      Good Starter Trip
This tour was a good starter on what you wanted to go back to visit and explore in more detail at a later time. If you want more to see, then take the hop on hop off bus for taking pictures and getting a better experience. This trip is good if you have problems walking or if it is raining.

      Swap Tour was Great.
This was a great tour. The tour was exhilarating as we sped through the Bayou and canals. The tour was informative when we toured around the swap seeing alligators, racoons and birds. Our guide Bob was terrific.

      Highly recommend this tour!
This was a great experience! The bus driver Lorraine was a gem and made sure we enjoyed the 30 minute ride to the swamp. Our captain, Ernie, was very knowledgeable about the swamp while also allowing us to enjoy nature without narrating the entire time. He offered a historic perspective on the area as he’s a 10th generation resident. We saw at least 12 gators and so many different beautiful parts of the swamp.

Great tour and even got to hold a young alligator!
This is a great way to tour the swamp area and see alligators in their home territory. Travelling on the large airboat was such a buzz, and allowed up to go into some more interesting areas of the swamp. We saw lots of alligators and even got to hold a 2 year old one! Captain Ernie was amazing, and told us lots of interesting things about the alligators (don't be wearing white clothing if you fall into the water, as to the alligator you will look like a fish!). Highly recommend as a fun time and great way to see around the swamps of New Orleans.

You WILL Get Wet! Whoo Hoo! Great Fun!
This was my 3rd Small-Group trip with Louisiana Tour Company...Grandkids INSIST we go. They say it's the best of all the things we do when we visit New Orleans. Our driver this time was Jake, who was entertaining and a GREAT driver! Highly recommend this tour..Tons of Fun. Oh, and you WILL get VERY WET if you sit in the back row on the left or right side. But that's half the FUN!

We had a blast! Went for my bachelorette trip, saw so many gators and went fast it was so fun. We especially loved Dewey. He was barefoot the whole time, gettin in the muck and petting gators, really got the girls goin. It was one of our favorite memories from the trip!

You see everything you have seen in all the movies and photos of New Orleans.
It was very informative and interesting. The guide had a music Playlist to go along with his oral history of all the people and places on the tour. It was a long tour but interesting. The Beignets were the Best!

      Definitely worth doing
Sensational tour. Well organised, heaps to see, and the airboat is terrific. If it looks like rain, we recommend you pickup an emergency poncho at Walgreens before you go (around US$2) as you’ll get wet. A water resistant camera / phone is also a bonus. Front seats are coldest and wettest, but also the best for photos. It’s a really great tour and an experience to tick off the bucket list. This company were very slick, well organised and comfortable.

More than just a ride through the swamp
The swamp tour was just what we were looking for. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and he made the experience fun for everyone on board. The knowledge of the alligators and plants in the swamp made the tour so much more than just a ride through the swamp.

This Was The Highlight Of Our New Orleans Trip
About four small airboats left within seconds of each other. Ours was the last to leave. Jason immediately zoomed in back of the spray of another airboat soaking our cleanly washed hair with swamp water and drenching our clothes. The ad for the tour clearly stated that you will not get wet. We were furious. Then the real tour began. First stop was a 10 ft. alligator that Jason was very familiar with. He came right up to the boat and Jason. As Jason fed him marshmallows, he "kissed" and touched the alligator. There was also a male juvenile hanging around to eat some marshmallows. Then we toured the swamps as we listened to Jason who is full of interesting info of the swamps past, present and future. Next stop was another juvenile and a 12 ft. alligator, which Jason was not as familiar with. When he called, the alligator came to the boat. Though not as familiar with this alligator, Jason was able for the first time to "kiss" and pet him also. Everyone on the boat was able to get some wonderful pics and videos, and the beginning of the tour was all forgiven.

    I highly recommend this tour!
I would suggest trying to book on your warmest day as it is 78° today and it gets a bit chilly on the water. However it is mid- February so it’s warmer than I thought it would be.
What a great experience as the pictures and videos of gators are amazing. Our tour guide was very informative and we even got to pet a baby gator!
We got picked up and dropped off at our hotel so everything is pre-arranged.
    Super cool tour!
    Thanks guys!!

So much better than an air boat! We had an amazing boat captain that provided us with lots of information about the area and creatures inhabiting it. While we cruised about we saw many air boats passing with people wearing hearing protection and sitting in the sun. This boat had overhead protection from the sun (or rain if needed). Seeing the gators eat from the captain's hand as he reached over was a treat as was the young gator he allowed us to take pictures with on the boat. Thanks for a great afternoon.

Everyone was awesome, from the very patient young lady at check-in who was willing to reschedule our reservation, to the boat captain who left his break to tender our 12 person group to the boat we missed (tip: don’t be late to your reservation), to the funny and informative boat captain who facilitated the tour.
Our group age ranged 3 generations, everyone had a great time.
I would definitely recommend this tour. Hopefully your group is better organized than ours.

Staff was friendly and guide was informative. This is such a great way to see the city and get a taste of what we want to come back to later. I just wish we had gotten it for multiple days, since parking is so expensive and/ or hard to find in the city!

We really thought that the 2 hour swamp tour with Captain Matt was perfect, and we especially appreciated the narrative that he provided, as we learned a lot about the wildlife and the ecosystem.
We also appreciated the roof of the boat under the hot July sun, and since the sides were so open, it didn’t feel enclosed at all.
    Fun and educational.

It was just beautiful. My favorite part is that we got to touch a real baby alligator. The guide was full of humor and you could tell that he loved what he was doing, even fed a big alligator from his hand! Impressive tour, the nature is beautiful and the people really nice, they rescheduled me on the afternoon because I missed the boat in the morning, and for free! They also have buses to go back to the city (18$ a way).

Pros: The staff was great and genuinely knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. We got to see one baby alligator in the wild and pet a baby alligator on the boat. The ride was fun, kid friendly and safe.

Cons: the tour is 30-40 minutes from New Orleans, so it’s time traveled as well. We opted for our own transportation which worked well from NOLA but on the return we couldn’t get an Uber so the tour company was kind enough to let us pay for a voucher to get on the busy which cost $75 for 2 adults and 3 kids one way! Which brings me to the two other points which is - it was not made clear that getting a ride back would be so hard, and when you look at the cost and time to do this as a family with transportation it ends up being a very expensive tour in my opinion.

Thank you for the your feedback. You did book through a third party, Viator, and I do apologize that they did not clearly communicate the transportation with you, but we do not have control over that. However, if you have booked directly with us, we would have communicated that to you if you inquire about it. Also, we have signs by our dock to let our guests know to arrange transportation as it may be difficult to return to the city. We offer round-trip transportation as part of the tour to avoid this problem as we would hate to see anyone get stuck at the dock.

After some confusion about which boat we were supposed to be on (we chose the small boat but they ticketed us for the big boat) we got going. Alligators all around, literally surrounded our boat looking for the tasty marshmallows. The best part was when the guide pulled reached under his seat and pulled out the baby alligator and passed it around for a photo opp. Awesome. My advice is the small boat, more expensive but more personalized touch.

We booked a 12:00 swamp tour with hotel pickup on July 19,2022. Alert transportation picked us up from our hotel within the time frame (9:45-10:100). and we were on our way. Since we had some extra time before the swamp tour our bus driver drove us around the Caesars Superdome, Smoothie King Arena and Convention Center/Mardi Gras World. We arrived at the tour about 30 minutes early and were able to visit the gift shop and use the restrooms before the tour started. We did the flat swamp boat tour which was relaxing and very informative. Dewey was a very entertaining guide. The boat had plenty of room, comfortable (padded seats) and even had a restroom. Overall, we were very satisfied with this tour.

Captain Jason’s knowledge about the swamps and the alligators is unmatched! He talked about alligator conservation efforts and how sea water is slowly mixing into the fresh water, slowly killing the Cypress trees. This tour is definitely worth it because you get to see swamps, bayous, marshes, and lakes!
