Day 1: Fly north from Fairbanks to Alaska's North Slope

Stop At: Northern Alaska Tour Company, Fairbanks, AK 99708
Experience Alaska's Arctic wilderness on a 3 day journey with Northern Alaska Tour Company. On Day 1 fly from Fairbanks to Deahorse -- departure will be 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM - multi types of aircraft is used pending weights and final numbers of guests.

Stop At: Deadhorse, Alaska, Deadhorse Dr, Prudhoe Bay, AK 99734, USA
Travel out past the security gate onto the Prudhoe Bay oil fields and begin the journey by dipping your toe in the frigid waters of the Arctic Ocean. Since we are going past the security gate we do need your driver's license or passport information as part of the reservation for your security check.

Accommodation included: Overnight at Deadhorse Camp in Deadhorse, the service community for the site of North America's largest oil discovery.

Day 2: Ground tour from Deadhorse south Coldfoot

Stop At: James Dalton Highway, Fairbanks, AK
Explore up close the amazing arctic tundra of the vast Arctic Coastal Plain and feel the veins of ice just below the surface. Continue across the Arctic Coastal Plain before climbing through the majestic Brooks Mountain Range and over the Continental Divide at Atigun Pass.
Duration: 8 hours

Accommodation included: Overnight at Coldfoot Camp in rustic Coldfoot nestled in the Brooks Mountain Range.

Day 3: Continue the ground tour south from Coldfoot to Fairbanks

Stop At: James Dalton Highway, Fairbanks, AK
This morning continue your ground tour south to Fairbanks. Visit the historic community of Wiseman. Stop at the actual Arctic Circle sign and celebrate your crossing and make your way down to the Yukon river.
Duration: 8 hours

Stop At: Yukon River Bridge, Alaska
Experience the mighty Yukon River. Marvel at the majestic beauty of the northland's most famous waterway and learn of the river's storied past.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Arctic Circle Trading Post, Mile 49.5 Elliott Hwy, Fairbanks, AK
Visit the Arctic Circle Trading Post situated int he rural community of Joy, Alaska. Learn of early homesteading in Alaska.
Duration: 30 minutes

  • Children must be accompanied by an adult - children 4 or younger or lighter than 65 pounds require a car seat by Alaska Law.
  • Dress code is comfortable and should be in layers for the weather
  • Each traveler is allowed a maximum of 1 carry-on overnight bag and 1 day bag (i.e. purse, camera bag, or small day backpack). All bags will be weighed at check in and goal per person is 15 - 20 pounds.Operator provides free storage of large/heavy items while travelling with them.
  • Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately
  • Passport name, number, expiry and country is required at time of booking for all participant along with birth date.
  • All passenger weights MUST be advised at time of booking. Maximum weight 340 pounds.
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 8 travelers
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel at least 7 days in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee. If you cancel between 3 and 6 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 50 percent cancellation fee. If you cancel within 2 days of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee.

My husband and I took an 8 seater plane ride from Fairbanks to Deadhorse with Todd as our pilot. He was knowledgeable, professional and had a good sense of humor. The weather cooperated so we were able to see breathtaking sites. I enjoyed the literature and maps Todd provided.
