We come to Foxwoods Casino once a year for a 3 night stay. We stay in their suites which are quite large and accommodating. The suites are clean and well maintained although the carpet is showing some wear and tear. The restaurants are good although pricey and the outlet malls fair. We stay here as it is in between our children’s home and a nice stop for us in between. We enjoy the surrounding towns for daytime outings. My complaint is directed at the casino. Look I know you aren’t going to win a fortune playing slots but in the past they at least paid enough to keep me interested and in the game. This year they sucked the money out of my wallet in the first night, not one winning moment, no bonus games, zip, nada, nothing! Our next visit we will stay at a hotel without a casino and keep my money in my wallet. I am sorry to say this will be our last visit here as it was not fun at all!

STAY AWAY..worest resort even I. Cuba standard..please save your money go anywhere but here .staff are so impolite and food is discussing..nothing to eat..no beef anywhere all dishes are dirty this is definitely not royalton standard I have been in 8 different royalton and that is why I book thos hotel before seeing the review..but this is worest resort I stayed in last 10 years, day 3..and we are starving..and wait staff just laugh at us saying no English..my son already booked 4 rooms in November was canceled today thanks God

We had the most amazing experience on this tour. Booking the tour was so easy - we decided at the last minute we'd like to do this and it was made possible the following day. Everything ran so smoothly right from when we were picked up by our driver, ARUNA, on time and in a nice clean air-conditioned vehicle. ARUNA is very knowledgeable and pointed out some sights along the way. We then met up with our jeep driver, GUNE, who was also very knowledgeable about all the wildlife in the national park. Within the first few moments of entering the park, we saw elephants, solo, herds, mothers, and their young. They were everywhere. We saw loads of different birds, white spotted deer, buffalo, monkies and crocodiles. It was simply breathtaking and a day that my husband, son, and I will never forget.

Friendliest team, amazingly nice and welcoming people! Stayed over for the night in the park and had a genuine experience with Chaturanga and his colleagues. Fully recommended. Hope to come back!

Really enjoyed our jeep tour safari of Udawalawe National Park. Communication beforehand was great, we were picked up on time, we saw lots of elephants, crocodiles, eagles, hornbills, bee eaters. We were never rushed and always asked if we were happy to move on. Really good. We also had a good priced transfer to Tangalle, again no problems. Many thanks.

Amazing Safari experience! Our driver, Lasanta, was very knowledgeable, friendly and helped us to find the most wildlife he could 🐘 The food we were served for breakfast and lunch was delicious and home-cooked. We saw so many elephants. It was a really amazing experience, would definitely recommend this tour. We chose to do the full day experience, but had seen everything by lunch so could have done the half day, although every day is is different so you are not guaranteed to see anything!

I have travelled alot in Africa and was peasantly surprised to find the wonderful hosptality received at Thornicroft. The food was really amazingand i would visit again just to receive such wonderful treatment. It was a great place to visit with friends. Sunset in the park , drinks, great chats over their deck, everything was superb!

Chathu is a perfect driver and guide. He is a careful but not slow driver and he has lots of information to give about the places visited and, indeed, some excellent suggestions for places to stop and activities to do. He was good company for a single traveller, chatting when I wanted to and letting me admire the view at other times. His prices are very reasonable and are fixed. No hidden extras. I strongly recommend him if you need a driver/guide in Sri Lanka.

Really nice day trip from Ella to Mirissa with stops on Nine Arch bridge, Ramada waterfall, Ellawalle waterfall and Safari trip. Higly recommended

Four day Photo Safari with Stretch Safaris at Mana Pools on the Zambezi River in Zimbabwe . I took a family of 6 to Stretch Safaris who have a magnificent tented camp on the banks of the Zambezi River in the Mana Pools National Park . The camp is the best appointed and managed camp that I have been in , in my career . It is well appointed , the catering was excelent and produced wonderful and varied meals each day . The staff were on point with their service . The game viewing drives were in well maintained and appointed Land Rovers . The Guides Al and Stretch have been in the business for decades and were a fountain of information and with a 100% focus on delivering a real African experience . We had wonderful encounters with placid elephants . One bull walked past our vehicle with ion 10 feet and was completely unconcerned with our wide eyed presence . This was just one of a number of encounters with the elephant . We had great photoshoots of Wild Dog / Painted Dogs, Lions, Hyaena and plains game of various species . Stretch and Al took us on a number of walks on the wildside . Hippo were visible by the score with basking crocodiles on the Zambezi River banks . Tea and coffee with sandwiches and biscuits next to a different pan at 11 each day was a highlite . But , the best was Sundowners on the river banks with a G and T or Zambezi beer and snacks every evening before returning to the camp fire and a superb surprise dinner dinner. This was followed by a hot shower attached to the tent under the stars and a sleep serenaded by hippo and lions . Nothing could beat this experience. We chartered in and out with Executive Air .

We were picked up at our hotel in Mirissa by Chathuranga and took to Udawalawe. He was friendly and on time and the journey was easy. He then arranged for us to have a safari and came with us, he took photos for us and guided us around. Finally due to the fuel crisis in Sri Lanka, he was unable to get fuel for our outward journey to Ella so found a replacement at the same price and checked in regularly to make sure everything was okay. It was the best price around and we spoke to a few companies- it was simply brilliant!

Words cannot express the profound joy my kids had seeing up close exotic fauna, most especially the elephants. For sure, it is something that they'll not forget in a long time 🙂 The tour was reasonably priced, our driver was very helpful. The ride from/to the hotel was smooth, and hassle-free.
