About the operator

- V9141ZVlaurenj0 contributionsGhost and Vampire TourMy husband and I had so much fun with our French Quarter Phantom guides. We actually took 4 tours and each were well worth it. The walking tours are easy strolls through key areas of the city that anyone would enjoy. Our guide for the Ghost and Vampire tour was so much fun. Her storytelling of the city's odd scandalous history was both hilarious and informative. We were in a bigger group of 20 since it was a Friday night and it was not a problem. The tours truly made our first visit to New Orleans special. We wouldn't have experienced even half of the locations or appreciated them had we not taken the tours.Written December 1, 2024

The walking tours are easy strolls through key areas of the city that anyone would enjoy. Erin was our guide for the Sinners and Saints and the Garden District tours. She had the perfect amount of theatrics while sharing the city's unique history through storytelling. Her extensive knowledge and native love for New Orleans comes through in her tours. She even gave us a list of places to eat by category as recommendations from a local. The tours truly made our first visit to New Orleans special. We wouldn't have experienced even half of the locations or appreciated them had we not taken the tours.Written December 1, 2024

- Jennifer H0 contributionsGreat tourERIN. Amazing. Great stories, quirky jokes, and kept three teenagers engaged and very interested for 2 hours. When it finished my quiet 14 year old son teared up and said “I was too shy to tell her how great that was. Her stories and the way she told them were one of the coolest experiences I’ve had.” So, Erin, if you read this- thanks! Very fun family experience and authentic and informative as well.Written November 30, 2024
- andrewlL1699DN0 contributionsPerfect intro to New Orleans! We booked a tour through Airbnb and they canceled on us 30 minutes before the tour. We were so frustrated but we searched on trip advisor and found these tours still had openings. I truly can’t explain how incredible Katherine was as a host. She was funny, informative, and also so reasonable when my idiot friends were clearly drunk and needed to be. I truly loved this tour and it’s a perfect thing to do as your first experience in New Orleans to get your bearings and understand the layout of the city. Thank you for making our night!!!!!!Written November 28, 2024
- bradleywY1699XW0 contributionsLong Detailed and InterestingTour was amazing, our guide Kathrine was a local and knew all the best spots and answered any questions we had. The tour was 2 hours or so with a very nice break in the middle. I expected cheap thrills and got an awesome historical journey through the beautiful French Quarter.Written November 27, 2024

- Alexia H0 contributionsAngela the tour guide was great! Great pace, truthful historical facts, and fun speculation (with a break in between)So glad we booked with French Quarter Phantoms — Angela was such a wonderful tour guide, with just the right dose of dry humor and truthful disclaimers about the content which what we were told on the tour. We even had a drink/bathroom break at a local haunted bar. Highly recommend booking (and tipping) her for any of the other tours offered by this company as well!Written November 25, 2024

Our experience with French Quarter Fantoms was flawless, from beginning to end. Email correspondence was quick, as I booked the tour. Our tour guide, Justin, was very knowledgeable and also sensitive to the details of each story. An added bonus, Justin was a college history major and his love of the history of NOLA was apparent. He was open to questions and conversation about each of the crimes he covered. This tour was a little pricey, but well worth the money if you are able to make it work with your getaway budget.

After a busy, hot and humid day in New Orleans our group of 14 were feeling a bit exhausted by the time we got to the tour. Our check in process to get our armbands was fast and easy (as fast as easy as wrangling a group of 14 can be :) ). We got our hurricanes-and this was really the only small issue we had with the tour. The hurricanes were good, but the tour offers BOGO hurricanes with the purchase of a tour and we were each only given one, even when we were ordering two at once for other people in our group. Definitely not a dealbreaker though, and for anyone booking this trip I'd recommend letting the bartender know you're part of a tour group if you want to take advantage of the BOGO hurricanes.
We met our tour guide, Justin, outside of the Voodoo Lounge and he immediately began learning our names and asked us if there was anything we'd specifically like to see. He explained the rules for the tour clearly and concisely and we were off! We first stopped at Louis Armstrong park where he told us about the jail that had been there, and his storytelling was fantastic. We then went toward St Louis Cathedral and he continued to tell us interesting true crime stories along the way that had us all entertained. He took questions and responded to them fully and intelligently and the humor he added to the tour was splendid. After Jackson Square he took us to a pirate bar and then took us to the Lalaurie Mansion. The tour ended afterwards and we all parted ways feeling more educated about the history of this fantastic city and having greatly enjoyed our time on the tour with Justin.
