Our guide showed us many beautiful homes and areas in New Orleans. He provided many interesting tidbits about the culture and history of New Orleans. The mansions are truly stunning. However, we could not escape the feeling that we were seeing only the experience of the privileged white class of New Orleans. There was never acknowledgement of the experiences of enslaved people who created the fortunes of these mansion builders nor any acknowledgement of the challenges faced by those less fortunate in the city. It was a very white-washed experience that left us feeling sad and angry.

We had a great day with Dominick. He is very knowledgeable. We would definitely do this tour again, but would likely choose different plantations to explore.

This was such a great tour! I feel like we learned more about Hurricane Katrina than the news ever talked about. He explained life after the storm and what it took to recover. Also, what's been done post, Katrina. He explains everything so well that it really gives you an up close view of the biggest natural disaster in United States history. Save your money on other tours. This guy will knock all those off in one custom experience. You go for Katrina education and leave with an upclose view of it all, but you also get to see the most beautiful cemetery (because his family is actually in there..true local!) the garden district and so much more! This tour is worth every penny! 10/10 recommend you booking now so you can catch him on your next vacation!

Dominick was our guide, he took us for a drive around the city of New Orleans and then to a swamp tour. He was pleasant, explained things very well and had pictures to help with his explanations. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire city drive tour. Then we were able to see the suburb’s and country as we took the highway out of the city to the swamp tour. The tour guide on the river boat was informative, we saw a lot of wildlife including alligators. It was a lovely day and we felt that we got more than our moneys worth for a full day of entertainment and education.

His knowledge of New Orleans is simply unsurpassed, including the history of the city, how the city has prepared itself for future hurricanes and excellent restaurant recommendations, including Tableau and GW Fins, 2 of the best restaurants in the French Quarter.

Dominick picked us up at the dock of The American Cruise Lines. He is a native and very knowledgeable. He gave us lots of information about the history of New Orleans. Dominick provided us an EXCEPTIONAL discovery of New Orleans and the New Orleans area over 2 days. He is extremely knowledgeable in the history, architecture and the before and after of Katrina. Dominick picked us up at the river boat landing where we disembarked from the Queen of the Mississippi and took us to our hotel, 2 full days of touring including the French Quarter, Bourbon Street, the City in General, Destrehan Plantation, a couple short Jazz performances, the best restaurants ever and then took us to the airport for our departure. Simply a wonderful experience that we cannot stop talking about. Of course it is in the guide: Dominick Musso is FANTASTIC!!

Dominick is extremely informative and did a great job keeping our young children engaged! He was prompt in picking us up from our home, and willing to work with us to tailor the tour to our young children. It is apparent from the moment you meet him, that the next 7-8 hours were money well spent!
