Center of Seattle’s LGBTQ community for years, "the hill" is vibrant, inclusive and delights with small independent shops, booming nightlife and attitude. We will learn about it's history and visit one of Seattle’s oldest parks with great views of the Space Needle. Along the way, we will check out a few of Seattle’s best book stores, some great record shops, sample locally made ice cream and confections, enjoy the best espresso in the city (in my opinion!) and see some of the most famous bars and live music venues in the city. This is a great way to plan your weekend agenda while in town if nightlife is your thing. These are the places I take my friends and family when they visit, I'd like to share them with you.

Lynn is a very energetic and fun guide and she will take you to the interesting local neighborhoods for history and cultural lessons. Expect to walk a little, but you will also get a chance to take photos from the car. We would definitely recommend this one if you are visiting Seattle. It will give you some insights on the local vibes and it will feel like you are hanging out with your auntie/cousin who is showing you around. The tour is about 3h. Lynn suggested neighborhoods that were at the top of my list. We got a flavor for each neighborhood, and learned how populations had shifted over the years and changed some of the places. I enjoyed seeing the longtime favorite locales, especially in Capitol Hill. Lynn went above and beyond expectations, and even squeezed in a visit to Gas Works Park. She was up to speed on local events happening the day of our tour to include a stop at Ballard Locks Fish Ladder where the king salmon were abundant and amazing to observe. We communicated in advance to share our family members' individual interests, and she tailored the tour to accommodate. It was the perfect start because I really wanted to see grunge-related places and she was excited to exceed my expectations. Lynn is super smart and shared knowledge that was relevant and interesting. I loved every stop including the quick stops for fantastic pics. Easy Street Records was a must-do and she pointed out so many more cool things that I would have missed. She allowed time for my purchases and for an ice cream. We saw things we didn’t even know existed. Everything was enjoyable and we especially enjoyed Lynn’s knowledge of the area and her recommendations for things to do on the remainder of our trip. On our trip in Seattle we wanted to take a different tour that we had not already done. We chose to take the Capitol Hill tour with Lynn and oh my goodness are we glad that we did. She is such a wonderful tour guide and extremely knowledgeable on everything Seattle. I would love to just sit down with her and hear all of her stories from living in the city. She is such a fun person to be around and I highly recommend this tour if you love Seattle and want to learn more about the wonderful city and its history!

The tour and Lynn (the owner) were great! It was like visiting an old friend who knew a lot about the city. We saw a lot of things we would have never found on our own. She knew a lot of history about the Capitol Hill neighborhood and experienced its many changes. Very down to earth. Coffee and water were a nice touch as well as the narwhal balls at The Unicorn. Would definitely book a tour with her again! Fun and relaxing experience.

excellent excellent tour! Lynn is fantastic guide and this tour was amazing. Thank God I happened to find this tour. Lynn is history major and knows a lot about the history of Capitol Hill and all the stories about the buildings, stores, pretty houses and all other events in this area. I learned a lot about the real culture of people in Capitol Hills~!
I just made reservation for Lynn's another tour in Georgetown and Alki beach. I am excited to have another great tour tomorrow. I wish more people (including many Koreans) also come and join this tour to know better about the towns.

Capitol Hill tour was great! Lynn knows so much about this I learned about awesome (diamond in the rough) places there that I had not visited before even though I had lived on the Hill for for 13 years. Even the places I had been before I got to see through new eyes due to the inclusion of history about the places we visited. The whole tour was relaxed but not too slow, and I loved that we got to ask so many questions due to the small tour size. An excellent experience and I can't wait to go on other tours to learn more about the city I already love!

I went on the Capitol Hill tour with Lynn and I have to say Wowza this girl knows what's up! I picked that tour because I used to live on Capitol Hill, but my boyfriend had never experienced it. Well I soon realized on the tour that neither had I! She immediately brought us to Vivace, which I was very familiar with, but she recommended a drink that I have never heard of, which is now a drink that makes me want to go back to Capitol Hill! Then she brought us all over different areas that I never thought to go and showed me an amazing history that I never knew. Then we went to some of the local bars, but still she schooled me with really cool facts that I never would have known! Seriously the most amazing tour, that I thought was just going to be for my boyfriend. I highly recommend!!!

Can anyone from this Neighbourhood in Seattle or perhaps a Visitor whose been here tell me what Hotels (Not Air B and Bs or Bed and Breakfests/Inns) are close to the Gay Area (Capital Hill) or equal distance to to Capital Hill and The Downtown Waterfront? Thank You.
