beautiful views of Lake Mead. Along the whole trip, David was amazing, his knowledge of the area and of the flora, fauna and history of the area is brilliant. By the end of the day, David was more like a friend than a tour guide. So easy to get on with, we didn’t want the day to end! Would thoroughly recommend this trip and recommend David as a guide. Was amazing to see the area by mountain bike, and even better to be shown around by David. Paul and Michelle, Ireland!
