    Fantastic walking tour!
We learned so much about French Quarter history on this tour. And our guide pointed out plenty of fun things to do later in the day which came in handy when it started raining. We got oriented to the layout of the quarter which helped with the rest of our trip. We’re so lucky we had Dave guide us through time and New Orleans!

Very informative tour. Our guide David not only gave us great info on the houses we saw, but he was able to answer any question about New Orleans history we had.

    Ok walking tour
We took the Scandalous Cocktail tour. While the history was good about the surrounding areas as we walked, no history about the drinks. At a couple of the venues it kinda felt like we "crashed the party" as we just squeezed into the bar to get a drink. Nice guide, just more history surrounding the "Scandalous drinks".

    Woo Dave!
We had an exceptional tour with Dave yesterday! He is a wealth of Louisiana/New Orleans knowledge and you can sense the passion he has for sharing the city. As first time visitors, he shared all sorts of information that we didn't hear on any of our other tours and really gave us a contextual deep dive and good lay of the land. He was also really familiar with the different architectural styles for the area! Overall, Dave is the best and we highly recommend any tour with him!

    David was outstanding !
The best guided tour I’ve ever been on. David, our tour guide, was absolutely incredible. His knowledge of NOLA music and the convergence of cultures was remarkable. David was Personable, funny and full of energy. He also brought along an iPad and small speaker so he could show us examples of music, history, and culture. I’ve traveled a lot, but this was the best tour.

    Phenomenal
Very educational and my tour guide Nate was wonderful. He knows the culture and history true local to the heart . Looking forward to a voodoo tour next round . There is more to life than Bourbon St if you walk just a little further 😉

    Not Historical
Poor history and timeliness. We were booked for Friday, but they rescheduled us to Saturday. We could have booked a river tour instead. I should have asked for a refund now that I look back. The host kept jumping around with pop culture, music, random personal stories, Nicholas cage etc.. I felt liked we booked a comical gimmick tour rather than a historical one. Sorely let down. Save your money and time. Just go to a museum. You'll learn more there. We had to pause him several times to get the background on buildings we were looking at. Money, two evenings, and time wasted.

    Interesting
Dave was so knowledgeable and was very nice. The facts we learned I would never have known without the tour. My family really enjoyed the tour. If you never visited New Orleans or just want more information about the city; I highly recommend taking a tour to get an idea how the city came about.

I am usually never one to complain or leave bad reviews but this one was a waste of time and money. Our tour guide Ina?, older lady with heavy accent, was not the best. We got a history lesson instead of a haunted tour. We stood at the gate of Jackson Square for over 30 mins while she talked about who
took over New Orleans when at this time and that time. I don’t care about Loui whoever I wanted to know about the ghost of New Orleans. She spoke to much history and not haunted stories. The other group that was with us even planned on just escaping the tour because of how horrible it was. She was rude and kept telling us to come closer when we did not want to . I’m young I can hear perfectly clear. Worst tour ever. Another tour guide would have been better. Didn’t even take us to Lalaurie Mansion because she said it’s to crowed. Waste of hours from our vacation and not worth the $25 per person.

Unfortunately, a bunch of city roads were blocked off and it was hard to get there. We got to the location with 5 mins to spare and no one was there. It was freaky sad that we paid and didn't get the experience. I would've thought they wouldn't leave till at least 730 when it begins, but they were gone

OMG!!! Awesome Tour. Our guide was Rob. Our group was small, which I think was a plus. My 12 year(althought she got tired), loved the tour and learned so much about the History; she couldn't wait to get back home and tell everyone about what she learned. Rob is so full of knowledge, a true historian. I can not wait to visit again to take another tour. Make sure you book you tour with tourneworleans, you will not be disappointed.

My husband and I had an excellent haunted tour with Rob as our tour guide. We enjoyed hearing the actual history that occurred at the locations on the tour followed by the legends of the ghosts. Rob shared with us a wealth of information. At the end of the tour, we were able to casually talk with him and learn even more interesting facts. We highly recommend this tour.

Caroline was an excellent tour guide and was super knowledgeable. She could tell you ghost stories about the ghost stories if you wanted. Couldn't recommend more.

went on the Haunted French Quarter walk during my stay in New Orleans. The experience was mediocre at best.

First of all, our guide spoke at a low mumble and was hard to understand. When a car would pass, or another ghost walk would be within hearing range, his voice would be drowned out by the engine or by a tour guide who knew how to speak and articulate properly.

With English being my second language, one might aegue that the problem was at my end. But in six weeks of traveling the US, I've had no trouble understanding guides, servers, hotel clerks or random people on the streets. And I was able to understand the tour guides from the other companies who would be telling stories thirty feet away.

The situation did not improve after I asked him to speak up. After asking him to speak up three times to no avail, I just gave up and tried to make the best if it.

Second of all, the guide did spend a lot of tlme badmouthing other companies / tour guides. We passed several groups where he would mumble snarky remarks about their historical accuracy, the size of their groups ("I could actually report them for taking more than 24 people.") or the fact that they were talking about vampires - which he made sure we knew he found ridiculous. Several times.
Badmouthing your competition is straight up unprofessional, and is a red flag in any business.

Third of all, our guide was boasting and bragging about the authenticity of their own tours, and how HTNO Inc was staffed by professors and teachers, rather than "kids in costumes". However, some of the "facts" he told us (e.g. the condition of the slaves found in the LaLaurie Mansion) were exaggerated and wrong. So much for historical inaccuracy.

I'd advise against going on the Haunted French Quarter Walk. My experience was with one guide only, but I'm certain I would have had more chills and have learned more about the haunts and history of New Orleans if I had gone with a "kid in a costume".

We booked our tour for a Saturday evening in early February. We figured it would be crowded in the French Quarter on a weekend, but we did not count on a Mardi Gras parade. It turns out that Mardi Gras is a month-long celebration, with a parade every night. We ran into immense crowds of revelers and raucous parade bands at almost every turn. After we finally connected with our guide, we hoofed it all over the Quarter trying to get to the haunted places and trying to find quiet corners where he could explain the history and try to infuse a little spookiness into the tale. It wasn't easy, believe me. I swear I logged 50,000 steps, about 30,000 of which were backtracking or retracing our steps. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ANYONE WITH DIFFICULTY WALKING.

It was still fun, and it's given us a story, but it was not at all what we expected. Plus, everyone should know that you don't go inside any of the haunted buildings, and you might want to brush up on your Nicolas Cage lore.

Thank you for your feedback. You make a very good point - it is very difficult to conduct tours while there are Mardi Gras parades. In fact, we are thinking of canceling some tours next week to avoid the parades. Thanks again!
