- nlee7090 contributionsGreat pub crawl! My two friends and I did the haunted pub crawl. We ended up being the only attendees on this particular night in a slow early December season, but Randy was a very attentive and informative guide. Because we had a smaller group, we were able to take our time at each stop as he gave us the history of each location, and we had some fun conversations on the walk between the bars and while enjoying our drinks. Would love to check out the other tours on offer the next time we're in town!Written December 8, 2024

It was enjoyable. Understand you are paying for a person who is performing...you walk to various areas and hear stories. She did speak very quickly so you had to really listen. I like that these tours are less crowded than others so more opportunity to hear and ask questions if needed. We had a break at a bar at one point with Voodoo drinks...they are purple, very sweet and an artificial grape flavor. Not my favorite. However, they also gave us a 2-for-1 deal on Hurricanes at Finnegan's Easy bar, which were very good.

It was our first time ever to New Orleans, and we went during Mardi Gras. But what trip to NOLA would be complete without a Haunted History Tour. We went for the latest evening tour possible, and were not dissapointed. Our tour guide was an awesome womxn named Brie (I hope I spelled that right) and she was not only knowledgeable but super entertaining and fun! We walked the French Quarters, and she had stories for every corner. The streets were packed, but she made sure we all kept together, and projected her voice clearly over the hustle + bustle. Brie even stayed with a handful of us out-of-towners after the tour was over to answer our many burning questions, lol! She was amazing, and I would highly recommend this historic tour.

My bridesmaids and I decided to do a spooky Haunted History Ghost Tour for my bachelorette this October. All I can say, is that Ariadne Blayde, our tour guide, was absolutely incredible!! She made the experience so worth it and we were mesmerized by her! Not only was she incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the French Quarter but also she knew just how to share spooky tales about the ghosts that lived there. We had a group of about 20 and we were all captivated by her. She knew exactly how to make the hairs stand up on the back of our necks in a spine chilling way, even in 80 degree temps + humidity.
Genuinely, she made this experience so special. She was so put together and communicative and attentive. Everyone was able to participate and everyone was able to hear her at all times. She also kept everyone safe and together, which I really appreciated when being in the French Quarter late at night. My friends and I talked about the stories for hours after wards, it was so much fun.
I would 100000% recommend this tour because of our experience having her as a guide.

Every vacation, my teen and I hunt down a ghost tour in whatever city we end up in, and this one did not disappoint! There were so many to choose from, but we had some friends rave about this particular tour, so we went with it. Jack was our tour guide and he was so fantastic at weaving the tales, you could have heard a pin drop in our group as we hung on every word. We were surprised halfway in to be given a break at a local establishment to grab drinks, etc, which energized everyone for the second half of the tour! Tour was a solid two hours, and filled with great history and haunts, plus a nice walk through the beautiful French quarter! Highly recommend! Ask for Jack!!! Added three photos I took with the same time stamp (8:28 PM on all three) that I took seconds apart. I do a lot of rapid succession pics with no flash on the tours at every spot. Reviewing them, I caught the greenish orb you see in the middle photo only above the hotel. Very cool, my son flipped when he saw it! It gave me chills! Total bonus to an already awesome tour! Happy Haunting!

Enjoyable for adults, maybe a little boring for kids, but not scary. No buddy jumping out at you, not on Bourbon St, but we were guided by fantastic guide, “Squid.”
If you can request her. She was very articulate, knew her history & did a great job of combining some contemporary humor, great one liners mixed in with the history of the area.
I would say the tour is about 1.5 miles total. Easy walking, not on Bourbon St so good for kids. They stop about halfway for you to get a drink & use the bathroom at a bar along the route.
New Orleans did not disappoint, although we saw no spirits we definitely saw some interesting characters. Thanks Squid you did a great job.

Two hours with no bathroom breaks. Our tour guide, James, thought he was staring on Broadway. He tried to act out scenes and mimic voices to the point you couldn’t understand what he was saying. We tried to find a restroom during the break. There are none near the tour’s chosen resting location. The guide carried on with the tour knowing we went to find a restroom. Nothing like paying $50 to be dumped into the street of a city you don’t know. Between YouTube and a good internet search you can go find these places yourself at your pace...... AND be able to pee whenever you feel the need!!!

We took an evening session of the Haunted History Ghost tour. It was a good time of day to do this walking tour as the sun was not so hot and things were starting to cool off. We met with our tour guide Bob at the appointed time. There were several other couples and families with us. Bob took us to several interesting spots around the French Quarter. At each spot, he would stop and gather us around and tell a story about the spot. He was always careful to make sure no one was in the street or blocking the sidewalk. Bob's stories were full of interesting details about the French Quarter, New Orleans and its history in general. We learned a lot about notorious events that have occurred in the French Quarter over the years. Bob was a very good speaker and made sure that everyone's questions were answered. We realized how good Bob's presentation was when we happened to overhear another guide, giving the same tour on a different night. The group was walking past the St Germain house and the guide only mentioned two quick statements about the house and kept on walking. Whereas when Bob took our group there he spent about 10 minutes going over the legend of St Germain, where he had come from, the person who lived in the house back in the early days as well as the current occupant of the house. It made us realize that who you get as a guide makes a difference in your experience. This walking tour lasts about an hour and a half so it isn't too strenuous. I would recommend taking Bob's walking tour in the French Quarter because you will learn things about the area that you may never discover on your own. You can sign up for this and other tours with Faith at the New Orleans Tour and Welcome Center on St Peter Street just down from Jackson Square.

We had a tour from a man who exaggerated his voice and story that the whole thing was too hoaky. After a long walk to 2 stops our group of 6 left the tour. The tour guide seems to have very “set” stories and it was just not interesting or fun. We were all very disappointed. In a word it was awful!

Our tour guide, Lucy, was phenomenal and we learned a lot on this tour. While there was a substantial amount of walking, I quite enjoyed the experience and the fact that it was interactive and immersive. I really enjoyed how animated she was in story telling and I could get a clear depiction of the story. I also loved how they offered 8PM tours. Walking around New Orleans hearing ghost stories added to the entire feel and ambiance of the tour. Overall, I greatly appreciated learning more about the history of New Orleans as well! It was quite educational and also spooky, making it a perfect activity for a vacation!

This would be a combination of two senior citizens that don't walk as fast, an adult and a 13 year old. Would the walking be tolerable for the older couple and available for a teen to go (if there are bars on the stop, etc)?
Written February 26, 2022
It was not a brisk walk, but I would not suggest someone with a walker or just painfully slow take the tour. There was one stop at a bar that was brief and there is no need to go inside. Our guide said to look in a certain corner and once the group gathered outside he told a story of an event that happened there. At no point was there anything profane, but there were goury stories, so the parent would have to judge if gore would be too much for a younger person.
