    A Must Do Food Tour
We had a fantastic time on the walking food tour of the French Quarter in New Orleans. The selection of food was great, and the hot sauce store was definitely my favourite stop—sampling the different varieties was a highlight. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and we had more than enough food to last the day. Plus, since it was our first day in the city, the tour really helped us get our bearings. Highly recommend.

A great amount of learning about New Orlean's little known historical facts combined with a great culinary experience!
My wife and I had a wonderful tour of the main streets of the French Quarter with Dylan...Dr Gumbo himself...as his guides were all on holiday today after possibly a hectic weekend! That was the icing on the cake as Dylan is so knowledgeable about New Orleans itself that he gave us a glimpse into bits of its history which we'd not heard from anyone else or from guide books!! The food that we sampled was amazing in terms of variety and quantity and so much that we definitely had both lunch & dinner!!!

If you don't like spicy food it's not for you it has a kick we learned a lot especially the difference between Creole food and Cajun that we didn't know. Very educational

Delicious and outstanding tour and an excellent guide! We are a family of 5 (2 grandparents and 3 grandsons ages 18, 17 and 17) and all of us enjoyed thoroughly this tour. Our guide Beth was wonderful --- welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, entertaining, and with a great sense of humor. She gave us the history of all the foods we had, their ingredients, as well as their place and signficance in New Orleans culture. We highly recommend this tour!

    Good experience and great food!
The food tour was great. Mike was a good tour guide and added the right amount of history, but was a bit abrasive at times. He needs to keep in mind that sometimes people need to use restrooms when they are not at a scheduled stop. Nature calls when nature calls. He was snarky to a family member when this person needed to use the restroom. Not called for. He also snapped at another customer for something else. He is a good guide, but needs to understand that not everything happens on his schedule.

Beth gave us a great deal of detail on various drinks local to New Orleans and then the history of some drinks. The drinks we had along the way were excellent. I had tried a sazerac cocktail at a bar along Frenchmans St and did not like it however at Sobu they made a more authentic Sazerac and I was blown away, excellent cocktail when made correctly. We really enjoyed this tour and the bars were beautiful, definitely hidden gems. Recommend you do this early in your trip so you can have some places to quietly sit and enjoy.

YOU MUST DO THIS!! It was my second time on this tour, but I got a very different experience with a different guide and with slight different drinks. This one was just as much fun as the first, and I highly recommend this for anyone coming to NOLA. Great for couples or friends or even solo.

Our guide Beth was AaaaHhhhhmazing !!! The perfect balance of knowledge and fun. Very well organized. Everywhere we went they were ready for us with VIP seating and drinks . Every ounce of time was well spent. She even graciously stopped at a shop she knew for a wig wardrobe update!!! She followed up immediately with all the information I asked for -including pictures she took for us . This was the best way to start your New Orleans trip … really helps you get your bearings and have a few bars you know to go to. Definitely do THIS ! Loved it …. Thank you Beth.

Beth was Funny!!! I much appreciated the companies willingness to entertain just ME. Not many people signed up, but at the last minute we did have a small cozy group of Four Three customers and Beth the tour guide😊 . It’s all to important to have people who actually enjoy what they’re doing as your tour guide. Beth will even poke fun at you a little bit, just being engaging with you. For me without this tour, I would NEVER just go Bar Hopping. But this made the whole experience feel controlled and safe.

We did the cocktail history tour and I cannot recommend this tour more! It is a must do activity when visiting New Orleans. Our guide was very knowledgeable and patient even when all of us got three sheets to the wind lol I did actually pay attention to what she talked to us about at each stop and I would say definitely do this if you drink at all. New Orleans has a rich history in culture and their invention of some amazing cocktails is just part of it. The Pimm's Cup and Grasshopper were invented at the restaurants we tried them at.

I would say if I did this again, I'd do the combo cocktail and food tour. Totally worth it!

I teach social studies, and my hubby was a history major, so this was the perfect tour of NOLA for us!

Started w/Rum Punch at Patrick's Vin Bar
*Sazerac and a *Crusted Brandy at the W's bar
*Pimm's Cup and *Ojen Frappe at Peychaud's
Raz___? at the O Bar

Compared to the other food/cocktail tours we ran into, we got a lot more bang for our buck.

*These drinks were shared, so it's wise to go with someone you don't mind sharing a glass with.

Our guide was a nice guide with many colorful stories but used a lot of catchphrases. We just made that into a drinking game, so it was even more fun.

History nerds unite! :) Thanks for the positive review. The last cocktail was the Roffignac at the Bourbon "O" Bar. And at 3rd Block Depot (W) it was Brandy Crusta. You should've received a follow-up e-mail with recipes. Cheers! Doc Owner, Doctor Gumbo Tours

A great experience when you don't know where to start with the New Orleans bar scene. Beth did a fantastic job mixing cocktail history with what we were drinking throughout the tour. The tour also ended at the perfect time allowing us to continue the night at her reccomendations or to venture out on our own. Highly reccomend!

It was fun! My wife and I (coming from different places) arrived separately. Anticipating her arrival, I bought our favorite wines. That was the last drink that I purchased. At the prearranged time, we were greeted by Lindsay Keen, our guide, introduced to Steve and Karen, our companions, from Dallas. We are Minnesotans. Whatever! We are kindred spirits. The idea is that we would drink “New Orleans.” Lindsay was a bartender, so she knows her way around. We started with Sazarac. Honestly, that is the last one that I remember. We had another drink at the same place, which had a sugar coating on the glass (kind of like a Marguerita) that was sweet, but good. We walked to another place. By this time, I was getting acquainted with Steve. What do you know, he is okay. We had two good drinks, including a grasshopper (not my favorite), and moved to the last place. By this time, I am no longer caring what we are drinking. Lindsay has, apparently, joined the four of us. And, after popcorn, we declared a good time and went our separate ways. I recommend this tour. Lindsay, our guide, was great! We met nice people, an unexpected pleasure, and would have continued on if it was part of the program.
