She answered all of my questions and really seemed to love what she was talking about. - K766MVjessicas0 contributionsA must take tourI took this walking tour with my husband and two aunts. It was early July so of course it was miserably hot. This was something that we booked mainly for my aunts, not something I was looking forward to. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised!! I absolutely loved this tour, even more than the horror tour we took the previous day. It was so interesting and the houses were beautiful, even for someone not too into architecture or history, it's a wonderful tour. Interesting enough that you could *almost* forget about the hellish heat and humidity! I'd definitely take this tour again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Our guide was lovely and very knowledgeable. I'm terrible with names but I think her name was Eva/Ava. I'd love to take a tour with her again. Thank you for a wonderful time!!! ❤️Written July 26, 2024

- crystalrP4775WK0 contributionsWalking Encyclopedia of Architecture!Erin was amazing! I learned so much about the history and architecture of New Orleans! I love hearing people speak about their passions and Erin is clearly very excited about architecture and design. She not only described the styles of architecture and its history, she also identified the individual elements of the design and their purpose (if any). She was a walking glossary in the best way!Written July 21, 2024
- jennylL5731VY0 contributionsAbsolutely amazing tour and guide (Erin)!Erin was an absolutely amazing guide! Her vast and local knowledge of New Orleans makes this tour one of a kind! She has great insights, is funny and is incredibly well versed in architecture and history. Highly recommend!Written July 21, 2024
- WithLoveFromParisxx0 contributionsHighly recommended for the storytelling!A great thing to do in New Orleans, this was the perfect introduction to the city. Pepe was a superb guide, with the right mix of history, storytelling and humour. We learnt so much about the city’s history and also Voodoo (and to get to go into the only authentic shop). Huge thanks for a great experience!Written July 19, 2024

Our guide Richard seemed like a nice guy and you wanted to like his schtick but it was just so boring! His historical stories were loosely tied to ghost and vampire stories but his delivery was just not exciting. At times, he would get caught up in what he was saying and looked like he was trying to remember his lines. We had maybe 5 or 6 stories in the 1.5 hours walk with a 15 min bar break in the middle (where we seriously thought about ditching the tour but since we paid we continued though there were others that left). Save your money skip this tour.

I highly recommend this tour, and it is very reasonably priced for such a rich and dense tour. Bobby, our guide, not only gave very lively accounts about the ghosts and vampires of New Orleans with flair, but he is very knowledgeable about the history behind each location and story. Bobby consistently answered each question and also diffused the experience with humor, when appropriate, and gave warning when he was going to discuss a couple of stories that he said no humor would be used. His passion for the history and lore of New Orleans is contagious, and I would love to go on another tour with this company. Our family of 4 loved it. I would recommend not bringing anyone under 13, or someone sensitive to horror stories, as some of the information is relatively graphic. It was also nice to get a 10 minute bathroom and drink break!

Malika did a terrific job of giving us a great overview of the city's history, particularly relating to ghosts and vampires in the French Quarter. What was impressive was that she could explain things that were seemingly supernatural at the time, and simultaneously, still encourage us to suspend belief, because there were incidents that are mysteries to this day. My boyfriend and I loved the experience. She did a great job of holding our attention for nearly 2 hours. Great intro to the city and it's rich past! I highly recommend it.

We attended with one adult who loves scary things, one who is scared of her shadow, and one teenager. We all had a blast.
Bob, our tour guide, was the quieter of the two guides leading that night and at first, we thought we'd be in for a bummer. But as it turned out, Bob was a tremendous storyteller who not only managed to entertain us with local lore but was also skilled at managing the crowd.
A few of the adults on our tour had a few too many before we started, but Bob managed to keep the group together, safe, and moving at a good clip from spot to spot without letting any shenanigans distract things.
He added some fun details about modern local personalities, as well as a few good corny jokes.
The tour itself was a good walk and timed well without being overkill.
For the price, you can't beat this entertaining and informative tour. Definitely would recommend!

Luke was our guide and he was AWESOME! He was very fun, knowledgeable and a great storyteller! We had a great time and were spooked by the stories! We really enjoyed hearing about all of the ghost and vampire stories and history of the city. We would do this again, it was a great time!
He also took the necessary COVID precautions. He had on a mask the entire time, used hand sanitizer often and made sure the group spaced out between other parties.

Te’Erika was everything on this tour. Her passion and enthusiasm for the lore and history of the French Quarter ghosts and Vampires is evident and made the tour that much more enjoyable. We took our three kids (12, 10 and 7) and they too were entertained the entirety of the tour.
I have not taken any other ghost tours in New Orleans but I can say definitively that you will get your money’s worth on this tour. You will learn and be entertained and have a great memory of New Orleans when you leave.

Our guide was great and the free drink adds to the experience! Can't really decide if this was a good or a bad thing but after the tour was over one of the couples in the tour was still in conversation with our guide about the most haunted building of the tour and the guide described how on some nights pictures that tourists have taken have had some kind of apparition come out in the pictures. The couple then shows our guide a picture and she says - "yep exactly like this one..did you take this from our website?"
But they say no..we took this when on our tour tonight!!! That was crazy! I don't know if it was the alcohol or the picture or the apparition in it. It was spooky!

We were told by our concierge Wilbert at Royal Sonesta that this was the tour to take and he wasn't wrong. My husband and I love culture and history, and Kathy gave us just that. As a native to the French Quarter, Kathy took pride in her storytelling in giving the real history of the FQ as well as the free people of the Tremé. The 8p tour gave her more time to delve into the history, so if you're looking for more than a cheap thrill, take this tour. She didn't provide us with some kitschy, theatrical, romanticized performance. She gave us what is the heart of New Orleans. This tour meets at The Voodoo Lounge, and tour goers receive 2 for 1 Hurricanes. It's a pre-made drink of cheap alcohol and punch in a souvenir plastic cup. This drink will encourage you to talk profusely and forget you're on a tour with others. Resist that urge and enjoy what this tour has to offer. Even with the abundance of alcohol, Kathy was professional and maintained order of the group as she took us through the Quarter providing documented, historical facts with a bit of folklore mixed in. The tour ends at the famous LaLaurie Mansion. Not one person was disappointed by their experience. I would happily take a tour with Kathy again. Thanks, Kathy!

This was such a good tour and our guide, Leonard, was knowledgeable, funny and very patient with our large group. The bar we left from was very easy to find and the drinks were good. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the stories were super interesting and didn’t feel rushed. He answered questions and gave us time to take pictures. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a fun activity in the quarter to learn more about some of the darker history of the city. Ask for Lenny!

My sisters and I had the best time on this tour with Aaron as our guide! He was so knowledgable with the city's history and we got plenty of chills from his stories at the spots on our tour. I highly recommend taking the 8:00 tour so that it gets dark while you're on it. It really adds to the ambiance!

I'm interested in booking this as an optional event for a group but I won't know how many we have until the day of. Is there a way to book all the spots available for March 25, 2023? Thank you!

You would have to contact them. I know when we went, there were several groups at the same time and a couple of them were private.
They might be able to charge you a flat fee, but am not sure, sorry!

Children's tickets are cheaper, but this is NOT appropriate for children under twelve. There were kids around ten years old with us on our tour and they were freaking out with some of the graphic details from the LaLaurie Mansion stop.

No it’s not really a day time tour and you wouldn’t want it to be as it is spooky and the dark adds to the vibe

Information mentions "small group" - what does this mean is the largest size group we might be with, and would a Sunday night 8pm be likely to be a smaller group than Saturday night?
Written August 3, 2018
If you have larger groups, they will split you up so that everyone can hear the stories.

My 14 year old daughter and I will be staying at the Hyatt by the Superdome in about a week. We are very interested in your Ghost/Vampire tour, but a native New Orleanian (?!) has raised some concerns about safety in that part of the French Quarter. We would probably travel by streetcar...how safe would it be to travel back to the Hyatt after the tour? Is there a lot of activity in that area at night? Should we streetcar there and Uber back? She really scared me!
Written July 6, 2018
Where the tour is walking is safe. Heading back that distant to your hotel, you may want to take transportation back.
