- Mullos19620 contributionsSuch a fabulous experienceWhat a great day ! I honestLy expected this tour would be a cliche, and a bit of a joke - but how wrong could I be? We drove to the site ourselves and the scenery on the way from New Orleans was fabulous. Once at the tour company, it became clear pretty quickly that this is a serious, well organised operation. We joined a boat with around 20 guests as Captain Dustin gave us the run down on wha5 we’d see. He undersold himself and the tour. His knowledge and passion for the swamps, wildlife, geography and history is amazing. And all told in a friendly informative manner. He was in no rush and wanted the best experience for us. Within minutes, literally we were among ‘gators. Then more, then down little side estuaries where turtles, raccoons, egrets all entertained us for nearly two hours. Adults and children alike had an absolute ball. I’d recommend this, and Captain Dustin in a heartbeatWritten September 7, 2024

Karen, our bus driver was great! She was full of knowledge. We learned a lot about New Orleans. After, the tour she dropped several of us off near our next destination. In the days following the tour, we went back to City Park, the garden sculptures park, garden district and Frenchmen st. We would highly recommend this tour and company.

I chose the first tour of the morning to start my sightseeing day. Butch, our tour guide, was knowledgeable on the city history, cultural landmarks, and attractions. The benefit from the first tour is the beignets and coffee stop toward the end. Once the tour was over, now I had a list for future sightseeing in New Orleans!

I’m so glad that we did this tour! Our tour guide, Derek, a New Orleans native, gave all the details and history of the city which was exactly what I was looking for and very funny and full of good recommendations too! Overall, I was ever so pleased to be in air conditioning and driven around being told about all the things instead of marching in the heat trying to see it all and figure it out on my own! We booked a walking night time ghost tour at the same time and saved a few bucks too…highly recommend that tour as well!

Whilst the primary reason for doing the this bus tour of the city was the air conditioned bus and seeing a cemetery. I would not do it again. Tour guide talked more about himself then what was out the window. Especially in garden district. The stop at the distillery was a non event and the prices expensive, at least give people a free tasting they may then buy the goods. Instead :Take the St Charles green line tram jazzy tkt $3 for a day to see the Lafayette cemetery in the garden district it’s closed but you can see most through the gates. St Louis cemetery No 3 we visited was ok nothing that exciting you won’t miss by looking through the gates of No 1 Lafayette. $54 for 2.5 hour tour could be better spent on the tram. Thought we would get more info about French quarter and it’s buildings inside.

What a great bus tour of the city and the cemetery. Our driver Butch was very knowledgeable about the history of the city and made the trip interesting and fun. This is good to do if you’ve never been here so you can decide where to spend more time later. I definitely recommend this tour and they are open and social distancing so it was also a safe trip.

We got picked up on Canal Street across from the hotel we stayed in. Renee, our tour guide, is very knowledgeable about the history and the locations in the city. I did not care about the cemetery too much (still a very nice to see)- what I liked about the trip is to see all the beautiful houses in the different districts of New Orleans and listening to Renee explain the history and anecdotes around them! After the cemetery, we went to Cafe Du Monde and grabbed some beignets. Thank you Renee for showing us around! Would definitely recommend the tour for tourists who are not very familiar with the city!

Our city and cemeteries tour was great, thanks to Derrick. We had a really bad tour with Royal Carriages where we payed the same amount for 1/3 of the time. Cajun Encounters and Derrick did such a better job. Derrick kept the history coming with his own insights and answered our questions. We went through the city in order of development, stopped at the St. Louis Cemetery #3, the authentic Cafe du Monde experience in City Park, not that crap cafe in the French Quarter. We love what we learned from Derrick about the city and its people.

Amazing tour. Well worth the money. Our guide Butch was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. It would not have been the same without this guide, he was awesome. We felt as if we knew the city when the tour was over and would take this tour again in case we missed something. Best deal in town for those on vacation.

This is a tour bus tour which is great for limited mobility people. However this tour was rushed and didnt offer the distillery stop that i was hoping for/ was advertised. There are 3 different time slots and i picked the 3pm time because it stated it would take you by a local distillery. That was not the case we went to a park for 20 min and a cemetery for about 5 min after he was done talking. He wasnt a super engaging tour guide. I fell asleep it was so dry..
I would recommend this tour forsome but not for all ages.

A fairly intimate bus tour that provides a glimpse of things to see and do in the city. On this particular day we stopped at a cemetery and a distillery.
Steve was very informative having learned a lot about the city from placards on buildings ( so he said) and probably from his wife who may have grown up in NO.
Note that there are numerous pickups in the city before the tour starts. I think all brochures indicate the same start time, with a parenthetical comment to allow an extra 30 minutes for pick up. We waited 30 minutes from our start time after arriving 15 minutes early. Luckily it wasn’t too hot

I am terrified of bridges! Do you cross the Causeway over Lake Ponchartrain?
Written June 22, 2019
No. We did not cross any bridges on our tour. Of course, you can always ask the concierge at your hotel.

What is the anticipated time of the tour ?
