- constanzez5680 contributionsDefinitly recommend it!We had an amazing tour with Nate. He was so friendly and knowlegable. His stroytelling was funny and he adapted to what we were interested in. It's great to be shown around by a local!Written September 7, 2024
- ambert7570 contributionsOk walking tourWe took the Scandalous Cocktail tour. While the history was good about the surrounding areas as we walked, no history about the drinks. At a couple of the venues it kinda felt like we "crashed the party" as we just squeezed into the bar to get a drink. Nice guide, just more history surrounding the "Scandalous drinks".Written August 29, 2024
- trbbins0 contributionsWoo Dave!We had an exceptional tour with Dave yesterday! He is a wealth of Louisiana/New Orleans knowledge and you can sense the passion he has for sharing the city. As first time visitors, he shared all sorts of information that we didn't hear on any of our other tours and really gave us a contextual deep dive and good lay of the land. He was also really familiar with the different architectural styles for the area! Overall, Dave is the best and we highly recommend any tour with him!Written August 25, 2024
- Mobile047872050270 contributionsDavid was outstanding !The best guided tour I’ve ever been on. David, our tour guide, was absolutely incredible. His knowledge of NOLA music and the convergence of cultures was remarkable. David was Personable, funny and full of energy. He also brought along an iPad and small speaker so he could show us examples of music, history, and culture. I’ve traveled a lot, but this was the best tour.Written August 25, 2024

- DJeffH0 contributionsGreat Walking Tour - Don’t Miss It!Randy is an amazing tour guide! You can sense his love for the city, community and that comes out in his tour! He loves questions - ask away. He was well researched, and offered some really interesting perspectives that challenged many of the misconceptions that we have about NOLA. Randy was also clear on where he felt his responses were fact and what was opinion, and offered different view points on topics like the impact of Hurricane Katrina, vampires, NOLA cemeteries and local cuisine. He was quick to point out interesting ‘follow up’ opportunities for local food, museums/history, cocktails and made a great recommendation for the best beignets in NOLA at Morning Call!Written June 10, 2024
- jamesrE7143MJ0 contributionsGreat Tour Guide DaveOur tour was great! Our guide Dave was awesome and local to the area. He was extremely knowledgeable of the city, its surroundings, architecture, and history of all the beautiful homes. We had a thunderstorm roll on right b4 we begin, so we gathered at the Rink and this amazing guide educated us on the history of the area and answered any and all questions we had. My children wanted to see the “Coven House” from AHS, so we took an alternative route. We also bumped into local jazz legend Deacon John. It was truly an incredible tour. Thank you Dave.Written May 31, 2024
- andreagI3683KI0 contributionsGarden District Tour - Must do.What a wonderful experience! Our tour guide Randy was fun and full of cultural information and fun facts. He absolutely delivered when it came to what we were hoping for - great visual representation of the best of the Garden District, fun facts that accompany the houses, and ability to answer any questions. The tour begins and ends near The Rink (great coffee shop, restroom inside) and the trolley line - so that was a plus. Also, if you are looking to dine at Commander's Palace, that is about 400 feet away. The tour was also a high point of our NoLa trip for my 16 year old son, who is not typically interested in these sorts of things, but he later thanked me for the experience!Written May 30, 2024

Poor history and timeliness. We were booked for Friday, but they rescheduled us to Saturday. We could have booked a river tour instead. I should have asked for a refund now that I look back. The host kept jumping around with pop culture, music, random personal stories, Nicholas cage etc.. I felt liked we booked a comical gimmick tour rather than a historical one. Sorely let down. Save your money and time. Just go to a museum. You'll learn more there. We had to pause him several times to get the background on buildings we were looking at. Money, two evenings, and time wasted.

Dave was so knowledgeable and was very nice. The facts we learned I would never have known without the tour. My family really enjoyed the tour.
If you never visited New Orleans or just want more information about the city; I highly recommend taking a tour to get an idea how the city came about.

Walking is so much more hands-on than riding in a bus tour. Highly recommend this tour. David Higgins, our tour guide on May 12, 2022, was really excellent! His depth of knowledge, story telling skills and natural ability to weave together all the "gumbo" of New Orleans made the experience so enjoyable. It was delightful. Thank you, David

My husband and I had a fabulous French Quarter tour today with David!
It was a great walk covering a vast area of the French Quarter.
David was very knowledgeable and the delivery of information was given at the right pace without being too overwhelming. Thoroughly recommended.

We got to see a lot of the parts of the city and see what was where. I was hopeful to have more history and storytelling has a part of the experience. We did this as our last thing in New Orleans in hopes of coloring in our whole experience in the city with the stories and wild and beautiful history that this city embodies, and we didn’t get that. I would recommend this more as a first day tour to get a lay of the land

David did an excellent job of piecing together the history of New Orleans, touching on Native American, French, Spanish, Creole, Cajun and American history.
All the while, we ambled through the streets of the French Quarter, stopping here and there for a moment in history or the story of a particular house and its inhabitants. Well done!

This tour gave us a good introduction to the French Quarter on our first morning in the city. We were fortunate enough to be the only couple on the tour. We enjoyed having a private guide show us about. We heard some interesting stories and marveled at the beautiful balconies, but we weren't blown away by the experience. Maybe we weren't asking the right questions. We had a more inspiring tour with another company elsewhere in town later in the day.

Randy was terrific. Knowledgeable, witty, funny and easy going. You got all the history and had a fun time as well. We had him two days in a row, French Quarter one day and the Garden District the next ...lucky us. He knew all the history but also allowed the participants to ask questions of interest and was willing to detour on the "narrative" to make sure the tour could be customized to your liking. A fun time had by all...thank you Randy!

Hi I want to check availability on Friday 13th 5pm for 2 adults but it won't work - can you help?
Written April 8, 2018
The Marriott web site states that there are available rooms for the 13th at this location. However, the cost is $382USD per night. I recommend you call Marriott if you cannot make a reservation online. London - Toll +353 21 421 6400 or Toll-free +00800 1927 1927
On the Bookings web sites states that there are no rooms available at this site. It appears as though many hotels are full on this date.
Good luck.
