As someone with extensive PADI diving experience (instructor many years back), I would absolutely recommend this dive school - it's well-organised, friendly, safe and offers a great underwater experience! There are many places claiming to be PADI affiliated in Pemuteran but not all of them are genuine; this place is. Karin, who runs Bali Diving Academy, has extensive diving experience and our dive instructor, Edi was great - he's calm, knowledgeable and thorough. I took my daughter here for her first ever diving experience and Edi put her at ease and ensured she understood all the key skills first in the pool before we headed out for a shore dive. I have to confess, I wasn't expecting much from the shore diving in Pemuteran but it was beautiful! The Bio Rock project is far more extensive than I was expecting and offers a perfect, easy introduction to diving. You can't complain if you see turtles on your first ever dive!

The Bali Diving academy Pemuteran crew is too good, they took great care of us and gave us the best possible service. It's always concerning when going with family but they were very considerate for everyone's requirements irrespective of the age. Special shoutout to Karin and Eddie for giving us two of the best scuba dives we've done. I would highly recommend going to the Pemuteran dive shop since it's very underrated and they have great crew and dive sites which are not at all crowded.

Our group was 10 divers doing 6 to 8 days of diving. We combined local dives with Menjangan and Pura Jati. Karin and her wonderful team of captains and dive masters took very good care of us. Bali Diving is very safety conscious but allowed us to dive to our ability and for our enjoyment. The DM's are keen to find critters. There were so many that the dives went very fast. We were picked up at our hotel and delivered to the boat even though it was only a short way up the beach from our hotel. Younger divers without cameras may not have needed the pampering but we appreciated the care. Some excellent coral dives are to be found at Menjangan but we booked around the full moon and just once had to change dive sites due to the current. Treasure hunting for wierd creatures on the local dives suited most of our group best but a mix of both coral and muck dives worked well. There are also different critters in this area than can be found at Tulamben where we headed afterwards. Karin suggested some local Warungs (restaurants) all were way above expectations. My girl friend and I initially walked in to Bali Diving Academy, intending to continue diving in Pemuteran, after being disappointed with the service of another dive center during our 3 previous dives. Gede, who eventually became our guide, welcomed us and was very informative about the packages offered by BDA. He didn't push us to make a dive reservation right away, since we weren't sure about the weather the next day. The next morning was bright and sunny and so we continued with our plan to do only 1 dive at Pemuteran. Everything was done professionally, and all the staff including the helpers were really nice. We really enjoyed our first dive that we decided to do another dive before driving back home right after the dives. The dive sites, Napoleon and Close Encounter, were beautiful. We really enjoyed our dives! The staff were really helpful, they even helped us to pick up our luggages at our hotel lobby and Gede sent me the things that I left unintentionally at the dive center upon leaving with his motorbike (twice... LOL! I am that clumsy haha) Thank you for your hospitality, great work ethics and professionalism.

I did the Open Water 1 course with Karin and it was fantastic. She is really thorough and explains everything really well. When I got nervous on the first dive in the actual sea, she really calmed me down and I was able to complete the dive. She is very attentive, knows the spots off by heart and has excellent knowledge and ability to point out incredible aquatic life. The team are very friendly and helpful and the equipment is in good condition. Highly recommened!

Roger looked after us and he was so easy going and explained how they look after the reef to ensure it’s protected for future generations. During the snorkel he pointed out many different fish species - very enjoyable trip. October is a great time to go.

Following a family snorkelling excursion to Menjagan Island during our stay in Pemuteran, our children age 10 & 12 decided to try scuba diving! Bali Diving Academy Pemuteran and especially Karin, their instructor, were fantastic from the first moment. Very professional, well organised made the kids experience smooth and easy throughout their DSD, as well as my PADI reactivate course as I hadn't dived for a while. Both the pool and the fun dive included in the package were brilliant. Especially the experience at the Biorock. I would recommend the dive shop and the whole experience to anyone looking to introduce their children to scuba diving!

I would highly recommend you this dive center. My snorkeling day was perfect, reliable and professional people with good English, very good food for lunch as well As the first minute I entered the dive shop I could see that I was at the right place. Karin (Caren for locals 😉) who is in charge of the dive shop is a great person and I am very happy to have met her, she was really nice to me and helped me to resolve an issue I was struggling with. Without her for sure the rest of my holidays would not have been the same.

Such an awesome trip! Great organisation and guides. The lunch supplied was yum too. Overall it was a great day.

I had a great time and mind blowing dives with Karin and the 2 Edies! The Edies are incredible spotters, next to seahorses and a pink frogfish we also saw a mimic octopuss🤩 I can highly recommend Karin and her team! They are professional and so much fun! For me they are the best divecenter in Pemuteran. I will come back!

Highly recommended. Very professional in all aspects, from booking and sending out reminders to the actual trip. We went out twice in a week, with different staff and different snorkelling spots at Menjangan, and both trips were nothing less than amazing. The very knowledgeable staff helped us see much more than we would have discovered ourselves and the reef life is amazing !!!. But for full disclosure, depending on the currents and season, also this paradise is affected by patches of plastic trash as most of the beaches here in the north-western corner, but it's up to all of us to help to change this.

We had a very warm welcome at the dive center. Only a small group of 7 people with two great instructors. Spend the hole day, loved it. Yummy lunch and water was provided as well.

I really enjoyed this as a kind of spur of the moment introduction to SCUBA. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful, and my instructor (Edi) was really good at conveying both the concepts and practical stuff. You learn in the deep end of a pool and then do a dive on the Biorock site, which was also a great introduction.
