Sean Byrd was our tour guide. He was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He kept everyone fully engaged. This was worth the price and the time to get to learn about the different areas of the city and learn all kinds of history. Sean shared information from the establishment of the city all the way through Hurricane Katrina and Covid, sharing the effects of each event through history. He pointed out so many places to visit. I really recommend taking the tour the first day you visit so you know where you would like to go visit on your own. I only wish there was a printed map with the tour route to help know where we are on the tour. Being from out of state and with it being our first visit, it was kind of hard to keep our bearings. But that would have just given the tour 10 stars! It deserves every star available. Highly recommend.

I would recommend this tour for ANYONE who wants to spend a few hours learning more about the city of New Orleans. They picked us up right at our hotel, so it was convenient for one of our travelers who walks with a cane.

I appreciate that this tour takes you to several areas, not just the usual French Quarter/Garden District tours. Our guide was a fount of knowledge about the area, and he made it personal since he's a long-time local. We were treated to information both historical and modern (including an extremely relevant and information bit related to Katrina, the aftermath, and the long-term, ongoing effects).

Taking this tour allowed us to see some places we wanted to experience further, so I think this is a great "introduction" tour. We likely would not have known to visit Felix's on the Lake (instead of in the Quarter) had it not been for our tour!

My husband, sister, and two children (ages 6 and 10) went on this tour. It's great for all ages!!! We all learned so much about New Orleans history up to the present day and felt we got a good glimpse of the city in just a couple hours. DJ had us all laughing while also portraying the area's struggles and strengths. I loved that he promoted locally owned businesses from restaurants to lodging and even the resident selling drinks outside of the cemetery! We would all highly recommend this tour if you're looking for a truthful history and a quick glimpse into this vibrant city.

Booked a 4 PM tour with Tyler.  We were told to be at the red booth by 3:30 PM, and were there a few minutes before that.  When we got there, the bus was there, and we were told that we could get on, but it turned out that the bus door was closed and the driver was asleep across the front seats of the bus (as we eventually found out, but at the time, we were not even sure that there was not a homeless person sleeping on the bus).  Tyler arrived just before 4 PM, and we departed.  There were two of us, and we were the only two people on this particular tour.  We enjoyed the sights and seeing new parts of New Orleans.  But we were astonished at how fast Tyler spoke.  I even took a couple of audio clips during the tour because it went by so fast.  We drove by landmarks so quickly that there were no opportunities to even take the quickest of photos (and I am usually adept at snapping quickly on the fly) and we had hoped to see some of the "Yardi Gras" homes, but only passed a couple on the entire tour.  We got to the Cafe du Monde stop by the Sculpture Garden at about 4:50 PM, and were gone again by 5 PM.  At the time that we were on the tour, it was nearly impossible to follow what Tyler was saying, and to be clear, we have normal hearing and speak English as a first language.  If we spoke English as a second language or had the slightest hearing impairment, it would have been impossible to follow.  As it was, I still don't remember any of the names of the historical figures Tyler mentioned because it was buried in so much rapid-fire patter.  I didn't complain during the course of the tour, thinking that there was that much interesting information to cover, and I wanted to learn everything I could.  But the tour ended just short of two hours long.  As the tour was advertised as a 2.5 hour tour, I now suspect that Tyler decided that a tour for only two people was not worth his full attention, and agreed with the driver to condense it down to 2 hours instead.  So we went flying past landmarks and Tyler talked as fast as possible to get the whole tour in as short of time as possible.  He was also checking texts and messages on his phone while he talked.  Fortunately for Tyler, my companion is a compulsive over-tipper and Tyler earned a generous gratuity despite his performance.  But I would not recommend this experience to others.  I would definitely recommend a bus tour, as it's the best way to see the other parts of New Orleans that you would not otherwise get, but not if it's delivered like this, as it required so much focus just to keep following.

I should say that I'm not even 100% this is the correct tour as this description mentions several stops which we were not offered during our tour. But I see several references to Tyler, who was our tour guide. And it may be the absence of those stops that turned our 2.5 hour tour into a slightly under 2 hour tour.

As I first-time visitor to the city with only a short amount of free time during this trip, I wanted a broad overview of the city's history and culture. This particular tour's itinerary and duration seemed just right. I'm so glad I chose this one, particularly because our guide, Charlotte, has deep roots in the city and such a super breadth and depth of knowledge. She struck just the right balance between a light, positive and fun perspective and a solemn, respectful presentation of some of the sadder parts of New Orleans history. (I'm also glad that it wasn't overly focused on the French Quarter.) I can't thank her enough for such a memorable and thoroughly enjoyable and informative experience. I definitely recommend this tour to others!

Tyler was an awesome tour guide. He was super knowledgeable about the area. We enjoyed his personality and all the jokes and side stories he was able to tell us about him growing up or his favorite projects that happened around New Orleans. It was a learning experience for sure and I would recommend this tour as a nice way to sit and see the city while learning backgrounds about each area.

Being a NOLA native, narrator Tyler was full of good info. Keisha was very engaging and drove the 27-pax A/C bus like a pro. The 4 of us, 2 from Biloxi and 2 from N Indiana, thoroughly enjoyed this tour, appreciated the stops at the cemetery & Café Du Monde in City Park, where we cd purchase food/souvenirs. I might suggest that Tyler slow his speech rate somewhat (older people are sometimes hard of hearing & find it difficult to decipher such rapid speech) & substitute more info about NOLA for all the personal recommendations of where to eat and hang out. We flew past venues that deserved more attention, such as the WWII museum. We had already passed it before anything was said about it. Additionally, we passed the old mint & nothing was said about it. Overall, very satisfied and wd recommend.

A really great, informative tour of New Orleans. Keisha, our driver, and Tyler, our guide, were both very knowledgeable and informative and you could tell how much they loved their city by their enthusiasm and they way they presented the historical information, both the good and the bad. This tour goes into so many different areas of the city that you really get a great overview of many of the districts. So much information and such a great presentation. Would highly recommend.

We had the pleasure of taking this tour yesterday. The guide, DJ, is a fountain of information on the area’s history and culture. The driver, Corey, was able to navigate the tight streets and alleys perfectly, glad he was driving and not me. This is a must do for first time visitors interested in the real pulse of New Orleans and not just the French Quarter.

I want to shout out to this tour because it was stellar and both the driver (Keisha) and the guide (Tyler) were terrific. This tour is like Going to New Orleans School for 2 and a half hours. I loved it because there are areas I never get to in NOLA because I never rent a car and there is so much going on in this amazing city.

The really great thing about Tyler is that even though he crams a lot into your head in the very short time he has to cover everything, he will always circle back to his main point. So do not worry that you are going to miss something! He is thorough and he will repeat! He also answers all sorts of questions.

His knowledge is from living in NOLA and his family history, as well as having attended the art high school here, so he sort of knows everybody, and he let's you know what sort of restaurants he likes and why, as well as treating you (bathroom break) to the shortest line to cafe du monde (Skip the line in the quarter! Take this tour!) at the City Park which is so gorgeous and made by the same man who architected Central Park.

He's animated and funny, but he also really loves this town, and he is a musician so he knows all sorts of musical spots and tidbits. He's realistic about much of the lore here, and he speaks plainly about it. There are plenty of personal and familial anecdotes peppered in, which gives the tour a very inclusive feel.

It was super hot (july) and raining (july) so it was nice to be on an air conditioned bus. A wonderful human appears and sells you home made pralines, which I had never had, and I really appreciated this, as well as refreshments for sale for very little cost while you are visiting the cemetery.

Great job everyone. :D
