- 230alaynav0 contributionsFantastic Private Tour!I highly recommend Skagway Luxury Tours. We had the best day with Jaren and it was one of the highlights of the cruise. It was just our family and it was so nice to be able to stop for photos and get personalized attention. We even saw a bear!!!! A SUV picks you up at the Ore Dock, right next to the ship. The SUV fits six. In addition to all other of the photo stops, we stopped at the Yukon Suspension Bridge on the way up as well as Carcross, YT for bathroom breaks. On the way back to Skagway we stopped back at the Yukon Suspension Bridge for lunch which was amazing! Jaren knows a ton about the area and was able to answer all of our questions.Written September 5, 2024

We enjoyed every part of our 7-hour tour from Emerald Lake to the Suspension Bridge to the dog Mushing. We even got to see a mama bear with triplet cubs!Written July 29, 2024

From the moment we left Skagway she made us feel comfortable and actually became a member of our travel team. Vanesa passed on a wealth of info that both educated and entertained us. We stopped for photo opportunities in many locations, had some time to explore Carcross and had great fun getting everyone to man up and cross the suspension bridge. Lunch at the bridge was a bonus sampling some great food you just don’t find back home. It’s said that we make our own memories but when you have someone like Vanesa leading the way the memories make you smile and last forever. It really is hard to beat a private tour. The tour was 100% punctual. Very important for cruise excursions. Cruises rarely offer small group tours. This is a nice change of pace. Our guide, Jaren, was excellent and knowledgeable. He knew exactly how to navigate between the crowds of buses.
The pictures you see of the gorgeous Canadian lakes are amazing. Emerald Lake is gorgeous. They were the highlight of the trip and the real reason I wanted to go. I had to see for myself.
Lunch and the suspension bridge were a close second. That charcuterie board was amazing.
Carcross was nice small town stop with options for everyone.
I fully recommend this trip.

This excursion was the absolute best one I’ve ever taken. Vanessa was personable, accommodating, and very knowledgeable about the area. Her car was very clean and comfortable. She knew all the right places to pull over for the best photos. I would absolutely recommend this trip to everyone wanting a private tour! You will NOT be disappointed!

Book this tour! The tour guide was very knowledgeable of the area and knew facts and stories she's learned from locals-not just something she's read in a book. Also, Emerald Lake is a must-don't forget your camera!

Jaron was both informative and entertaining. I’d recommend to the naturalist or history buff. We saw a moose today which was one of our highlights of the excursion. Good glimpse at at how massive and culturally rich this territory is

Booked this trip with Vanesa - super easy and professional from start to finish! It was a great day — we were able to stop and see what we wanted to. She knew all the great picture spots. She was a wealth of information and history of the area. We did the sled dog version and got to play with the puppies :) Enjoyed a great lunch in Carcross. We beat the crowds almost everywhere — seems like we were just ahead of the bigger tour buses for all of our stops. Recommend leaving at 8:00 am if you can, so you are ahead of the larger groups. It never felt busy or congested. This was one of the better private excursions that we have taken. Vanesa was waiting for us at the end of the dock where we disembarked, it could not have been easier. Glad we did this rather than book an excursion through the cruise company. It was worth every penny, would love to do it again if we are ever back this way.

I am so happy I booked this tour! Vanesa is very personable and extremely knowledgeable of Skagway and the Yukon as well as the history of the Gold Rush. The car was extremely comfortable and clean. Vanesa took us to some amazing spots and was also quick to find wildlife and even turn around if we passed something (like the juvenile bear hidden by grass on the side of the road). She knew how to stay ahead of the large tour groups so we could enjoy our time in the different locations.
She put up with my silly family and played along with our shenanigans. We never felt rushed by her and she made sure we saw everything we wanted. If you are ever in Skagway, booking this tour is a MUST! You will not be disappointed.
