    What to Expect
Visit: New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum, 724 Dumaine St French Quarter, At Bourbon, New Orleans, LA 70116-3140

The New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum is open from 10am - 6pm 7 days a week, excluding Christmas and Mardi Gras. Most visitors will spend about 30 minutes to an hour and half. You will be introduced to the roots of voodoo and how it is connected to Christianity.  Learn about voodoo spirits, ve ves, the saints, white magic, voodoo dolls, sacred potions and gris gris bags. etc.

You are free to explore the museum on your own during operating hours, or contact the local supplier to reserve a private tour by appointment. Cinnamon, the Voodoo Queen, offers personal tours of the museum with explanations of the exhibits and answers to your questions. Nate, who leads cemetery tours, is available for guided tours to groups before regular open hours. Appointments for palm or tarot readings can be made within the museum's regular open schedule, but exceptions are always possible in the "Big Easy". You can request a special gris gris for your special needs, or the museum will ship for you to another location at your request (additional charge.)

Accidentally double booked and Carol made sure one was refunded as soon as possible. The atmosphere of the museum was great, and something was definitely at work in there. For $7, you’ll learn a lot. I’d recommend.

It’s two tiny little rooms, a hallway, and a gift shop with a few scattered overpriced things. Not worth the $7 admission fee at all.

Plus a gift shop, that’s it. If you want to just look at a jumble of voodoo stuff in bad lighting, this is the place. Don’t expect to learn anything. It’s more of an experience than a museum.
