- leecN1007HG00Great small group photo tour.Great photo spots and lots of them in a small group for photographers. Personable and photo expert tour guide in Scott the owner. Picked up on time and the salmon burger for lunch was amazing. A fantastic day out taking photos.
- Alohakaren500Beyond expectations!!Scott, our guide, was very knowledgeable and eager to share what he knew about the places we visited. His commentaries were relevant, interesting, and went beyond the typical descriptions. His small group made the experience seem even more customized. We visited places that are typically on the tourist stops. I would recommend this tour for anyone wanting a small group experience with a guide who truly loves what he's doing and loves to share Alaska with visitors!
- chrismC4966CC00Fun even on a rainy dayScott's love for the area helped make a rainy day of photography lots of fun. The stops were well thought out with no sense of urgency. We stayed at each stop as long as I wanted. Scott went above and beyond to get me to photo locations I would not have found on my own. One of the best photography tours I've taken anywhere. If you are going to be in Anchorage, this tour is a great way to visit Whittier which is a unique place as well as catch lots of photo locations along the way.
- eagle111111100"Photographic Memories"As a world traveler, I found this tour to rank as any that I have been on. As an avid photographer, I was challenged by Scott to not just enjoy the ride, but to become more aware of what I do as a photographer. Also, he seemed to know quite a bit about Alaska. All in all, we shared our trip to Whittier while capturing both photographs and memories along the way. This tour was probably the most relaxed I have ever encountered. Scott also seemed to know those hidden gems where other guides would be so envious. If you want a day to chill and enjoy nature, this tour by far is for you!!
- Deborah B00Awesome photo op!Scott took us to a lot of places and we got some awesome photos! Took the time to help us get the best shots. Was patient and very experienced. He shared a lot Anchorage history too.
- 836brinaa00Best tourScoot, was beyond great. He went above and beyond on our tour! He was very knowledgeable and friendly! The best tour we have took throughout our stay in Alaska. We got to see a lot of beautiful hidden areas and uniqueness such as the tide coming in. He made sure we enjoyed everything on the itinerary safely even with the rain.
- Arber2300Stunning scenery, glacier, and an incredible tour guide, what are you waiting for?A fantastic tour with a knowledgeable, open, funny tour guide that give his utmost effort to show you the most picturesque areas. But this isn’t just about pictures my friend, no, you will have fun hiking to the Matanuska glacier, and you will learn many things along the way. Having taken a number of tours in the area, this tour is the most thorough in showing you the best most beautiful and hidden places. Book it and don’t think twice about it.
- Diana M00Fantastic!!!Book this tour!!! You will not be disappointed! Scott is a walking encyclopedia, and knows all the best spots for photo opps. My husband and I enjoyed great conversations with him and go home with the best picturesque memories. Scott, thank you so much for being such an amazing guide and going above and beyond for us. You have a fun free and kind spirit! -Diana & Luis
- Abdulraouf M00The best tour in AlaskaThis is the best tour i had during my visit to US and Alaska, the reason because of the tour guide himself, Scott is not just a normal tour guides who provides a normal tours, he is a professional photographer who loves the nature of Alaska so he will enjoy doing the tour as much as his customers do thats why he didnt mind to spend more hours with us and didnt rush us during the stops. He also took us to amazing places with fantastic views. Thanks a lot Scott we really enjoyed the tour and took amazing photos. I hope in the future we meet again and do the northern lights tour. Best Regards, Abdulraouf.
- Mischa S00Best tour guide on earth!!!Hi Scott, Great thx for your tour. You are a such great lovely helpful guy!! I really appreciated it!! Mischa

We weren’t able to enjoy this tour because the weather didn’t want to cooperate. But Scott kept us updated and waited until we had no choice but to give up hope before cancelling and processing our refund. He gave lots of context and resources showing what he was seeing in the weather and how it affected our likelihood of seeing the aurora. We will try again!

Scott was an AMAZING guide. Unfortunately the weather conditions changed last minute, so we didn't have the lights bright all over, but the photos on the camera are CRAZY.
Really cool experience.
Next trip to Alaska, I'm going to book this tour again!

Tour guide Scott has excellent experiences and knowledge about northern light and also taking photos. He works as a professional photographer so he gave the guest some advice to take good photos. We moved to find the place to see northern light by his driving. it was a small group with five people. During waiting, we stay in the car,so we don't have to wait in the cold outside to find norther light. This tour is my best memory.

Cannot control mother nature however, the drive with Scott was well worth it. He’s very knowledgeable and passionate. He took good care of us, making sure you were warm, hydrated, and comfortable. Even though I didn’t get to see the northern lights as well as I hoped, now I have a reason to come back to Alaska. I will definitely recommend Scott and his company to all my friends and family. See you on my next trip Scott! You are awesome!!!

Absolutely amazing! We lucked out and had a fabulous light showing even with the moon out. The pictures were all wonderful. Scott took some great pictures with his professional camera and share with the tour group. They were amazing and cannot wait to print and frame to display in my home and office. I highly recommend. I already have family and friend asking for details that I will gladly share. Thanks Scott for the great tour!

It was a fun night had by all of us. It is great fun to share first time experiences with people as myself was like a kid in a candy store that night as the lights were so fantastic. We lucked out and nature showed us its glory. Like I said before I will say again, I hope our paths cross again one day!

The trip with Scott, the sympathetic guide, was well organized. The conversation during the ride was interesting and he provided food, drinks, covers and even music during the waiting time. However, keep in mind that you should have realistic expectations. During my tour, the view of the lights wasn't as impressive as in the most famous pictures of northern lights (colors, waves, etc.) because it needs a really high Kp index (major geomagnetic storm). But as the Kpi forecast was rather bad for the nights during my stay, I decided to simply give it a try one night. I was able to see some activities in the sky but it was actually all black and grey and during few seconds (The Kp Index was around 4 with some clouds during that night). And as the lights were above our heads it was impossible to take selfies with the lights behind us for instance (as you can see in some seductive advertisements for this kind of tours).
The only thing I can recommend is too choose a night where the Kp Index (aurora strenght) is high (more than 5) and the sky is really bright (cloudless). But this kind of situation during the fall and the winter time (period to see the northern lights) can happen only once or maybe twice in a month (good Kpi associated with a good weather): it's quite RARE! So: hopefully there is one night like this during your stay in Alaska. (The guide looks for the clouds radar and will ask you few hours before the tour beginns if you still want to go if there are many clouds. But I think it is also important to know - approximately - the kind of visions you can have considering the level of the Kpi and knowing that the position of the lights is unpredictable because no one tells you this.) Good luck!

Scott took me on tour to see the northern lights. This is definitely the tour guide you’re looking for! He does extensive research before hand to determine the likelihood of seeing the northern lights which he explained to before we even left Anchorage. At the sight, the scene changed exactly as he had explained with the clouds eventually clearing up the skies to expose the Milky Way! We waited 4 hours in total - shows his dedication! Because the moon was out the northern lights showed up, but was not bright. At 2:30 we had the brightest sighting which was amazing! Scott took some professional pictures which he shared with me. This trip was definitely worth it. I am very grateful!
