    Doleful captain’s narration
While the Phillips website and office in Anchorage were helpful, the actual cruise had some disappointments. The 26 Glacier tour to the Harvard Galcier is efficient and comfortable with adequate inside seating in the rainy overcast weather we experienced. Getting close to the glaciers is impressive. Less so was the delayed and disorganized boarding and the rather doleful captain’s narration. That narration, over several hours and focused on glaciation, never once mentioned climate change or global warning as a factor in glacier recession/regression/retreat. Alaska’s climate is changing more rapidly than most places, which was mentioned in almost every other tour or experience in our two weeks there, but Phillips seems oblivious. I am pretty sure this was the captain and not a park ranger, so we may have been shorted.

    Good Big Box Store Experience
Unique collection of glaciers! Where else can you see 26 glaciers in a single cruise?! We stopped at three locations and had ample photo opportunities. Also, this is the calmest cruise you can do, which is important to us, as my wife is highly motion sensitive. She was okay after taking Dramamine an hour before the tour. They guarantee no “sea sickness” but they make a distinction between that and “motion sickness.” I am not sure whether the distinction is medically defensible, but we decided to chance it. On the downside, it is a big ship that was packed. Everyone is seated at tables, often sharing with others. Food consisted of a bowl of clam chowder, a cookie, a bun, and coleslaw. It was good but not really filling. The line up to buy things can be long and at times you have to wait for the restroom. The narrator/tour guide is knowledgeable but not colorful, so you get a lot of facts that are not always easy to retain. In sum, if you are in Anchorage and want to see a lot of big glaciers and do not have access to smaller ships or jet ski tours, this is probably your best bet. But expect a bit of a Big Box Store experience.

Views are breathtaking. We saw sea lions, seals and a bunch of otters. The glacier calving was a highlight. Well run. Hot chocolate chip cookies. Dress warm.

    Glacier Tour
We stumbled on this by chance. Had a great day. Crew were super friendly and helpful including our park ranger who was excellent with the kids . Glaciers were spectacular. Unfortunately no whales today but it was a worthwhile experience which we would recommend

    Long but cool
Boat was clean, not over crowed, seats were comfortable, crew was friendly and fun. The boat departed late and extended our time on the water so we were shorted. Take the travel tips seriously about making the Whiter Tunnel (sooooo coooool) you don't want to miss it. There isn't much to do in town so no need to arrive overly early to explore. Glaciers were neat to see they are so massive, its hard to fathom how big they are. The high point for me was being able to see Orca Whales!! We saw a bunch of wildlife while out which was a nice bonus. Food was just good, but choices weren't great.

    Glaciers, Glaciers, Glaciers!!
As promised, this cruise tour takes you around the fjords and inlets of Prince William Sound. Having taken the Glacier Quest Cruise previously, this time we opted for the 26 Glacier Cruise. We were fortunate to see a lot of wildlife (no whales, to the chagrin of my sister) and saw some impressive calving of Harvard Glacier. The weather was on our side, too - dry and mostly sunny with enough overcast for the glaciers to really look blue. A nice way to spend the day exploring with ease.

    Overall meh
For almost 6 hours and expensive as it was it was pretty meh. Didn’t see anything special. barely stopped. Was too wet, cold and windy in July to fully enjoy. Could only enjoy when it stopped which was only like 4 times. Staff was nice, narration by park ranger was nice but scenery wise it was meh.

If you come to Alaska for the glaciers and don't want to hike, do this instead
Close up view of the glaciers from the comfort of the vessel. The lunch was nice, but could have some more variety. The guide was outstanding, giving us lots of anecdotes and scientific information. Getting there and back is a bit of a pain, since the tunnel is open every hour. We left early to catch the 10:30am tunnel release so that we would be able to check in an hour in advance, and the earliest tunnel release we could catch going back was 7pm. You can park on site for $15 and walk around town before and after.

A great glacier cruise. No seasickness whatsoever.
Loved this cruise! It was one of the best things we did on our land trip in Alaska. We were apprehensive at first because we all have a history of getting sea sick. We went on a calm, rainy day but we never felt the least bit sick. The vegetarian chili and the sides were very good, a very pleasant surprise. We self drove from Anchorage to Whittier. I highly recommend this glacier cruise for anyone traveling in Alaska!

    Alaskan Beauty
Simply beautiful! Truly amazing experience. Definitely worth the time and cost. As an Alaska Native, I was disappointed that some of the historic narrative was a bit misleading. But the view was amazing and I enjoyed it.

    Glaciers and Wildlife. Fantastic
Nice way to spend an afternoon seeing glaciers and wildlife. The boat ride is smooth, so not much chance for motion sickness. Bald eagles, sea otters, loads of glaciers. No whales this trip. It was rainy and cold but still worth the trip. A park ranger provides the commentary and he was excellent. They even had a junior ranger project for kids who received a patch at the end. Enjoyable for all ages.

Great way to see glaciers and wildlife in Alaska. Beautiful scenery, Very friendly staff, decent food and great narration along the way by a park ranger. The staff scoop some of the glacial ice out of the water for you to touch and taste. Highly recommend!

no any stop for scenery view, instead, spent around 40 minutes extra to pick up and drop off guests to a hotel.
no clear instructions when getting off the coach heading to the cruise, many people didn’t know they should get the boarding passes before getting to the boarding line.

Dear Dianna, Thank you for taking our coach service from Anchorage. As you noted, we made an additional stop in Girdwood. We find these two stops are the most efficient way to provide transportation to guests from various hotels or VRBO's in Anchorage and Girdwood. The ticket portion of the Viator/Tripadvisor site contains information indicating that all guests must check in once they reach Whittier to get the boarding cards. We will review the text again and remind the coach drivers to point that detail out to future guests. Thank you for cruising with us. Safe Travels.

Our cruise ship had just taken us to College Fjord the day before so I worried this tour might be repetitive. I was so wrong!! We were able to get SO CLOSE to the glaciers. And we could stop for the wildlife. It was incredible!! Absolutely worth it.

Thank you for highlighting one of the reasons so many guests step off their 7-day cruise and join us to get up close to the glaciers and wildlife. The views of the glaciers and the wildlife from our boats are something you can't get while on the bigger cruise ships. Safe travels!

Horrible company. 80 year old lady couldn't walk unassisted during boarding and had to goto hospital. The company refused to refund the family. Offered to refund 75% for one person to transfer to a hospital and expected the rest of the family to go on the cruise.

Go to Seward. Family oriented companies out there.

Magnificent trip. Do it!
Btw, I had concerns about motion sickness. They proved to be unfounded, as this wonderfully designed, large catamaran sailed smoothly at 35 knots.
Was not an issue, fortunately.
My only critique, if you could call it that, was that our assigned seats had us facing the stern of the ship. Not much one can do about that; that’s just the luck of the draw. I spent a deal of time standing/walking during the 6-hr. trip . A minor point in the big scheme of things.

One of the most amazing sights you'll ever see. Like rolling back the clock 5000 years to see glaciers reaching the ocean. Didn't realize tour was 11 hours long but still worth it.

Thank you for cruising with us. A quick note for future travelers, the cruise portion is 5.75 hours. Whittier is 63 miles south of Anchorage, and it takes 1.5 hours to get there from Anchorage. With transportation, check-in and the cruise, reserving a day to add this incredible experienced to your Alaska vacation is recommended.

This was the best shore experience of our cruise. This company's small catamaran gets far closer to glaciers than the big cruise ship possibly could, and was able to get to the narrow scenic inlets. The food was very good, if not quite Michelin-star flashy. Warm chocolate cookies out of the galley were a very nice touch on a cool trip. The guides were excellent and gave enough information to be informative, but not so much as to feel pedantic or boring.

Yes, this trip is not cheap - but neither is anything else in Alaska. It was well worth the cost.

One more thing: the company management is clearly customer-focused. I lost an item in the waiting area for our boat trip, and Lisa and others clearly went out of their way to see that I got it back.

In sum, this trip offered in one 5-hour mini-cruise the things that people go to Alaska to see: varied wildlife, beautiful mountains and fjords, incredible glaciers, delicious salmon treats, and very friendly people. Getting the trip on the one really nice day of our bigger cruise was a nice bonus!

Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful review. We are so glad you took our tour to see the glaciers and wildlife up close with us, even after being on the big cruise ship for seven days. I'll share your kudos to our team in Whittier who found the item that was left behind and brought it to Anchorage. Their care and attention to detail made this a success! You should receive the item in a few days. :) We hope to see you again! Safe Travels. - Lisa K.
