The tour was awesome never seen anything like this before, the tour guide Megan was very knowledgeable and friendly, took her time to show us and explain the phenomenon of the glaciers

Wow you would think cruising up close and see glaciers is a bucket list, wait till you walk INTO the glaciers and listen to the rich stories provided by Bill our excellent guide! You meander through the crevasses and discover different scenery as you journey into this easy 1.5hr walk (which flew by too quickly because the scenery is simply breathtaking!) WE LOVE IT SO MUCH! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was the most amazing experience! Dana really knows her stuff and provided a great experience. This tour is with experts who know the area, the Aurora behavior and they are phenomenal photographers! It was cold (wear double socks and bring extra hot hands warmers for your gloves and socks!) but tolerable and worth it! The guides understand the science behind the auroras and, if you stick it through, after snacks and naps the light show will leave you speechless! Thank you Dana for an incredible experience!

Best tour ever! So much prep and assurance by Steve & Chris (the amazing guide who brought us) and the result was an amazing aurora show! The technology they used to ensure the best experience possible. Tip: give them the range of days you’ll be in Anchorage and they will find the best night to bring you out for the tour - because they are so good at reading the forecast, you are in good hands! Greatland Adventures delivered the most amazing adventures we could have dreamed of; the Northern lights were amazing, and Dana, our guide made it an even more memorable experience with her knowledge and enthusiasm; not to mention the most amazing natural light show I’ve ever experienced. Jonathan was awesome on our Turnagain excursion with decades of knowledge shared, and far more sites than expected; a truly gorgeous trip. Finally, Bill, our Matanuska Glacier guide was a delight. He was extremely knowledgable and super friendly with a vast enthusiasm for his work and a true love of nature and Alaskan history; the glacier is a must visit.

Better than expected! Guide (Tia) was knowledgeable and friendly. Very communicative about pick up times. Lunch was great. But obviously the best part was the glacier! Super glad to have someone else drive us too, road was a bit sketchy. Truly beautiful though, so glad we did this!

The views were breathtaking and our guide was 5 star! Thanks Tia for your wealth of knowledge! We highly recommend this trip for all ages.

Tim is a very good guide and teacher, under his guidance I got great shots of the aurora and learned to spot them on my own! No worries if you don’t have heavy coats to stay in the outside all the time, it’s ok to stay in the van cause the brilliant guide will never let you miss the aurora! However, as many have said, the aurora is not as dramatic to the naked eye as it is to the camera, so it is more recommended for those who want to take pictures and share them!

We did a private glacier tour. Our guide was great and shared all sorts of interesting information with us. We were picked up at our hotel in a nice van and driven to the glacier. We then explored the amazing ice. It happened to be a beautiful day and exploring the glacier was just a ton of fun! One amazing beautiful thing to see after another! Both of our teens loved it including the hard to impress one. This is an adventure walk vs hike if you’re concerned about that. A highlight for us!

Great tour! We chased the lights and were finally successful. Guide was perky and funny- just what was needed for an overnight tour. Dress warm in layers and bring a pillow!

Moving forward, I will only recommend Greatland Adventures to anyone wanting to see the Northern Lights in Alaska. They take such a refreshing approach to viewing the Northern Lights from the passionate attitudes of the drivers and the guides to the atmospheric chemistry mind of the owner. This is truly their bread and butter and they dedicate hours of their day to make sure that you have the best experience possible. We went in Anchorage and we had both Dana and Aaron as our guides (Dana for 2 nights and Aaron for 1). Honestly, their excitement made the standing outside in the cold more like a team effort. They were awesome and their photography skills were AMAZING for those creative shots. Initially, we booked for three nights in a row because we were so nervous that we weren't going to see it in Anchorage. We definitely searched and had to escape some cloud coverage, but we saw them every night. When we tell people that we saw the lights three nights in a row, they said we were lucky. We said it was all the tour company. This is the place that you want to book. Also, the owner Steve is tremendous and his knowledge in atmospheric chemistry gives this experience a whole new meaning. Just a beautiful blend of a majestic scientfic phenomenon. Just do yourself a favor and book with them. The whole experience is incredible and you won't regret it.

We had an amazing experience with Greatland Adventures! Jacob was very easy to work with on the day of the tour to confirm all necessary logistical information. Mike was a great tour guide whose energy and passion was contagious! It turned out the weather was just right to visit their dedicated viewing location in Fairbanks, which really made the experience magnificent. Luckily, Mother Nature put on a great show for us the night of our tour. The service of Greatland Adventures made the night all the better!

This was not what I was expecting when we signed up for a freezing hike. The trip was sooo much more than that and we highly recommend it. The guides were absolutely amazing and full of knowledge. I feel like we got to see a side of Alaska that most people will unfortunately not get to experience without a tour like this. 10/10 recommend that people take this tour.

Bill was so nice and very knowledgeable. He made us feel comfortable and safe. He took opportunities to teach us about the glaciers and took his time on the hike knowing my husband was a post-knee replacement.
