Matt was an excellent guide took a lot of time to show us and tell us all about anchorage ! We made a lot of stops for some beautiful photo opportunities and even a walk in the rain forest.
Glacier tour was the absolute best we were so close to the waterfalls and the glacier 100 percent recommend taking time to enjoy the experience.
The wildlife park is up and coming worth the visit just to see the bears and buffalos and Matt knew the history on how they all came to the park!
This was a great tour and the information he provided makes me want to plan a separate trip to explore this area! Drive alone is just breathtaking!
Thanks Matt perfect end to a fantastic trip with the grandson!

We got incredibly lucky on this tour, in a number of ways. First, we were the only ones on the tour for the day. Second, and more importantly, we had Matt as our guide. He grew up in the area, and has done a ton of exploring on his own. He knows, loves, and respects the area, and it showed. Because it was just the 4 of us, he was able to spend extra time with us, providing exceptional insight into each of our stops. Because of his insight, we saw Dall Sheep, Moose, Beluga Whales, and several eagles in the wild. The Glacier part was exceptional as well. In fact we saw something they hadn't seen in 10+ years - A moose at lakes edge. They weren't sure how she got there (probably swam) but she was there. The Glacier was amazing, as was it's story. At the conservation center, Matt was relentless in finding the bears, trekking back and forth over trails until he found them for us to see. This tour was worth every penny, and in large part due to Matt. Book this, and request Matt, and ask him about Moosin'.

Since this was my first time in Alaska, there were a couple things on my list of what I wanted to do. Seeing a glacier was on top of that list. This tour was highly recommended, and I chose to go with this one. Our tour guide and bus driver from Anchorage, Chris, did an outstanding job telling us various facts and answering questions we had. He made the trip that much more with his personality and knowledge.

The glacier experience was incredible. The scenery was breath-taking!! We did not see any calving of the glacier, but we could see numerous icebergs floating in the water as a result of recent calving. The waterfalls along the way were fabulous as well. This is a must-do!

The tour ended with a stop to a Wildlife Preserve. This was an added bonus to the tour as we could see many animals native to Alaska, some of whom were rescue animals being nursed back to health.

Our tour guide, Matt, was amazing and made this tour one of the highlights of our trip. He was a wealth of knowledge and made sure everyone in our group had a wonderful day. Matt was excellent at pointing at the best photo spots and always offered to take everyone's pictures (an important item in my book!) We enjoyed being on a smaller tour vehicle and appreciated the extra scenic stops as time allowed. This a beautiful area of Alaska and should not be missed!

Our tour guide Matthew was amazing! We ran into some outside issues on the tour and he handled everything with safety and care. The tour consisted of a wide age range and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves! Getting up close and personal with the glacier was a memory never to forget. 10/10 recommend this tour for anyone looking to learn a lot, soak in the natural beauty of Alaska, and see lots of animals!!!

This tour is worth every penny. If you’re looking to see multiple parts of Alaska, this trip allows you to see so much. Our tour guide Shawn was spectacular and filled with fun facts. Our group was small, so he let us get out for special photo requests or answered all our curious questions. Wished he could take us on more tours. We went to beluga point, the conservation center and took the portage glacier boat tour. I am gobb-smacked at how gorgeous Alaska is. You just need to see it in person to believe it. This tour is worth every penny and a great way to spend even a cloudy and rainy day.

Thank you Shawn!

This was a really nice tour, but I was very uncomfortable because there was no masking requirement in the full shuttle, and we were the only ones wearing masks. This was after the CDC recommendation that vaccinated people wear masks indoors because the Delta variant is so easily transmitted. I was surprised because the other private tour operators I’d used on the trip had required masks. This made it hard for me to relax and enjoy the day.

Yes unfortunately the city of Anchorage does not mandate mask requirements nor does the Governor of the State of Alaska. Until they do we can not enforce a mask mandate. Most tour operators are not requiring mask as well.

We had a beautiful drive along the waterway. It was a cloudy and somewhat rainy day but it did not really impact the view of the glacier. Our guide was informative about the sites as well as the history of indigenous people groups. We visited a zoo more or less for rescued wildlife. That was pretty interesting.

I took a tour with Matthew on a last minute whim and was not disappointed. He knew seemingly everything about the wildlife, history, and culture around us, keeping the entire bus engaged the entire trip. We saw incredible views and the wildlife center was a great end to the trip. He found a way to keep every customer involved in the trip by asking questions and finding ways to relate the tour to everyone's individual life experiences. Cannot recommend this experience enough!

Our driver “Old Gary” (yes he told us to call him that) was such a treat! Seriously. He was friendly, helpful, and super informative. Just top notch. He’s a talker and answered all our questions happily. The glacial tour was the highlight for me, though the animals and scenic Seward Highway were also great! We did this little day trip for our 5 year anniversary and it did not disappoint!

A few tips:
Bring bug spray, sunglasses, and sunscreen! And definitely your camera!

I use a manual wheelchair and am also ambulatory for short distances. Some parts would have been really difficult to get to had I not had my cane too. The glacial boat only had stairs on the way to the top deck, so if you’re unable to walk, you can enjoy the views from the bottom deck through windows.

The scenic pit stops along the road were a bonus! They were gravelly and can be accessed about 80% of the time with a manual chair if needed. Some had stairs and really wasn’t accessible so I used my cane. Couldn’t make it to the stairs, but our tour guide warned us ahead of time and was kind and thoughtful, giving us a few options. The conservatory we enjoyed mostly by driving around and taking videos of the animals from the shuttle which was fun since Gary narrated fun facts for us the whole time!

If your wheelchair is motorized and not easily folded up, or you’re not somewhat ambulatory, this would be a really difficult tour, I think. However, if you are a bit mobile, it’s truly an unforgettable tour with the most scenic views ever. It’s how we spent our anniversary and last day in Alaska. A great way to experience a lot of Alaska in a short period of time!

P.S. “Old” Gary is the best!
