    Super over-priced drinks
I've visited before but it has been almost 13 years. I didn't realize the formal revolving restaurant was gone. I missed it on this trip. There's a bar and pie place but not the same. More room for more people I guess. Note that two San Pellegrino's cost something like $18. Crazy. Used the City pass for quick entry but it was dead on a Weds morning in Feb. Great views. Fun elevator ride. Huge gift shop.

A Few Tips About the Space Needle
There has been over 69 million people that have traveled to the 520-foot Observation Deck. The 45 millionth visitor received two free trips for two to Paris—You may be lucky to be the 70 millionth visitor! Going to the top is one of those iconic must do activities—at least once—while visiting Seattle. We would recommend that you wait to buy your ticket the day of—praying for good weather. We went on a cloudy day and missed the seeing Mount Rainier and Mount Baker views. We also recommend bundling your ticket with viewing Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibit nearby. We thought visiting Chihuly to be as exciting as the Seattle Space Needle. The glass displays are incredible. If you ever been in the foyer of Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, you know what we mean. Built in 400 days for the 1962 World’s Fair, the elevator up only takes 43 seconds going 10 mph. We went early in the morning and the crowds were less. My wife has claustrophobia and was able to tolerate the elevator ride. There are numerous plagues of information. Large glass windows will allow you to see 360 degrees around. There is a ticket available to let you to go up in the day time and later at night if you wish. The SkyCity Restaurant at the time of our visit was not open. We did experience the Observation Tower rotating one mile an hour. It rotates once every 45 minutes. We recommend taking the Bainbridge ferry from Pier 50 and seeing downtown Seattle and the Needle at night. For only $10 dollars, it is the best deal in Seattle. The Hyatt House Seattle/downtown is one of the closest hotels to the Needle. It is a decent 3-star hotel with breakfast. A number of the rooms we found have views of the Needle. Space Needle gives citywide views
You go to the Space Needle because it's one of our country's iconic views. You stay an hour because it's fun. Outdoor platform and glass floors for the bold, comfy chairs indoors for those who can't handle being 600 feet up. Several free selfie cameras to access via internet. It's busy, but not overcrowded. Cheaper before noon. Nice gift shops.

    Too crowded
Overhyped. Great views from the top but price and crowd made the trip here exhausting. Long lines to get in. It was good for a one time adventure but we won't be going again.

    Iconic space age building
What an iconic building - there's plenty of information downstairs and then you can walk around on the upstairs viewing deck, which ever so slowly moves. After also being to Willis Tower in Chicago on our trip, don't expect the views a more modern taller building will offer, but I feel if you're in Seattle you need to visit this iconic, of-its-time building. My only issue is that there is glass/plastic up on the outside decking area too - it was raining when we came so it means you really couldn't get many decent photos due to the rain drops being on the barriers; best to try come on a sunnier day if you're more flexible on timing than we were. You can also get a combination ticket with the Chihuly Garden and Glass, which is well worth a visit.

    It’s good
I went during the night. The view was nice and I thought that it was a cool experience. The revolving glass floor was my favorite part.

Poor value for the time and money cost
We bought a ticket for a scheduled entry time. We still waited over an hour is a crowded line. The site has poor crowd management, nice but ultimately unhelpful staff. A completely frustrating experience. Not worth the cost.

Best apple pie ever! Spend the money and the time to just enjoy a world icon! Went on a Monday morning the views were amazing the glass floor is so much fun and to be able to fall back against the glass barrier is insane! Staff very friendly! Lot of fun and tick of the bucket list

Incredible views on a clear day
Is it pricey? Yes. Are the views incredible? Also yes. It was a beautiful clear day when we went and while I was a bit too nervous to spend much time on the exterior, the interior still offered stunning 360 views. I also liked that you can walk around with some local craft beer. I’m not sure if that’s new or not as the last time I was here I was ten.

    Night views
You can go during the day, but I think it is even better to visit during the night. The sunset and views of the city lights at night are worth it.

    Great view point of Seattle.
We went on the Space Needle before we toured the Chihuly gallery and garden. We got a combined to both . It was daytime when we went up and views were a bit grey (the November weather) but still spectacular. Visited the lower viewing area where you stand on the glass floor and look down from the needle as it rotates around. Great experience!

    It's the Space Needle!
How can you not visit the Space Needle when visiting Seattle? You can walk from the main downtown area and it's a great area to see. Views from the top are amazing! Yes, it's a bit pricey and not something you do many times, but if you've never been to the top, do it!

    So much beauty!
Works so beautiful, they took my breath away. Self paced walk through the museum and garden allows the viewer to enjoy each display in their own time. Theater shows multiple videos of different periods in his life. Very interesting!

It's been quite a number of years since I visited the Space Needle. It's not cheap, but we had a fantastic time visiting. My 7 year old loved it. The revolving glass floor (which I do not remember from last time) was really fun. Be sure to go early to avoid the crowds. We were there before 10am and by the time we left it was much more crowded than when we arrived. If you're going to go to the Chihuly Garden, you can buy a combo ticket that saves you money for both attractions at the Space Needle.

We decided ahead of time to stay in Seattle 1 day after our Alaskan cruise with Royal Caribbean. We had never been to Seattle so this was a great opportunity to maximize our time sightseeing. My #1 to do was the Space Needle but after speaking to another cruiser I was encouraged to include the Chihuly Garden Glass Museum for a combination pass but it wasn't cheap at $60 pp. The website stated before 11 am is cheaper. If I had known this I would of push myself to go directly from the cruise ship instead we opt to nap and took the LINK to the Monorail arriving at about 7 pm. The ticket salesman suggest that we complete Chihuly Garden Glass Museum 1st because the last entry was 8 pm and we would have more than enough time to review the Space Needle which was closing at 11 pm. The garden was moderately crowded with enough space to take a pic and selfies semi-uninterrupted. I had seen some of this art displayed in the Grand Foyer Casino in the Bahama but it was all hanging from the ceiling. It was amazing to see such beautiful blown art up close. It was extremely crowded at the needle so you had to be patient as you wait for the best area to sneak an unobstructed pic of Seattle Skyline or a family photo. The restaurant is no longer there but you can buy light snacks and finger food to munch on while you enjoy the view. The best part was the panoramic skyline view of Seattle and watching the sunset as the sky changed colors before your eyes. The only thing that could have made it better would be seeing it for a discounted price, LOL.

This was the best start to our weekend in Seattle. The Chihuly museum was phenomenally beautiful, and the Space Needle (just steps away, literally), was so cool. The staff was very helpful -- I recommend getting a timed ticket because of how busy it can be. If you need to change the time, do it in the glass museum. We spent about 2 hours total at the museum and Space Needle-- perfect amount of time. Must-do in Seattle!

Built in 1962 for the World Trade Fair Seattle hosted, this engineering masterpiece is still going strong and delighting visitors (us included). We had a “blue sky day” to enjoy it and our ticket was a combination with the glass sculpture garden. Both of with we enjoyed. When we went it was quiet and on a busy day the vast number of people all trying to get the one shot they want could prove a distraction as the star is the view. Having said that there is a limit on the total number of people allowed at the top of the Space Needle at any one time.
We pre-booked our tickets for a 10.30 time slot, but got there early and asked if we could change the time of entry. No problem said the attendant and we went straight up. Pictures from the top show how much we enjoyed it, plus some pictures from the glass sculpture gardens. Fabulous day, well worth the money and friendly staff. A word of caution:if you don’t like heights avoid the glass ceiling that also rotates. Both attractions have well appointed gift shops.

We (4 teens + 2 adults) went as part of the City Pass which allows two visits within 24 hours. We first went during the day and had a great experience with views of the city, water, and the surrounding snowcapped mountains. We went later that evening, after dark, and it was even better! We were lucky and had a perfectly clear view of the city lights. The rotating glass floor was spectacular. If you only have time for one visit, I would recommend the night sky views as long as it’s somewhat clear.

This was our kids first time to Seattle so we had to see the Space Needle. We bought our tickets online ahead of time so after taking the Monorail there we just walked into the line. There was a brief line to start but once there you can stay as long as you like. We found that the elevators on the top floor were much less crowded going down as most people start on the top floor and then leave after seeing the rotating floor below.

My wife, like a lot of ladies, loved Grey's Anatomy show on TV and had to do this while we were in Seattle. I on the on the other hand, just like sky towers and have done them all over the world, Auckland, Toronto, Sydney, Bratislava just to name a few.
This one was pretty cool to visit. We caught the monorail to get here and you can use your orca card for it.
The pricing for the Chihuly garden and Space Needle combination ticket was pretty good value.
You catch the elevator up to the top of the needle and they have glass sides so you get a nice view going up and down.
Once up the top, you can view from inside the top level and then go outside for better views. Its a 360 degree view and you get great views of Seattle . It has glass paneling all the way around so it has unimpeded views which was good.
Once done on the top level, you can make your way down stairs onto a revolving deck and it has a section with glass floors for those souls who have the adventurous side. Its not that scary really.
There is also a restaurant and coffee shop in the top of the tower if you want food or a snack.
You can catch the elevator back down and then trawl through all the souvenirs in the large shop at the bottom of the tower.
When you get out, you can then walk across the Chihuly gardens and glass. This place was amazing. The artistry in the work was truly to behold and words cannot describe the flowing curves and stunning colors of his glass work. His paintings were good to see as well, but it was truly the spectacular glass that blew me away with its beauty. Just stunning. When you see what a small piece of glass costs in the souvenir shop, you can just imagine what the displays inside the museum are worth.
I really enjoyed it and would recommend it for a visit when you are in Seattle.

The line for the Space Needle moved along well. The view is awesome and any first time visitor to Seattle has to go for the iconic experience.
The Chihuly Garden was not too crowded and I always enjoy viewing masterful art. They had the Glasshouse closed for a private event, which is kind of a douchey thing for a public gallery that charges admission. Either be a free public gallery or a private, for-profit venue...you can't have your cake and eat it too. Not fair to those who pay to get in that day.

You can't come to Seattle and not do the Needle. The elevator operator gave the greatest 15 second tour I ha e ever heard, describing all of the scenery as we ascended. The view all around is breathtaking, and I recommend going down to stand on the glass floor. We made reservations for a certain time, but the line from that point until the elevator took 50 minutes, so factor that in.
