About
Explore New Orleans’ colorful history, culture, and architecture with a private walking tour for small groups that includes the historic French Quarter, Garden District, and a nostalgic ride on the famous St. Charles Street Car. Stroll through the French Quarter with your guide as you hear about the heritage of the Vieux Carre. See Royal Street, filled with antique stores, street musicians and other performers, and walk into Jackson Square. See the Saint Louis Cathedral and the buildings that frame it. Visit the Mighty Mississippi River, the reason New Orleans exists today. Then board the St. Charles Streetcar, the oldest continuously operating Streetcar in the world, to Lafayette Cemetery #1 and the beautiful Garden District. View Lafayette Cemetery #1 from outside the gates (no public access) and learn about the unique above-ground tombs and burial process. Stroll through the Garden District, all while being dazzled by the opulent wealth of the early American settlement.

Perfect day in NOLA!
Feb 2019
Our guide Karen was amazing. We don't usually do private tours, but now I'm sold. We covered so much ground, and she was able to give us a ton of insight into the city (past and present). I highly recommend this tour. It's the best way to get a sense for New Orleans in one day, and super fun!

My daughter tagged along with her father on a business trip to New Orleans. We hired Tours by Steven to show her around the city. I talked with Chad and after I told him what I was looking for he devised a great tour! Chad matched my daughter with Sarah who was absolutely wonderful! They went ALL OVER the city. Sarah showed and taught my daughter so many interesting things. If it had not been for Sarah she wouldn't of gotten nearly as much out of her visit to New Orleans. There's so much to the city and so much you'd never know about or to go see if you don't have help. After talking to another tour company I kept looking and when I talked with Tours by Steven I knew this company would be the best option. Chad listens to what you want and, even better, gives you advice and options that you might not of known to consider to better help you get what you're looking for. Chad takes great care of his customers. Sarah takes it to the next level by bringing everything to life. She's very professional, knowledgeable and fun. Sarah goes above and beyond! My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the day she spent with Sarah. She says that it's the best trip she's ever taken. I really appreciate Tours by Steven and highly recommend them. I felt like a VIP and am sure everyone gets that same treatment.
Thank you Chad, Sarah and Steven for your lovely southern hospitality and for giving Rosemary such a superb experience!!

Steven is #1. It’s no accident.
Jan 2019 • Business
You can’t have a more enjoyable time getting in 10,000 steps (actually more!) than touring with Steven’s infectious, conversational presentation of a city he dearly loves. Outside the US Mint, what appeared to be a large, decorative flower pot, was actually a large, 19th Century cauldron, and this object became the springboard for Steven’s discussion of sugar refining, fortunes made and lost, and cultural integration in the French Quarter. His background in the performance arts, capacity to improvise his itinerary to accommodate interests, and depth of knowledge in all aspects of New Orleans, shines through. And he hires the same characteristics and skills in his employees. We had a former local resident with us, and she was impressed.
