I highly recommend this tour, and it is very reasonably priced for such a rich and dense tour. Bobby, our guide, not only gave very lively accounts about the ghosts and vampires of New Orleans with flair, but he is very knowledgeable about the history behind each location and story. Bobby consistently answered each question and also diffused the experience with humor, when appropriate, and gave warning when he was going to discuss a couple of stories that he said no humor would be used. His passion for the history and lore of New Orleans is contagious, and I would love to go on another tour with this company. Our family of 4 loved it. I would recommend not bringing anyone under 13, or someone sensitive to horror stories, as some of the information is relatively graphic. It was also nice to get a 10 minute bathroom and drink break!

Te’Erika was everything on this tour. Her passion and enthusiasm for the lore and history of the French Quarter ghosts and Vampires is evident and made the tour that much more enjoyable. We took our three kids (12, 10 and 7) and they too were entertained the entirety of the tour.

I have not taken any other ghost tours in New Orleans but I can say definitively that you will get your money’s worth on this tour. You will learn and be entertained and have a great memory of New Orleans when you leave.

We took the tour at twilight and would recommend this time for everyone. The darkening specter of the French Quarter added to the lively, dark shtick of our guide kept things engaging and well worth the reasonable $20 per person tickets. We were lucky to get a smaller group — just the right setup.

This was such a good tour and our guide, Leonard, was knowledgeable, funny and very patient with our large group. The bar we left from was very easy to find and the drinks were good. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the stories were super interesting and didn’t feel rushed. He answered questions and gave us time to take pictures. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a fun activity in the quarter to learn more about some of the darker history of the city. Ask for Lenny!

I have done several of these all over the country--third time I've done one in NOLA, so I feel like I have a good enough reference to say French Quarter Phantoms Ghost Tours was well worth the money! We were dying to introduce my 8 year old to the ghost tour experience, but were a little afraid he might get too frightened. This tour combined just the right amount of spooky with the just the right amount of history about NOLA. The best part was by far our tour guide, Malika. I highly encourage anyone who is touring to request her. She was phenomenal. She made me laugh several times, and even tried to keep it light when asking tour guests to keep their masks up over their nose (which I can imagine puts these guides in an uncomfortable position).

What really made Malika stand out was how she did not miss a beat in the middle of a torrential downpour. There was a lot of loud thunder, blowing rain, and she was getting soaked (even with her umbrella), but she kept on as if the spooky weather was all part of the tour.

My son loved it and wanted to do it again a second time. It's such a fun way to learn a little bit of history about a place! If you're debating on this one, don't. Book it and enjoy!

My husband and I are split on this. He liked it better than I did, so I'm averaging our reviews. The positive about this tour was that we learned a lot of history and it was fun to walk around the city. Our guide was a history major and he came from that perspective, and was good at it. The downside of the tour was that not once did I get even the slightest chill or thrill like you want from a ghost tour. The tour was really a history lesson with ghosts as a throwaway as the last few sentences of each of the five stories. The guide is working from a disadvantage because the streets are busy, which makes things less spooky. But no effort at all was made on our tour to encourage any paranormal imaginations.

We had a terrific tour with Evian, named for a stranger. He is upbeat and makes you feel like you're being showed around the city by an old friend. He's funny without being performative. We've taken a few tours with this company over the years and the guides are always captivating story tellers. Not over the top, non-believers will enjoy the tour for the historical context.

With Covid, rules are constantly changing. (Is this bar open today? How many people are allowed to come in and use the restroom at the same time? How many people are allowed per tour?) French Quarter Phantoms staff are navigating uncertainty around every corner, yet they handled it with grace, humor, and professionalism.

Be sure to bring cash to tip your tour guide afterwards. They deserve it!

Bobby Thomas was an excellent and very knowledgeable guide. He is a great storyteller and has a vast background in history and the city of New Orleans. Bobby didn't try to sensationalize the stories too much. Also he was funny and entertaining, without being "theatrical."
He gets major points for scaring the absolute crap out of me about even walking under the awning of the LaLaurie House. For the rest of my trip, I was paranoid that we would unknowingly find ourselves under that awning bc we weren't paying attention. I do NOT need that kind of negative mojo in my life!

My friend and I took an evening tour on Saturday December 11th. We enjoyed our sweet, sugary hurricanes and embarked on a tour with our excellent tour guide. We learned about the city's history, the haunted homes and businesses, and the legend of the New Orleans vampires. Our tour guide was factual and fun! We both very much enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting NOLA. It was a great deal too! Plus our tour guide gave us some great food/restaurant recommendations.

Adelai was outstanding! The French Quarter Fairy puts her heart and soul into this and it shows!

You can tell this tour guide has a passion for the history and lore of the city. She does a great job of tying the soul of the city into its history. What's so special is how the local myths are connected through her storytelling into the history of New Orleans. She even ties pop culture into the tour by letting you know how a landmark was used in a movie or TV show.

Additionally, she's a great performer. Adelai keeps you engaged not just by telling you stories about the macabre parts of the city's history, but also by keeping you on your toes the whole time. She always cracking jokes and getting the group to participate.

If you have to have one tour guide for this city, why not let it be an adorable and witty Cajun fairy?
