Great tour / Great Great guides /
Driver up to the zipline was very interactive and informative. Gave us some good info all the way. Our guides were super and we had a great time with them. Zipline was good and I'd recommend for anyone. Not super difficult but very fun and take time to look around and take in the beautiful mountain and surroundings which is an extra plus for this tour. Highly recommend this for all.

Fun and up personal with the Alaskan Huskies
We had a fabulous time, from the minute we were picked up to being dropped back at the cruise ship. Our driver Rose was informative and funny. She had a wicked sense of humour. The dogs were wonderful, hard-working and lovable. Our sled driver Sarah handled them well and gave us a personal introduction to them at the end of the 6 person cart ride. Seeing the 2 week old puppies and getting to hold one touched the heart. Also the store was a husky lovers dream, at a reasonable price. Thank you Rose, Sarah and Alaska X for the experience.

We would do this again and again!
Fantastic, it was the best of 4 excursions we went on, by far, in Alaska. Gabe and Parker were our guides. Both were fun. Parker has a great sense of humor and made the adventure even better. There were 6 people in our group, with youngest being 15 and the oldest 70. The majority of the group had experience in ziplining. My husband and I have never tried it before. They kept us smiling and laughing the whole time Gabe and Parker made all of us feel welcome and special, no matter the experience. The scenery was spectacular, with the river, trees and waterfalls. We all had a blast!

      This exceeded my expectations!
This tour is very well run, it never felt crowded even though they were very busy. The staff were very professional and knowledgeable. It was very interesting to learn the history of sled dogs and their role with humans. Riding behind the dogs on a "sled" was amazing to see how the dogs interacted with other dogs and their trainer. Of course, petting puppies is always great, but the rest of the tour was equally excellent.

      Skagway Ziplining Fun!
I had a fantastic time ziplining in Skagway, AK! The views were stunning, and the course was a perfect mix of thrilling and scenic. Our guides, Parker and Linnea, were outstanding—they made the adventure safe, fun, and unforgettable. Parker’s energy and Linnea’s calm confidence were the perfect combination. Highly recommend this excursion if you're in Skagway, especially with Parker and Linnea leading the way!

Favorite experience of our Disney Cruise
This was by far our favorite excursion of our cruise. I took my 8 & 10 year old kiddos and was a bit worried one of them would be too scared to do it, but our guides Gabe and Luke were absolutely amazing and made my kiddos feel extremely safe. My 8 year old was doing trust falls and going upside down by the 3rd or 4th zip line. We had such a wonderful experience and I would absolutely visit Grizzly Falls Ziplining again. Thanks again to our awesome guides, Gabe and Luke!

      Puppies galore
What a time! The trip in with Tim was one of a kind. Ask him questions, and he'll tell you so much about Juneau's history as he winds through the mountain trails. We then had Tyler, an up and coming musher, as our host, who was amazing. So enthusiastic and informative. The Mountain valley location is worth the price of admission. We've done this adventure twice, and would go again.

      Adventure in the woods
What a blast! We weren't expected the unimog drive but it was an adventure unto itself, and of course everyone loved riding with the sled dogs. We had three generations in our group, and my grandmother with walker needed assistance to/from the unimog and the team did a great job grabbing a 4x4 cart to take her up to the camp. Getting up into the Unimog was doable for her but was a bit slick in the rain. The team did such a great job introducing the dogs to us and answering all our questions about mushing. Grandma turned to me and said "This was the most fun excursion I've had on this whole trip!" Beaming ear to ear after riding with the dogs. It was a bit of a drive from the cruise ship terminals but the views were still nice and it was actually a relief to get out of town and away from all the other cruise tourists for a bit.

Parker and Justin were INCREDIBLE guides. They made the trip fun and entertaining. We had such an amazing time and were so pleased with this excursion. Our bus driver, David, was very knowledgeable of the area and made the trip very welcoming. Highly recommend for all families!!

      ziplining
The zipline was amazing and fun. We had our guides who were Sarina and Issabella. They were a great group of leaders and helped us to enjoy the moment we had. They showed us some tricks and made the whole experience better. Honestly, this is what made Skagway the most fun for us when we were there.

Our driver Patrick was the only highlight of our excursion. He was friendly and funny and spent the hour-ish drive to and from the camp telling interesting stories and jokes. The interaction with the puppies was limited. Isabel gave us an interesting intro about sledding and racing but was reluctant to then actually provide much interaction with the dogs. She offered one 3 month old puppy to hold and pet but claimed the other pups were too aggressive for us. She promptly handed us over to Oliver who was supposed to introduce us to the 3-4 week old puppies. Again just a very limited effort to help us interact with the animals. Oliver didn’t seem to know much about the puppies. Then we seemed to be rushed over to the s’mores and away from the dogs. There is a nice little waterfall we were directed to in order to use up the rest of our time. Overall we were just very disappointed with the staff other than Patrick, who was great.

We are sorry to hear about your unpleasant experience on our Musher's Camp and S'more Roasting tour. The puppy time should consist of approximately 15-20 minutes of interaction, so we apologize for your time being cut short. However, we will pass on the positive review to Patrick. If you would like to discuss your experience further, feel free to contact our office directly. Thank you for your feedback.

My husband and I were really looking forward to this trip as my Mum and Sister had done a similar one in Juneau and enthused about it. Unfortunately, our experience was not the same. Our drive out to the musters camp was fine, Matthew was a nice guy. Once we arrived at the camp we met Pencil an early retired husky. She was lovely, but we only had 5mins, if that, with her. Next there was a brief talk about the husky races in Canada & the US, then it was time to meet the puppies. Firstly, it was the turn of three 1 week old puppies. Unfortunately, as they were so young they were no sooner out than back in. The 8 week old puppies were a bundle of fun, however the interaction with them was just 15 mins!!!. The smores and the waterfall were simply marshmallow toasti g and a waterfall. We felt that the trip was completely overpriced, and the actual time you had with the puppies was a bitter disappointment. Wouldn't recommend to other holiday makers.

Sadly the write up and the actual experience were miles apart. Rose our tour guide was wonderful but the actual tour structure is very poor. Over 50% of the tour time will be spent with you in a bus driving to the actual camp. You get to play with puppies for perhaps 5 minutes, a 10 minute talk on dog sledding, a 5 minute talk on the slightly older dogs. We basically got to hold a puppy for no more than 2 minutes. S'more roasting was included with basic instructions after which you were left to your own to fumble through. Cannot in good conscience recommend this tour. Waste of money and highly overpriced for what is being offered. Again, the tour guide tried her best but the tour is very poor.

Hi there, thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with your experience on our Musher's Camp and S'more Roasting tour. We strive to structure our tours carefully, balancing logistics with guest experience in mind. Each component of the tour, including interacting with the puppies, the musher presentation, and roasting s'mores, is designed to last approximately 15-20 minutes. We apologize if your experience didn’t meet these expectations and will investigate why the tour may have been shortened. Your input is important to us as we aim to enhance our offerings. If you'd like to discuss this further, please feel free to contact our office directly.

We enjoyed a wonderful day at the Musher's Camp in Skagway. The views to/from the camp were amazing and meeting and riding with these musher dogs was such a fun experience. The experience was very informative with learning the background of racing and how these beautiful dogs get to do their favorite activity...run! Max was a great guide and shared many interesting facts along our trip.

What a great excursion! Our tour guide, Clint, was extra special. He lives in Skagway and shared the history of the town and the surrounding areas. When we got to the mushers camp, there was an informative presentation about mushing and the Iditarod. After that, we got to meet and hold some 3 month old puppies and then some one month old ones. They were cute and cuddly. It was an unforgettable experience.

Oh yeah, yeah, yeah..nice scenery and yummy s’mores and all, but sled dog puppies y’all!! We loved on dem puppies, and I still want the lil black one below!! I would love to see it when grown! A big “thank you!!” to our great tour guide, Austin T. Funny and informative, he made us feel welcome, comfortable, and is very personable. Later, he dropped us right back at the Soltice, which was so handy. It’s important to look for a tour that will do that for visitors, as paying for shuttles is no fun. On another note, the young lady who was at the pier to collect the visitors initially (then turn them over to a tour guide), wasn’t very friendly and was quite engrossed in her phone instead of collecting and engaging the pre-paid visitors. I’m glad she was not a tour guide. We had a lovely time and enjoyed the mushers camp!! All ages will enjoy this excursion.

I went on this excursion with my aunt and 16yo daughter. We were so excited to spend time with the puppies. Our guide was late. The drive thru Skagway was interesting; once out of town it was terrifying. The guide was telling inappropriate jokes then turning around to get our reaction. The road was scenic, but narrow and winding...I was scanning the bus for emergency exits as I was certain we'd go off the cliff into the bay. Once we arrived (a miracle) we had a short lesson on dog sledding and then the moment we were waiting for - dogs!! We were allowed to pet an 11 week old for 5 seconds. Then we moved to the 5 week old puppies. Only 2 came out so 20 of us had to share 2 puppies... in 5 minutes. Huge disappointment. We were devastated. Then into the smores... which were nice, but not worth the $150. The short hike to see the waterfall was the highlight. The scenery was amazing. Of course there was a gift shop 🙄 Then back onto the bus for more inappropriate jokes, coupled with false info... he didn't know skunk cabbage from devils club which made us question everything else he told us. He offered to drop us off in town, which we did only bc I had to get off that bus as soon as possible.

I recommend doing a different dog sled experience. There are some with active dogs (we only saw puppies and retirees) where you can ride a sled on wheels.

I understand the safety of the dogs is priority. I would recommend letting visitors SIT in the pen to interact with the dogs (this prevents dropping or stepping on) OR give a better description of the experience to lessen expectations.

Thank you for expressing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience was not satisfactory. First and foremost, we apologize for the inappropriate and unacceptable behavior from the driver. Secondly, we are sorry that you did not experience more time with the dogs; there is approximately 20 minutes total designated to the puppy portion of the tour which is divvied up by the different litters. Additionally, the mushers are careful not to pass out too many puppies at a time as to not inflict stress on the mama dog. If you would like to discuss your experience further, please reach out to our office directly. Thank you.

We were at first disappointed that we could not do the sled ride and had to book for this tour. However, I think we probably had the best experience ever.
We were picked up from the cruise ship and our guide was an extremely knowledgeable young man who had great stories to tell about his life in Skagway and with the sled dogs. You could tell he had a passion for the dogs, it oused from every pore in his body.
When we arrived at camp after a glorious drive through the most spectacular landscape, we went off to create our delights around the bonfire. We had biscuits, chocolate and marsh mellows to create a camping feast and there was a lot of it, too sweet for me mind (Diabetic).
We then had a talk from an Iditarod musher and he explained how they liked to socialise the dogs, the race etc, it was very interesting to hear.
As we were not sleding we had oodles of time playing with the puppies who were just sooooo adorable. Mummy dogs were a delight and liked a cuddle too. We spent time with the juvenile dogs who had loads of energy and loved a good old scratch behind the ears. It was a delight to have so much time interacting with the dogs themselves. We have four dogs at home so we were made up with this.
On the way back to the jeep we walked along the river and found a bear paw print and bear poo, all terribly exciting.
The weather was brilliant, the valley we were in was out of this world and we loved every second of this.
