We were a little hesitant to book outside the cruise line excursions but the price was much more reasonable. Klondike Tours is a family operated business that takes their customer service seriously. Billie Joe, the mom and owner, was our tour guide. She is a wealth of information about the history of Skagway. She was so personable and accommodating to whatever her customers wanted. We took some beautiful pictures. Even though the weather didn't cooperate at the top of the mountain, she made the best of it and we enjoyed every minute. Four friends from Louisiana will never forget our time in Skagway, AK.

We booked the White Pass Deluxe tour and it was perfect! Billie was the driver/owner and gave us the history of the town and great information along the way. She is also a great story teller-ask her how well her Spanish is, she had us laughing we were in tears. We will definitely book another tour with them when we return to Skagway.

We took this ride only 14 miles out from Skagway as a bridge is out and you can't go any further we were told. The price on here lists as $50 but we paid approx. $100 on the ship to do this trip of 14 miles. We did see beautiful scenery and we did enjoy it but we should have booked it on our own ahead of time and saved half the price. It was nice to stand outside the rail car and enjoy the scenery from there but then you can't hear what is being said about the environment.

Terrific scenic ride through the area, with wonderful historical notes from Zane, our tour guide! Because the train turns around, both sides have terrific views. We toured an area that supported the gold rush, and learned how this railway system was built. Beautiful vistas with soft green water snaking through the rocks and trees. Gentle motion made it pleasant, not scary. When we were done, we toured the town. It was a fabulous way to learn about the area.

I enjoyed this tour very much. The driver, Billie, was full of interesting stories regarding the history of the area.
We stopped at Bridal Veil Falls and my son actually proposed to his girlfriend. To say this was a memorable excursion is an understatement!
I highly recommend this to everyone. I am from Florida and this was my first visit to Alaska, but will not be my last. The views were breathtaking.

We took the Klondike White Pass Tour WITH Gold Panning in Skagway off our cruise ship Miracle on July 30th. Our tour guide , Billie, was friendly and informative and gave us great information that made our trip very enjoyable. We drank glacial water fresh from the waterfall and stopped many times to take pictures of breathtaking views. I highly recommend this tour and this company which we booked NOT through Carnival, but as an independent. The panning was fun, too.... This is a family owned and run business, and they do a great job!

3hour tour in/out of skagway in a small bus. Nice family owned business. Billy was really funny and cool, her commentary made the tour! Drove to the summit 3500 feet, into Canada, and a few overlooks/waterfalls. Ended at the gold rush cemetery

We booked this before leaving home. They would pick up at the ship but we walked to the tour office, as the information said to contact them 48 hours before (not easy) when cruising. It all worked out. We had a 3 hour city tour and summit tour that included Historic down town, gold rush cemetery, city overlook, Azure glaziers, Alpine valley Dead horse gulch, waterfalls and 1 mile into Canada (take your passport) The guide was amazing. Said just say if you want me to stop and take any pictures. Knew his stuff, very knowledgeable

Thoroughly enjoyed this very informative trip whilst in Skagway. With several stops along the route we were provided with great stories and explanations of the characters from the gold rush in addition to very interesting facts on the local flora and fauna.

The scenery was amazing but our driver, Jim, never shut up. It was entertaining at first, then became annoying and graduated to unbearable. I got off the bus early to to avoid another minute of listening to him. I was not the only one annoyed by his loud narrative. He never quit talking. It totally ruined what could have been an amazing 3 hours.

Klondike Tours doesn't have a driver named Jim, that being said I'm sorry that which ever company you went with didn't provide you with a great time.
